Ursulino Boutique Hotel

Firstly, the best thing about the hotel is the view from the rooftop, to relax on or to eat breakfast. The room we booked was a deluxe room with a terrace. I would not consider it a deluxe room, it was small dark with little open space. There is nowhere to leave cases when unpacked, leaving our cases in the hallway, which had no light, behind the room door The air conditioner although it worked did not cool the room at all. The key issue with the room one is the total lack of natural daylight due to the fact that the door to the outside terrace from the room is at the bottom of a 50-foot vertical shaft. So little or no light entered the room. On the first night music played throughout the night coming from the rooftop area. Apologies made in the morning by a staff member, as someone had forgotten to switch it off at 7pm as normal. Then on the second night it happened again. This time we managed to get it turned off by 9.30pm , having to phone someone as there are no hotel staff available after 7/8pm. If you are booking this hotel do not book room one with the ‘terrace’ as you will be extremely disappointed. Also the bright room pictures on the website of the room have been taken in such as way that they do not resemble the dark room we stayed in.

I stayed at the Ursulino Hotel in Sept 2026. There were issues related to construction outside the hotel and a few logistical concerns that affected my stay. Cecelia and company could not have been more gracious in offering a resolution that was very generous and magnanimous. I truly appreciate their effort to providing a satisfying conclusion to a difficult situation.
