Biplab looked after us very well .We had a great stay .room was cleaned and replenished greatly. Will come back again and again
This hotel was the worse hotel I have ever stayed in the location was terrible nothing to do it was full of rowdy teenagers the rooms were very small air conditioning was rubbish and considering the weather was really hot this was not good no wardrobes no mirrors except in the bathroom but it was too hot to go in there the balcony was overlooking a street and carpark the bed was the most uncomfortable bed with the spring digging into my back and the pillows where of very bad quality the pool area was dirty and full of bird poo which was there every day so obviously not being cleaned sunbeds were reserved from early despite signs saying it was not allowed The buffet was a free for all and packed making it very difficult to get a seat and the food was terrible and repetitive we booked two of the restaurants thinking these would be better but they were buffet style also and not much choice The lifts where a joke I could go on forever here very disappointed with our holiday which we were looking forward to all year would not reccomend this hotel to anyone and don’t let the pictures of it fool you all what not it seems
Ok let's go for an honest review! If you are expecting a 4☆ experience then you be sorely disappointed, this hotel is a good 3☆ and there are signs that they are trying to improve things. Lets start with the positives, the staff are friendly and work hard, the housekeeping is very good but they are dealing with dated rooms and bathrooms in the main, everywhere just feels tired even down to the pool towels being rather thread bear! The buffet restaurant is clean and the food is good though repetitive, but it gets very busy and so loud! Very poor selection of bread unless you like beefburger and hotdogs rolls! The breakfast is good and hot. We were all inclusive so could eat in the 3 specialist restaurants but they were nothing special still a buffet, only thing the space was much quieter. Now the not so goods, the lifts are a nightmare! This is a large hotel spread over many floors and getting a lift takes ages! The main pool area whilst washed down every night, needs a seriously good clean! The tile grouting is stained and off putting! The main pool bar only appears to be open later than 6pm 2 nights a week which is very strange. Service at main pool bar is efficient but it's not very clear what is and what is not included and shockingly if you want a snack from that bar you have to pay for it even if on all inclusive, tried to bring a snack out of the main restaurant and that was a no no! It is obvious money has been spent on the roof top bar and if the music wasn't so loud it would be a real spot to relax, but unless your under 25 years old and wearing a bikini that barely covers your bits, don't expect to get served quickly! There are 2 bars at the front of the hotel which you can access through reception but these are not part of the all inclusive package, we found a lovely roof top bar called Cheeky Monkeys just down the road, part of the Odysy hotel but open to the public. Qwara is set on a busy main road and very little to do in the area, so if the management got their act together this could be a really good resort hotel but there is a lot of work to be done to get it anywhere near that stage! The hotel is a mish mash of identities, trying to be something it's not! The entertainment team put on some well put together shows but why inside! The Astral Hall is nice but it reminded me of an atrium on a cruise ship, but with no windows and no atmosphere! All it needed was a game of bingo and a quiz and you could of been in Butlins in the old days!!! To end on a positive travelling around Malta is really easy, they have an excellent bus service which stops directly outside the hotel. Mdina, Gozo and Comino are definitely worth a visit
If you want Butlins you got it, don’t bother with all inclusive as you end up paying for anything decent, the garden view is non existent and you are surrounded by views of hundreds of other balconies with towels hanging, the balcony is a joke one person could sit comfortably but if you don’t like heights the Perspex fronts are a joke, cleaners turn up at all different times from 8:45 am to 4:30 pm so don’t expect a lie in, no snack bar or afternoon cakes you have to eat in the main zoo if you can find a seat in the crammed area, very dissatisfied for the cost
We had a brilliant family holiday at Qawra Palace Resort & Spa. The management and staff provided fantastic service throughout our stay, everyone was welcoming, helpful, and attentive. Our room was great and wonderfully spacious, giving us plenty of comfortable space to unpack and relax. The kids were kept thoroughly entertained the entire time, with fantastic activities and evening entertainment that made the trip extra special for them. We all had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this resort to any families visiting Malta!
