There were plenty of taxis in front of the hotel but one employee insisted that we take another one, which turned out not to be a taxi. 45 euros for the airport instead of 19 euros and on top of that the so called taxi driver refused to give me a bill. He promised me to send it par email. Of course he didn't. Very nice hotel indeed, but the methods of some of the employees are those of pirats.

Group... Extremely happy. Great Accommodation, ambiance and superb location.
Three weddings and a conference.
Hotel lovely, staff lovely. However they host many weddings and conferences which is not conducive to a peaceful couples break. Three weddings in four days. Two had incredibly loud music and partying, one didn’t end until 1am. We made it clear on arrival we were sensitive to noise but no effort was made to accommodate us, probably as we had a suite which was directly over the weddings. We know one couple moved out as they were promised there would be no more weddings, but that proved to be incorrect. We understand the need to make money, but feel the hotel should be honest when booking…. You are liable to be heavily disturbed.

Fantastic
This is one of the finest hotels we’ve experienced. We used all their facilities and most of their dining choices. Bastion pool itself is quite an experience.

A postcard brought to life!
The Phoenicia provided me with an elegant, calming, and inviting space to enjoy my days in Malta. The garden strolls to the pool set with a postcard view. The staff were warm and gracious. Thank you for giving me such a memorable time.
