fantastic hotel stay
fantastic room, staff were brilliant they helped us with everything, the pools were brilliant, everything was very smooth- highly recommend.
Excellent IC, location is a weak point, great staff and service
If you dont mind being in St Julian (it's theparty place in Malta and the street is super loud on weekends) this is one of the best hotels, it has its own Beach club, a huge courtyard with a large kids friendly pool, an indoor pool with a spa, 2 private lounges (Opal and Club IC lounge) and many rooms types. We were upgraded in a pool facing room with 2 Queen beds (1330) similar rooms will start on 10th floor and run in the numbers 28/30/32/34, it was very large, not renovated recently but looked OK. An espresso machine was in the room, a mini fridge for our use, large storage facilities enought for 3 people and their suitcases for a week.
The hotel service is outstanding, from Lounges teams to reception staff thru the Concierge team. I gave 4/5 to the room, as it seems to date a bit back, and for the price doesn't reflect the standard you can find in other IC, with modern looks, and newer beds.
The inside garden of the hotel, to where our room was facing, was a bird paradise in the evenings, making it a delight to listen to. The only con, is St Julian itself, but the hotel is a safe island of peace and quietness in this bustling party hub.
Note, the outer pool is shared with the Voco, and IHG hotel, linked by a bridge to the IC pool area, and the Holiday Inn next door. It can make the pool area crowded (The Voco has as well a rooftop pool; not accessible to the IC customers though). The pool has a large bar area, with a good service. We did not try the sky beach, as the main pool proved enough, in addition of the nice beach club. The Club Lounge is roof top like, and offer a 180degree view, it has a wide drinks selection (From classic cocktails, longdrinks, to Champagne) in the evening and some good pre diner snacks to nimble on, with an outstanding service team all day round.
All in all a very good hotel in St Julian, perhaps the area is the main issue, but the hotel has a very professionnal team, is well served, and has top amenities.

Amazing holiday
We’ve just returned and already miss this place. The hotel is lovely and conveniently located just minutes from the beach and right in the heart of the movida. The rooms are spacious and incredibly comfortable, and the cleaning service is top-notch. They cleaned our room daily and even changed the bed after my daughter dropped some chocolate on it.
Breakfast is fantastic, with fresh, delicious food and a wide variety of options. The chef is particularly talented, making fresh omelettes pancakes and more. We also loved the coffee. While you’d typically find a standard coffee machine, here they make it at the bar, which really makes a difference.
We opted for half board and each night explored a different restaurant. Paranga was our favourite. The staff is incredibly professional and the food is unbelievable, almost like you’re in Italy.
The beach club is also great, providing daily clean towels. I also visited the gym daily. It got a bit busy after 6:30 am but I managed to fit in my workout. They have a huge selection of machines and even some classes. I’m really pleased with the services.
Overall, we had an amazing holiday and we hope to return one day.
14 nights of bliss made better with the staff
A wonderful hotel right in the middle of st Julian’s yet when you walk through the door you could be anywhere in the world with no noise from the outside
We have just had 14 amazing nights here made 100% better by Mina @ Guest relations so a special thank you to her very professional and attentive
Breakfast had so much choice and really sets you up for the day but the special thing about breakfast was Zeljka restaurant senior manager honestly she made our mornings brighter such a lovely person so welcoming and definitely gave the restaurant a lovely feel we will miss her in the mornings !
Also a special thanks to Tamari again so pleasant and courteous and never forgot my husbands brown sauce ! And also the rest of the staff in the restaurant so lovely
The pool was wonderful but we visited the sky each a lot whilst we were there which is right at the top of the hotel 19th floor well worth the money 50 euros but you get 60 euros back to spend on drink and food and the food is amazing as are the views !
If I had one criticism at all it would be the rooms which are classed as city views which is really just a street view and in my opinion not such a nice street either but this may be ok for some people who literally are in their rooms to sleep we changed rooms to a garden /pool view we like to sit out on our balconies early evening before going out and this view was amazing
Concierge was really helpful too and we booked a trip with him which was great and just for general knowledge he is good ie can tell you which bus to get on and different stops if you have got specific places to visit

Excellent hotel and service just be aware of the location.
Booked a week stay on a B&B basis, city view room. St Julian’s is a busy town with the party strip (Paceville) literally next door. However this did not impact our stay in the least and once you enter the hotel this has a very relaxing atmosphere and no noise is heard from the pubs and clubs. Reception staff and concierge first class. Helped us with booking tours. Highly recommend highlights of Malta tour (thanks to Paul our driver and guide)and Comino boat trip. Malta has loads of history and I understand most of the top hotels are located here in St Julian’s as opposed to other towns on the island. Mdina is a must see attraction as well as the Blue Grotto,and a day trip to Valetta is also recommended. We spent most evenings in St Julian's bay and Balleta Bay.lovely restaurants.We had to navigate through Paceville and the streets could become busy at times but felt safe throughout our stay. Our room was on the 12th floor, overlooking some gardens/other hotels and rooftops containing air conditioning units. We didn’t utilise the balcony as the noise from the air conditioning was too loud. Very good soundproofing once balcony doors were closed ,despite being literally next door to Paceville. I would recommend possibly another room with a better view if this would bother others ,but did not impact our stay. Cleaning staff work tremendously hard and beds /towels changed every day. Comfortable Bed /pillows. Room maybe showing its age slightly given its rated 5*. Breakfast absolutely ffantastic and as others have mentioned all the staff are really nice and helpful. Rooftop pool was nice,however felt maybe not big enough for the size of the hotel when you factor in guests from other hotels use it as well. Skybeach on the 19th floor with infinity pool, superb value €100 for 2 persons with food/drink credit. Brilliant service. We also visited the bar on a few occasions which is next to the hotels reception. Calming and relaxing with good choice of drinks and friendly staff Would probably consider staying in a quieter part of Malta next time ,if a suitable hotel is available. Thank you to all the staff who made our first visit to Malta an unforgettable experience. Thank you
