Every care has been taken to make the Victoria Hotel spa as enticing and as luxurious as possible. Spread over two floors, its facilities include a freshwater indoor pool and an outdoor pool, as well as sun terraces, saunas, steam room and treatment rooms offering a wide range of holistic wellbeing treatments. You have no excuse not to feel utterly relaxed.
The same attention is given to guest's rooms at the Victoria Hotel. They are all fully air conditioned and come with extensive facilities to help you feel at home, including satellite TV and radio, direct dial phone, tea/coffee making facilities, minibar and Wi-Fi is available at a fee. Rooms are dressed in classic colonial style and all feature en suite bathrooms too. Why not look at upgrading to a balcony room or suite?. Junior and Deluxe Suites include a walk-in shower, all other rooms consist of a bathtub.
Even the restaurant menus are geared to your wellbeing, with a new healthy eating option available.
At the end of the day we do recommend a visit to the intimate Penny Black Bar, to luxuriate in the exquisite armchairs and while away the evening. Perfection!

The Victoria Hotel is a superior 4-star hotel, located in quiet peaceful surroundings, situated in the heart of Sliema and a few minutes walk from the popular and picturesque seafront promenade.
Sliema offers excellent shopping, open air cafeterias, restaurant and bars and is only fifteen minutes drive away from Valletta or accessible by ferry.

Not the best holiday.
I have just come back from the AX Victoria with mixed thoughts,the hotel itself is pleasant enough but needs a bit of a refurb in the rooms,we had a so called suite but it was basically a larger room,the shower had two doors that came together in a fashion and water went all over the floor mainly because the shower tray wasn’t deep enough,the so called wardrobes has a curtain on it and the furniture is all tired,the balcony was that small you would have to move some of it to sit down,the location is not great,going down is ok coming back is something else sometimes I felt like a mountain goat 🐐,the pool area is quite modern and loads of beds although the outlook isn’t great the view to Valletta is ok but the other sides I felt like a war correspondent in Beirut or Gaza,the so called happy hour was cocktails only and 2 for 12 euros and you had to have 2 the same,the staff are great we only did breakfast and that was fine,loads to choose from,skip the bacon though you couldn’t cut that or chew it 😂, personally I wouldn’t go back but I’m sure some do.

Nice stay thanks
Nice stay thanks. Room was decent enough, nice and clean. Staff at the hotel are lovely. Decent wifi and food. Having 3 pools is nice but the adults only one was freezing! Would happily stay again.

A great choice
This is an excellent hotel with great facilities. Easy walking distance to the Valletta ferry, although a bit of a hill on the way back. Rooftop pool and bar were a good place to get the sun. Plenty of sun beds available and very good service. Staff throughout the hotel were, without exception, a pleasure to interact with. They really made a difference. We visited the AX Palace next door a few times, but much preferred the Victoria to be honest.

Great place to stay
We have really enjoyed our stay at AX The Victoria. Great location. Excellent rooftop restaurant (Temptations - Roma was a fantastic server!) and cozy pub. Rooftop pool area is great to chill when you have walked forever and been to several sites. Room was excellent and staff were super. Mirhaz ( spelling may be incorrect- sorry) on the front desk was super helpful for dinner reservations and can help with anything. We felt appreciated and to top it off were sent a fab fruit basket and bottle of wine. Clean. Good value and we did feel like the staff appreciated that we chose to spend our time there. I would stay here again.

Just Awesome..
The AX Victoria ticks all boxes .. in no order ..
- Staff .. We had a problem on checking in .. no one’s fault.. Rose was brilliant and sorted all our issues. She’s super.
2 ) Rooms .. huge bed ..great sleep quality.. excellent bathroom with very nice products. 3 ) Rooftop pool and restaurant.. Cool place to relax.. A pool you can actually swim in ! Nice bar offering happy hour 241 from 3 till 5 pm. The Asian eatery is fine dining and will require reservations. 4) Penny Black .. It’s the pub on the ground floor.. Again terrific staff serving very reasonably priced drinks considering. Good pub grub served too . 5 ) Location .. A very short walk downhill to the water, ferries etc.. 6 ) Price .. A much better option than its sister Hotel in my opinion .. cheaper too. All in all , a great stay here .. Highly recommended.
