db Seabank Resort and Spa

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the db Seabank Hotel + Spa in Malta for our fifth time and would highly recommend it to families looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed. A special mention must go to Jonathan, the restaurant manager, and Alex who greeted us at the door to Coral each day, both went above and beyond to make us feel valued throughout our stay. They were always friendly, welcoming and great fun, especially with our two children. Jonathan and Alex’s warm personalities and genuine care really added to our experience and made every meal something to look forward to. The animation team were outstanding, particularly Patrick, Sebastian and Gonzales. They worked tirelessly every day to keep the children entertained with a fantastic range of games and activities. Their energy, enthusiasm and ability to make the kids smile were brilliant, and they played a huge part in making our holiday memorable for the whole family. These guys must interact with hundreds of kids each week over the range of activities they run, but always remember each child’s name which shows they really care about what they do. The evening entertainment was also excellent, with a great variety of shows that kept everyone entertained. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was always lively and enjoyable. They also showed the World Cup games throughout the stay which was also great. We would also like to give special recognition to Bibash at the bar. Despite seeing hundreds of guests every day, and thousands throughout the week, he always remembered our drinks order and often knew what we wanted before we even had to ask. His friendly service and attention to detail were exceptional and really stood out. Overall, the db Seabank Hotel + Spa provided us with a wonderful family holiday filled with great service, fantastic entertainment and lovely memories. A huge thank you to Jonathan, Bibash, Patrick, Sebastian, Gonzales and the entire team for making our stay so special. We can’t wait to return!

We visited this hotel last month with our disabled son in his wheelchair having taken him there previously. We contacted Doreen in the reservations team prior to arrival to request a suitable room and were not disappointed her service was brilliant. We were greeted on arrival like friends and were soon in holiday mode. There are however a couple of suggestions for improvement. As other guests have mentioned the hotel is in need of a little refurbishment but this did not bother us. I mentioned in both a previous review and visits that the hotel has a beautifully accessible pool with a slope which is fine for walking in but is lacking in accessibility for wheelchair users. Something which I feel really needs to be addressed as my son could only access the pool safely with the assistance of other guests so a big thank you to all who assisted. The token system for drinks I found tedious and spent too much time queuing to get them back. To me it just feels like a way to cut down on staff around the pool. Which then brings me on to day trippers, with fewer staff around the pool they do what they like. On a couple of days it felt like we were eating in a school canteen and I felt sorry for the staff having to clear up after them. However these are only minor niggles, for us the staff make the place, from Godfrey the chef to all the waiters and bar staff too many to mention by name. We will definitely be back.
