Qawra
Right at the heart of Qawra, right at the heart of the action, the Santana hotel has to be one of Malta's most desirable spots. With its light sea blue livery, the hotel signposts its location – just a minute from the seafront itself.
The Qawra seafront is a favourite spot for holidaymakers, with its many shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. Beyond the promenade is another of its main attractions, the rocky beach, a haven for swimmers and sun bathers – and a great place to explore. Qawra is also home to some of Malta's most prized cultural sites too – no visit is complete without a trip to the historical towers and the church of St Francis of Assisi.

Even with such a perfect location, the Santana Hotel is more than just a base for exploring and enjoying Malta. It is, after all, a four star hotel with four star facilities to match.
There's a Wellness club offering over 80 health & beauty therapy treatments (at a fee ) and adding to the spa feel is a sauna and the opportunity for a massage (at a fee), plus a superb wellness centre with over plenty of treatments available.
After all of that, you can pick and choose one of the bars or restaurant's to while away a few pleasant hours in the evening.
Guests of the Santana Hotel often like to round things off by staying to enjoy the hotel's own schedule of entertainment – it does make for a very sociable end to the day.
Finally to bed. All rooms feature an en suite bathroom, most have a bath/shower and some just have showers. Rooms also feature tip top amenities like satalite TV (with pay TV), radio and hairdryer. Another bonus – keeping the temperature just right is a cinch with the centrally controlled air conditioning. Rooms were fully renovated in 2019 including the bathrooms which all rooms except Studio's feature a walk-in shower. Please note. All rooms free Wi-Fi and free use of safe. Most rooms feature a balcony – so you can look out at the twinkling lights of Qawra. Please note 'Economy Rooms' do not feature a balcony but only a window.

Just a minute from the picturesque seafront at Qawra, the Santana is at the heart of one of Malta's prime tourist areas with excellent shops and entertainment. Guest facilities include an indoor freshwater pool with jacuzzi, a sauna and massage (at a fee) and fitness room. Meals are served in the main dining room.

Rude customer service
Went in there to buy drinks which costed 17 euro for 2 cokes which is too overpriced and then got kicked out which the hotel manager with a little moustache was being very rude and using vile language when being kicked out I would not recommend at all 😡😡😡
STAFF ARE AMAZING.
My husband and I have just got home after a week spent in the Santana. We’ve been coming here for about 9 years, sometimes twice a year. This is the first visit since their extensive renovations and the place looks beautiful and so modern now.
We had paid for an upgrade but were very disappointed with the room we were given as there were various issues. (Faulty air conditioning being the most significant). Couple of other minor issues too, such as no hairdryer, no cold water, no USB sockets (which they DID have before the renovation).
A quick word with reception staff and we were relocated to another room immediately which was amazing.
We’d like to give a huge mention and a massive thank you to the lovely Doriette on reception. This amazing lady has looked after us at the Santana for many years and she is wonderful. She is so professional and friendly and always has time to have a friendly chat and is super helpful. Sadly she is retiring in a week’s time. My husband and I left a card for her on our departure wishing her well. The Santana will now be a sadder place without her on reception. We sincerely hope the Santana management recognise this lady’s hard work and commitment and wish her well for her retirement (maybe even a nice gift😊). We’d also like to give thanks to the other lovely lady on reception called Edyta. She’s so lovely and helpful too. Nothing is too much trouble.

It was a wonderful experience in Hotel Santana. Location was perfect to explore the places. Food and drinks were amazing. The staffs were very helpful and friendly. Specially, big thanks to Shrissy, she was an amazing person. She was very helpful, friendly, humble and always smiling. Our staying was worth at Santana, will definitely come in future👌

Can't fault our stay
Stayed here prior to refurbishment so I was impressed with the improvements made. Lovely reception and cafe area downstairs and our twin room on the 1st floor overlooked the street and had sun in the morning, grateful for that as excessive temperatures all day would have been torture! Personally don't mind overlooking street and no issues with noise or rowdiness or traffic whilst there. Room was usual standard and spotless. Thanks to Doris from housekeeping. Did have issue with the safe not opening but Doriette from reception promptly sent maintenance and resolved quickly. Breakfast was standard fare and compliments to all staff in the restaurant as they were quick to replenish foodstuff and clear tables with smiles. Bonus points to Valentina as she was so lovely and welcoming. Didn't use spa or indoor pool on this visit but rooftop pools were well set out, plenty space, plenty sunbeds and there is a snack/bar area although the staff did come round and take drinks/food orders. Thanks to bar staff in cafe area as again very pleasant and courteous. Enjoyed our stay here, have no hesitation in recommending it and will certainly return.
