Sun seekers rejoice – here's a holiday hotspot that's refreshingly laidback. Qawra, up at the North Eastern tip of the archipelago is the place to be for its attractive pebbly beaches, its array of water sports activities and, of course, its sunshine.
Within this popular hotspot lies the Canifor Hotel, bringing you a range of facilities right in the heart of Qawra! Famed for its friendly and attentive service, it's one of those 'you won't have to lift a finger' hotels – the staff will do whatever they can to ensure you have a really relaxing holiday.
The Canifor Hotel is ideally situated for whatever kind of holiday you want. There are flat, pebbly beaches at St. Pauls and Salina Bays – both wonderful places to take a dip and catch some rays.
The Canifor Hotel is just the sort of base you need. The en suite rooms are all fully air-conditioned and come with direct dial phone, kettle and cups (tea & coffee at an extra charge), radio and mini cooler. Each has its own balcony too. Rooms are complete with a bathtub, no walk-in shower rooms are available.
There are certainly lots of incentives to spend time in the hotel, whether it's for a dip in the indoor or outdoor pools (or Jacuzzi for a bit of a treat), or a quick tan top up on the terrace. To really get you relaxing, you can even have a massage (there is a charge for this service) – just one more way that the Canifor Hotel really looks after you.
Qawra gives you all the ingredients for a perfect Maltese holiday – and one of the most important is the Canifor Hotel itself. As soon as you're booked in, you'll begin to relax and enjoy the perfect laidback lifestyle.

The Canifor is a pleasant 4-star hotel offering good service and comfort. It is situated just a few minutes from the attractive Qawra promenade and between St. Paul's Bay and Salina Bay.
In both bays, there is ample opportunity for bathing off the flat rocks of the shoreline which are also popular for sunbathing. Guest facilities include an attractive reception foyer, a restaurant and bar lounge, both overlooking the swimming pool. There is also an indoor heated pool as well as a coffee shop.

It was a lovely hotel you are within walking distance to the bus station, car museum and sea front. I went with 2 siblings we went with all inclusive and we had a lot of fun. We had a couple of miner issues like the outdoor pool being very and the sauna plus jacuzzi needed repairing. Other than we had a really good stay and the staff was amazing they remembered us after a couple of days. It was fairly quiet. It was very cleaned. My room was okay decent size and couple of bits of wear and tear. I would definitely will return here.
Standards down from last year, rooms on 2nd floor very noisy, facing to bars and road . my niece run out of toilet roll so went to reception and was told they could not give it out and she would have to wait for maintenance to deliver it to her room. She was also locked out the room 6 times in 3 days and was told that due to students the hotel is wreaked. Breakfast was ok but dinner same every night with no kids menu making them have to eat out 4 out of 7 days. The bath in the room was only big enough for a child and rooms were not cleaned daily. My friend had her room cleaned and no towels left and it took 4 different visits from maintenance to deliver 4 fresh towels. So we can defiantly say we will not be back. The hotel needs to close and have a full refit as cockroach in the down stairs bathroom etc. the younger staff on reception were lovely but the older dark hair lady was a nightmare, grumpy and crabbit every day she was working so maybe she needs to looks at another profession as she is not cut out for front facing customer service role
Just returned back from this hotel, having stayed for 4 nights bed and breakfast. We thought the breakfast was fine, always found something to eat, our room was clean and all the staff on site were friendly. You can use the hotel next door which was convenient with reasonably priced drinks. Hotel location was excellent, and it's a budget friendly hotel, you pay for what you get to be honest, and we would return again for a bargain few days away.
Booked this hotel after our first booking had to be cancelled due to a lung injury, originally pencilled in for 1st September. Was not expecting much from this hotel after reading the negative reviews but booked half board anyway and my wife and I decided that if the food was rubbish then it was our only intention of doing B&B in the first place. Well, we are back now and it has left us pleasantly surprised and I can't understand why the hotel has been bombarded with negative reviews. Firstly the location is great for getting about, very close to the bus station, this hotel shares good facilities with the Corasun such as swimming pools and rooftop sun decks, and lastly the food is glorious, full english breakfast with fried bread and proper sausages, evening meals have something different every night, whats not to like about that ?
Its tries to be a four star but I'd only rate it a 3 star found the staff friendly but that's about it's only good thing the food was below average the soups they had were all made from powder they also had mash one night and that was made from powder as well
