The Waterfront is one of Malta's most popular 4-star hotels. Occupying a prime location on Sliema's seafront promenade it has excellent guest facilities and spectacular views across the harbour to Valletta. The local ferry connects over to Valletta regularly and is just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Close at hand are the shops and restaurants of Sliema and the lively centres of entertainment in Paceville (a short bus ride away).

Fantastic Service with a Relaxing Rooftop Atmosphere
We visited for the rooftop BBQ buffet night and had a pleasant overall experience. The atmosphere was definitely the highlight of the evening. The rooftop setting, combined with a talented live singer performing relaxing music, created a lovely, laid-back vibe that made it easy to unwind.
The buffet itself was decent—not amazing, but not disappointing either. There was a reasonable selection, although the food didn’t particularly stand out.
What truly made the evening memorable was the outstanding service from Siddik and Rikta. As the food and drinks were all-inclusive, they were incredibly attentive throughout the night. Every time my partner’s wine glass was nearly empty, they were there to top it up without us having to ask. They were always friendly, efficient, and made sure we never had to wait for anything.
The rest of the team were also brilliant—welcoming, hardworking, and always happy to help. Their friendly attitude really added to the overall experience.
While the food was average, the excellent service, relaxing atmosphere, and fantastic staff made for an enjoyable evening. A big thank you to Siddik, Rikta, and the whole team for looking after us so well.

Waterfront Central
The hotel is in an excellent central location, making it easy to reach all the main attractions and transport links. The rooms are clean, modern, and well equipped, and it’s clear that the hotel places a strong emphasis on sustainability, which was a welcome feature of our stay. Our only disappointment was the room allocation. We would have preferred a room on a higher floor with a balcony overlooking Sliema Marina, rather than one on a lower floor close to reception. The outdoor pool at Aqualuna next door was extremely busy every day, so we chose to explore other nearby swimming spots instead. In the end, we discovered several excellent places to swim and cool off, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay.
