Once a suburb of Valletta, Sliema has developed into a bustling and fashionable resort with many hotels and restaurants, smart shops and places of entertainment.
The waterfront along Sliema Creek is known as The Strand and is a popular area with tourists. Tower Road, which bisects the Sliema promontory from The Strand to the open sea, offers excellent shopping and then leads on to St Julian's Point. The resort offers good swimming opportunities along the flat rocky coast on the open sea side of Sliema.
Great hotel, food and location. Free access to Aqualuna opposite which is usually €30 a day! Would definitely recommend!
I have stayed here before and loved it. Lovely room and balcony prevously . The location is great. The room this time was on floor 1. I felt there was a persistent smell in the corridor and in our room initially although this got better as we were there. I think it was a damp smell perhaps there had been a leak!! Also we had no window really, as it was by a brick wall courtyard, I think sunshine and ventilation was needed. Given the time of year I thought it was value for money. I took my elderly parents and brother. I would not stay here again though.
Very good experience. They have good pillows, you can sleep very well. They have breakfast and enter free to a beautiful pool. Very good at very good price. Recomand 100%
Great location looking across the harbour to Valletta. Just a lovely short ferry ride to Valletta. Shops and cafes and restaurants near. Clean and tide. Great breakfast. And most importantly lovely staff
Room very small for 3 people despite it being a superior room. Breakfast was of very low quality and the coffee from the machine was undrinkable. Aircon and shower in the room were good. Reception staff were very helpful but the cleaning lady was very forward in looking for a tip for basic cleaning of the room towards the end of our trip. Balcony was tiny as was the indoor pool! Shared pool across a very busy road was noisy and dirty, staff there were very aggressive about not allowing any water being brought in, and the prices were very expensive for food and drinks, Overall a very disappointing stay and would not recommend.
