The Local Area
Once a suburb of Valletta, Sliema has developed into a bustling and fashionable resort with many hotels and restaurants, smart shops and places of entertainment.
The waterfront along Sliema Creek is known as The Strand and is a popular area with tourists. Tower Road, which bisects the Sliema promontory from The Strand to the open sea, offers excellent shopping and then leads on to St Julian's Point. The resort offers good swimming opportunities along the flat rocky coast on the open sea side of Sliema.

Very pleasant experience
Location is very good with good access to the shops and restaurants. The staff were very efficient and helpful and the breakfast was also very good with a nice selection of hot and cold food.
Alright
Beds were very uncomfortable, pillows broke all our necks bathroom wasn’t great either flooded every time we had a shower. Positives tho the pool and the sun bed area was very nice big pool and lots of sun beds. Breakfast was really good too. Would potentially go again if we had comfier beds and a shower that didn’t flood and wasn’t a shower head at chest height.
Good Location and Nice Pool
The hotel was fairly average. The best things were the location and the pool across the road, which was really nice.
Friendly staff, but disappointing stay
We booked this hotel because my friend had a fantastic stay here back in April. However, something must have changed, as our stay was mediocre at best.
The staff was very friendly throughout our stay. We had requested a Twin Room and were a bit surprised to find a double bed instead. The receptionist immediately contacted housekeeping, who split the beds for us. We slept well, although it was not possible to turn off the light on the balcony. The rooms are quite noisy, but they were very clean.
One thing I really liked was the water dispenser, which is available on every floor.
Unfortunately, breakfast was very poor. It was served in the restaurant on the ground floor, where the queues were very long and the layout made it difficult to move around. The coffee from the machine was undrinkable — it was salty and tasted like chlorine. The scrambled eggs seemed to be made from powder, the hazelnut spread was very unpleasant, and the bread had a strange, dry consistency. We asked the staff for a cancellation/refund of the breakfast, but unfortunately, this was not possible.
On the positive side, we loved the Aqualuna Beach Club across the main street. Hotel guests are given free access, which was a great bonus.

Great value for the included facilities compared to other local hotels
Great location. We had a superior room and whilst nicely decorated and great bed, the balacony view was not great. I suggest booking a standard room with sea view instead.
Great that aqualuna access is included, but sunbeds are limited and it’s very crowded. Need to get there early to benefit.
