A lovely stay in Mellieha
Luna is a nice, family-friendly hotel within a 10-minute walk of the beach. It is located in a quiet residential area, although this also means that your options for going out for dinner nearby are more limited. We were given a first-floor studio, with a balcony facing the main road, so privacy was limited. We had to either close the curtains completely or feel exposed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we did try to change rooms, but the hotel was fully booked. Regarding cleaning, the hotel’s policy is to provide a deep clean every four days and change the towels every two days. Cleaning was okay, but the towels were not. We understand that the hotel has an eco-friendly policy, and they provide information on how they turn used linen and towels into other products. However, some of the towels were in really bad shape, basically at rag level, and although the staff were happy to exchange them, they continued to provide similarly worn-out towels at subsequent changes. The gym was well equipped, although some machines were old and not fully functional (for instance, the exercise bike and treadmill did not have working screens). The terrace pool was lovely, and we had a really nice time there! All in all, we thought it was good value for money, although the towel situation should be addressed.
Lovely complex with all amenities needed for a relaxing holiday
We spent four days at Luna Complex, prior to going to our usual hotel. I was very impressed with the room, and location. We chose breakfast and buffet dinner on all four nights and found it to be excellent value. I especially liked the fresh vegetables every evening and the different choices of main meal, fish and different meat options were delicious. The room had been newly renovated as had the lounge and reception area. Everything was clean and tidy, with little noise. The staff all very pleasant and extremely helpful. The on site supermarket held most things needed for a self catering holiday. We enjoyed the whole experience so much, we have booked a month for next year. We especially liked the roof top pool area, which has plenty of sun beds. There are places to eat within a short walk, but buses go from outside to Mellhia village and further places. I would highly recommend.

A nice holiday complex with many amenities for a comfortable stay.
Luna Holiday Complex in Mellieha, Malta, is a lovely facility with many amenities such as pools, bars, and a restaurant. It is in a good location that is close to the beach and bus stops. The reception area has nice lounges for people to relax. Sky Bar lounge has nice views. The rooms are spacious and our room had a kitchen. Staff are friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic stay in a fantastic place
Myself and my wife are Just after leaving Luna after an 8night stay ,from start to finish we were impressed ,staff have to get a special mention for their professionalism and friendliness . The location first going off is perfect within a 10min walk of the beach with an abundance of restaurants within walking distance .Its about another 15min of a walk into Mellieha town itself.Its uphill into town but we used the bolt app alot in Malta usually costing about €7 to get in and we’d walk down the hill home . The sea(no beach but crystal clear water ) is literally about 5mins of walk to the rear of the property The complex is clean in all areas ,rooms were cleaned every two days, fresh towels ,bed sheets and kitchen dish cloths replaced . We only had breakfast the first day in luna but it was Perfect with a great selection of hot and cold choices ,we had lunch before we left on the last day and it was ok . We went for the self catering option with a small kitchenette in the corner of the room ,it had a fridge ,sink ,hop and small oven/grill .All kitchen utensils will also supplied . There was a mini market right beside the complex it was clean but would have all your needs at very reasonable prices . The complex has two pools one on the roof (adults only) but a great sun trap and one on the ground floor ,both areas were kept clean and tidy . All in all I’d highly recommend ,only gripe I had with it was that the room we had for our budget was a little compact but I’ve no doubt there could more spacious rooms available .it still was a lovely stay and we will have no hesitance to return again Tip : xl trattoria restaurant first restaurant you meet after you turn right out of the complex is a great spot to eat highly recommend and I’ll be doing a review for it next !

Terrible better sleeping on beach
Really terrible hotel pool was freezing not a family hotel everyone there was so miserable the lady on desk first night was so bad we nearly flew home next day jet2 done a great job but hotel and front desk really really bad I wouldn’t step foot in this hotel for free so if you have kids this is not a hotel to go too thank me later
