Check in could be better
The hotel itself is really quite nice. The only things that let it down for us is the building work that is going on right outside our window and the service we received when checking in. The noise from the building site begins at 7am which is not too bad for us but if you want to sleep in you have no chance. On arrival we were given a room with no balcony even though we had the paper work that showed we had booked a room with a balcony. The lady on reception was very blunt and said it was our travel providers error and there was nothing they could do anyway as the hotel is full. As it was very late we didn’t argue and contacted our travel provider the next day who contacted the hotel. Later that morning the hotel reception contacted my husband to say that it was their error and they did now have a balcony room overlooking the building site. We declined the balcony room as it didn’t seem worth packing up all our possessions again for a room that had a balcony that we wouldn’t use because of the noise and dust from the building works. I really feel that the lady on reception couldn’t be bothered to look into the situation to what had gone wrong which is a real shame as it is because of her that we didn’t have a better experience. Would we use the hotel again? Probably once the building work is completed but I would contact the hotel ahead of arrival to double check my booking. The rest of the staff are all super friendly and helpful and the hotel is spotlessly clean. The breakfast is really good with lots of choice.

Avoid avoid avoid - especially if you’re All Accor member.
I am writing reviews extremely rarely, but this time I simply had to. I travel very often due to profesional reasons and stay in various different hotels, but this one forced me to write review… We have booked this hotel for a few days escape to celebrate our special occasions. Month ago, when we did reservation - we have explicitly asked for a quiet room FAR FROM ELEVATOR and described reasons of our visit to Matla. As a result of that, we have received noisy room exactly NEXT TO THE ELEVATOR with unsealed window, so lots of noise from both - all the guests using elevator and outside noise. We kindly asked for solution, but stuff did not even try to fix that, nothing was offered, nothing is possible. If you’re handling any higher All Accor program status - that means nothing in this place. We’re currently looking for a different hotel / or earlier flight back home - our escape trip was destroyed.

It was an amazing experience and all the staff was amazing and also luiz in the rooftop pool did amazing job by serving us and was a good experience at Malta 🇲🇹 for the very first time and everyone enjoyed it and themselves highly recommend this hotel and the stay rooms were also clean and tidy. Food was amazing good little get away definitely will come stay here again.
Lovely weekend in st Julian’s
We stayed here for the last three nights at the end of our trip at the north west of the island - loved our room with balcony and view over spinola bay - enjoyed having all the restaurants, bars and shops nearby. Lovely roof deck & lounging pool - great for sunset drinks. All the staff are so lovely- they made our stay really special and went the extra mile. Also enjoyed breakfast. Will definitely come again. Exceptional Service and an Unforgettable Experience
A truly outstanding stay from beginning to end. Our suite was beautiful, with an amazing view, and the service was simply impeccable. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
As we were celebrating our anniversary, we were delighted with a complimentary room upgrade, along with a bottle of wine, biscuits, and nuts waiting for us. Such a thoughtful and generous surprise!
Everything exceeded our expectations. We have no words to express how grateful we are for the wonderful hospitality. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!
