The hotel boasts an ideal location just 20 minutes drive from Malta International Airport and 15 minutes to Valletta, Malta's historical capital.
My wife and I stayed a week in a Club room which included access to the Hotels Club Lounge where breakfast, afternoon tea and evening snacks were served. The Lounge staff were excellent with the level of service provided. A few evenings we had dinner in Al Fresco where the food was good and great service. The hotels concierge service was very helpful and informative. The hotel is ideally located for public transport with regular buses to Valletta, Mdina etc. use the hotels rear entrance on level 8 for the bus stop and access to local shops.
We had a great experience at the intercontinental Malta with just a few little flaws. No issues with sunbeds. Didn’t seem to be a morning rush etc. Plenty around. They move towels (provided) after 45 mins so be quick at breakfast. Plenty to eat at breakfast. Staff very friendly. Our 1st room faced the garden which was really pretty but it was a corner room and no privacy and we like to sit out on our balcony so moved rooms. The manager was very helpful. Hotel was lovely but the corridors to room seem outdated and need to be updated. Rooms were grand but shower turns hot and cold (in both rooms) very quickly so be aware. Only 2 chairs on balcony even though there was 4 in our party. Pool side service was great. Scan barcode to order and delivered to your bed. I did think pool got really dirty at times and can get quite busy. Mixed rules though. Lifeguard telling people no games or jumping and then ignored others doing it. Thought the salon was quite expensive so didn’t use. Should have daily offers like other hotels that I went to. Wouldget more people paying for treatments. It’s right in party town but when in hotel you don’t hear it. Floor 8 I think it is has a back entrance to avoid the party strip. So overall we enjoyed the hotel and would recommend
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was very welcoming.
A special mention to Asmita , who was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. Her warm and attentive service made my experience even more enjoyable and made me feel genuinely welcome.
I had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. I look forward to visiting again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We have a great Stay in this Hotel. Hotel is comfortable, clean and good environment even staff are good and sweet. Specially Asmita she did great Job,clean the toim prefectly and sweet always make is comfortable.
Poor, run down, overpriced, can only dream of 5*, more like 3* As per my review earlier this year, so many others have since commented on the fact this hotel is no where near the 5* it claims to be! Hallways need refurb and deep clean, rooms need refurb deep clean and maintenance, rooms are shabby and not in the chic way, more in the dirty, unloved, and not looked after way! We stayed earlier this year, then returned the following month to stay at the Hilton, which was poles apart. Hilton was clean, modern, well maintained and everything we would expect and more. The Intercontinental was, as my review stated, more like a down market Holiday Inn and thus its pricing and status it claims is punching way above its weight - needs some TLC, some investment, and some refurbs, and when done could be lovely, but for time being is, imho, overpriced, dirty, shabby and a disgrace to the Intercontinental name / brand.
