Reassuringly central in the heart of Malta's Capital, yet hidden from the bustle of the capital streets, this destination boutique hotel amazes with the most splendid, unobstructed view over the renowned grand harbour and the three cities. With its refined and lavishly restored Maltese architecture, Palazzo Ignazio is the perfect backdrop to spark your own story, craft lasting memories and experience Malta in all facets and beauty it has to offer. This brings us to: A Warmest Welcome in Style
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
If you are looking for a stay that perfectly blends luxury with authentic cultural immersion, look no further than Palazzo Ignazio. Our time here was nothing short of exceptional.
Location & Setting: Perfection The description is accurate, yet still doesn't do it justice. You are not just near a UNESCO Heritage site; you are living right in its historic heart. The ancient walled city, nestled between two harbors, is your neighborhood. Every morning, we stepped out onto cobblestone streets flanked by handsome 1500s palaces, with lively piazzas just moments away. It’s a history lover’s dream, with all the charm and ambiance you could hope for.
The Palazzo Experience: Peace and Comfort After days filled with exploration, returning to Palazzo Ignazio was a blessing. It truly is a sanctuary of comfort and peace of mind. The style is elegant and boutique—thoughtful, quiet, and impeccably clean. It manages to feel both luxurious and wonderfully personal. The team is attentive and gracious, ensuring every need is met while giving you space to simply be.
Who This Is For: This is the ideal stay for discerning travelers who want more than a standard hotel. It’s for those who wish to absorb the soul of this ancient capital, then retreat to a haven of calm and refinement. You are paying for an experience, not just a room—and it delivers entirely.
Final Verdict: Palazzo Ignazio offers a rare trifecta: a premier historic location, supreme comfort, and genuine tranquility. It elevated our entire trip. We left feeling enriched, relaxed, and already dreaming of our return. Highly, highly recommended.
Entrance no wheelchair accessible two steps, hotel fully accessible once inside, including the roof, good size rooms walking shower. Staff amazing nothing was too much. We celebrated my wife's birthday, I pre ordered a cake and candles to surprise her, asked for it to be brought out during breakfast, staff arrived singing happy birthday, guests joined in, very special moment. Within walking distance of good restaurants, shops, St John's Cathedral. If you don't have Bolt, suggest you add the app, less expensive than rivals, longest we waited 4 minutes. Enjoy
Brilliant location in the middle of Valetta. Such a lovely hotel, with an amazing room. We had our own terrace and the views were outstanding.
Ok hotel, brwakfast brought by room service not good and 2 weeks after returning im chasing my £50 RETURNABLE DEPOSIT, so for that reason the experience is let down
Another lovely stay at this boutique hotel in the heart of Valletta as it is just a few minutes walk into the city centre. The Manager Archie and his team who include Sam and Angelina on reception, are all amazing. They cannot do enough for you and are so professional and accommodating. We would not consider staying anywhere else when visiting Malta and we have returned to this hotel 5 times now so they must be doing things right! The rooms are very modern ad well equiped, tidy, clean, and the beds are incredibly comfortable as they all have mattress toppers which makes a world of difference. Breakfast is all freshly prepared with lots of continental choices and the kitchen will accommodate other cooked options if required. 5 stars once again for our stay and we hope to return later in the year if our schedule will allow. Thank you, Archie and all, for facilitating a truly memorable stay with exceptional service. Barry and Rachel.
