The Qawra Palace Resort and Spa is well-positioned on the Qawra seafront with views of the bay, providing a comfortable and convenient setting and offers panoramic views of Salina Bay and the ancient salt pans from which it gets its name. A friendly hotel which has been popular with our guests for many years is ideal for a relaxing holiday. Situated on the attractive promenade, shops, bars and restaurants can be found in the immediate area and it is also within easy reach of Bugibba with its further selection of entertainment.
We’ve just returned from amazing 10day stay All inclusive..Our room was very clean modern & spacious. The staff so friendly helpful & polite. There is such a wide selection of food it will suit all tastes & is very tasty. The Hotel also has 3 other restaurants you can visit. The Barrel bar is not part of your Al/C However from 5-7 it’s happy hour with fantastic cocktails,we really enjoyed. The Café Royale also isn’t included in Al/C however it’s worth a visit cappuccinos amazing.
I wanted to tell you the story of our recent stay at this hotel.
My husband and I had booked a holiday through Jet2 and on arriving late in the evening on 9th June were bitterly disappointed with the hotel that was provided as part of the holiday.
Having stayed at this gorgeous hotel before the following morning i went to your reception and asked for help in securing a room. the service i received was second to none and not only were we found a room but we were treated so well. The two fantastic staff members were Aranza and Sepanous.
During our stay whenever I passed reception they would check we had settled in ok and were enjoying our stay.
I will not make the mistake of staying anywhere else in future and are looking forward to booking with your hotel for next May.
We spent a week at this hotel, and unfortunately it wasn't the experience we expected. The rooms are quite dated and definitely need refurbishment. Our first room had a view of the fire escape area, and the shower diverter didn't work at all. We called reception and were told everything would be sorted out before 11 a.m. the next day. Nothing happened. The room was only changed after we went to reception in person, asked to speak to the manager and mentioned that we would contact our tour operator. Only then were we offered another room. It overlooked the inner courtyard, but because of the building layout there was almost no fresh air. Clothes barely dried and the room always felt damp. Another strange thing was the beds. Both rooms had two single beds pushed together instead of one proper double bed, and they kept sliding apart during the night. Housekeeping was inconsistent. During our 7-night stay the floor was properly cleaned only once. Towels were another daily lottery. Sometimes even clean towels were taken away although they weren't left on the floor. Calling reception didn't help. The only reliable way to get fresh towels was to find the housekeeping staff yourself and ask them directly. Food was probably the biggest disappointment. The salad bar looked exactly the same every single day. Fruit selection was very limited: bananas every couple of days, apples, oranges, and watermelon and melon only at breakfast. There was always something to eat, but it certainly didn't feel like an All Inclusive experience. Sunbeds were almost impossible to get unless you woke up very early, so we ended up spending most of our holiday on the public beach instead. One thing that also surprised me was the overall maintenance. I attached photos of a manual fire alarm call point that had been hanging off the wall for more than 24 hours without anyone fixing it. It's not something you expect to see in a hotel of this category. Malta itself is fantastic and we really enjoyed exploring the island. The hotel, however, was probably the weakest part of the whole trip. I wouldn't choose it again.
Beautiful hotel in a quiet part of town but with everything you need in the hotel there is no need to go further afield unless you want to. The food is quite good and the service in the bar even the all inclusive is excellent. The staff in the hotel are all friendly and very helpful. Out of all the restaurants in the hotel I would most recommend the Lume. Food was amazing and service was brilliant. The rooftop bar and pool is a great amenity especially if travelling without kids as it’s an adult only area and no issue getting sunbeds as there is plenty of them there. Would definitely stay again.
This is a family run hotel which i can highly recommend. We've been going to the Qawra Palace for the last 26 years and seen the hotel grow from 8 floors to 11. There is now a pool on the roof as well as ground level which makes it ideal for people of all ages. The food is excellent with 3 different restaurants as well as the daily one. The entertainment is well organised and caters of all different ages. All the staff are really helpful from Robert who organises the reservations to the waiting staff in the bars. A big thank you to the general manager Johnny and John who is one of the many excellent bar staff. The hotel is situated ideally on the sea front and there is a bar where you can get whisky, cocktails and food and alcohol if you prefer something other than all inclusive. There is also a gym, indoor swimming pool and a children's play area. If you want a good holiday then go to the Qwara Palace. They are fully committed to cleanliness and are very helpful.
