Sunny Coast Hotel

The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. The rooms, common areas, and pool were all in good condition, and the staff kept the inside of the hotel clean. Unfortunately, our stay was affected by several serious issues. There was a lot of noise coming from other rooms during the middle of the night, which made it difficult to sleep. Guests were also throwing rubbish, cans, and bottles from their balconies onto the street. The pavements around the hotel and the street outside were not cleaned regularly. We had rented a car and parked it on the street, but it was vandalized after bottles and cans were thrown at it. I am still waiting to receive the excess fee reimbursement from the car insurance. Although the hotel itself was clean and pleasant, the lack of control over guest behaviour and the poor cleanliness outside the premises made our experience disappointing

Hotel is at best 2 star. Luckily we were only staying 3 nights. Room cleaning is only every 3rd day, so we didnt get new towels etc. AC didnt work properly, and the rooms have a very strange smell. We also checked another room because of this, so the smell is throughout. Broken handle on the balcony door, alot of insects (ants) despite being on the 3.rd floor. The outdoor pool area is ok, but very dated and its easy to enter the sea.

Hotel looks ok on the approach but am afraid to say the room was a let down. It was dirty and shabby. Peeling mastic sealer in the refrigerator and we were supposed to keep food in there. The outlook was awful. Now I know this is apparently a ‘city hotel’ so expect there to buildings in the way but I’m talking about the view being of the back end of the staff quarters and it was disgraceful. I guess lick of paint and a tidy up might have gone some way to improve but it was obvious no one really cared. This is supposed to be 4 star but it could have given Faulty Towers a run for its money. We checked out the same day because there was no way the wife and I were sleeping in that bed.
