I don’t even know where to start. We arrived at 1pm to our hotel, very aware that we couldn’t check in until 3pm we asked if we could pay 35 euros to go early (from 1pm) to which they took our payment and told us to give them a min to get the room ready. 2:15 they came back to us so seemed a little steep. The food is unbearable, breakfast doesn’t change at all and two days in a row I had to tell the chefs that the bread they had put out was mouldy. Now on to the staff, they seemed to love to have an argument with you over anything and everything, asking them what was included on the all inclusive, and trying to mix the things together that we’re all free seem to cause so much of a problem that it took the manager 3 times to tell the staff that it was ok, it seemed like it was coming out of their own pockets. The snacks were never available either and if they were the pizza and sandwiches were rock solid. The rooms were clean however the cleaner kept entering our room and saying he was looking for something which was a little concerning. And the cleaners of the hotel seem to constantly be in the woman’s toilets which I also found strange. The pool is so salty it actually burns your skin if your in it to long. The entertainment was awful, and they know it is cause no one goes and sits in and watches it. Now on to the only good thing of the holiday and that was Fer, she was welcoming and entertaining and a credit to the hotel. Other than that I would avoid this.
I would like to formally raise a complaint regarding several aspects of my stay at this hotel. Firstly, the buffet offered throughout our stay was extremely disappointing, both in terms of variety and quality. The selection of food was very limited, and the overall standard of the meals was far below what would reasonably be expected. More concerningly, food that appeared to be spoiled or sour was served, and the same issue occurred on two consecutive days. This raises serious concerns regarding food quality control and hygiene standards. Secondly, there is no potable drinking water available in the hotel rooms or bathrooms. Guests are therefore dependent on refilling water bottles elsewhere in the hotel. However, the only available water refill point is located inside the dining area. To make matters worse, a member of staff informed us that guests are not permitted to refill their water bottles in that area. This creates an unreasonable and frustrating situation where access to drinking water is unnecessarily restricted. These issues have had a significant negative impact on our experience and fall well below the standards we expected when booking this hotel. I would appreciate a formal response addressing these concerns and explaining what measures will be taken to prevent similar issues for future guests.
Dear Management, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with our stay at Paradise Bay Resort. First of all, I would like to highlight the poor quality of the food served at both breakfast and dinner. Considering the price paid for our stay and the fact that the hotel is advertised as a 4-star resort, the quality and variety of the food offered were far below what could reasonably be expected. The situation became even more concerning when, on one occasion during our stay, all three guests sharing the same room suffered from vomiting and diarrhoea after dining at the hotel. This caused significant discomfort and raised serious concerns regarding the food served. I would also like to express my disappointment that the room minibar did not contain even a single bottle of drinking water. This is particularly unacceptable given that there is a notice on the room tap stating that the water is not potable. Furthermore, when we requested permission to fill our bottles with the filtered water available in the restaurant, we were informed that this was not allowed, leaving us without a reasonable alternative for obtaining drinking water. Another issue was the extremely limited opening hours of the swimming pool, which closed at 6:00 p.m. For a holiday resort, this restriction is unreasonable and does not meet the expectations associated with a 4-star property. In addition, on several evenings during dinner, a member of staff approached our table and instructed us to leave because the restaurant was closing. In some instances, this occurred only a few minutes after the official closing time. We also noticed that other tables, including some that had arrived after us, were not approached or asked to leave. We found this treatment inconsistent, unfair, and uncomfortable. For all of these reasons, and considering the amount paid for our stay as well as the standards expected from a 4-star resort, we are extremely disappointed with the level of service provided. The overall experience fell significantly below our expectations and below the standards that should be associated with a property of this category. We kindly request that this complaint be formally recorded and reviewed by the hotel management. We also ask that appropriate action be taken to address these issues and prevent similar experiences for future guests. We look forward to receiving your response. Yours sincerely, Miguel de Ribeiro Cabeça
The location of the hotel itself is nice as easy to get out and about and visit other places in Malta, Gozo and Comino Islands. The restaurant bay view was nice too however resultant has no windows to open for fresh air and there is no outside seating area at all rather than the smoking area by the bar. We were disappointed overall. We booked a quadruple see view family room but were given a standard double room direct on the main road with very noisy road before the sea, which ruined the whole see view experience, their advertising does not show the road! Room very small with 4 single beds wall to wall no one can get out at night. Despite all complaints directly and through the agent they did not resolve the matter and were every unhelpful, in fact offered worse downgrade rooms smaller and with wall views. When we found out the fullbaord was very limited on drinks we requested to pay and upgrade to all inclusive, but they refused stating they only offer this option to certain visitors at thier own discretion. Animation team totally useless, never seen do anything with anyone, other some french only customers outside the hotel. Entertainmen again almost none existent, all you hear is boring old classic music some evenings which no one seems to enjoy, zero vibes, we did not look forward to the evenings. Kids only enjoyed the swim, thats all we did at the hotel. For tennis you have to pay €10 an hour also the few things in the games room such as the pool table are all chargeable and dead quite and boring. Buffet food was average, repetitive like most restaurants however the Sunday buffet was nice, we were suprised. Also note that you see absolutely no Maltese people working at the hotel all foreigners running it.
Nice hotel, spoiled with the amount of students present, who were noisy both at breakfast and at evening meals, we complained to the staff as some of the students were vaping whilst sitting down at the tables, totally unacceptable, their teachers turned a blind eye to some students helping themselves to beer and wine. Overall our stay was pleasant with polite staff, we had a nice clean spacious room overlooking the sea and ferry terminal, which we liked seeing the ferries coming and going.
