The Riviera Spa Resort is situated in one of the best-preserved and picturesque areas in the north of Malta, in a tranquil seafront location, facing the islands of Comino and Gozo across a channel of blue shimmering water - simply idyllic!
The Carisma Spa offers a soothing escape from every day’s life, with relaxing beauty and wellness treatments inspired by thalasso therapy. In this indulgent atmosphere, complete with luxurious spa facilities such as sauna, steam room*, thalasso pool, cold room and indoor pool, guests can relax, rejuvenate and revive body and mind. The sauna, indoor pool and fitness centre comes complimentry for all guests.
En-suite rooms are bright and airy and all have a private balcony or terrace with country views. Facilities include seasonal air conditioning / heating, bathroom with shower (bath available on request and subject to availability), free Wi-Fi, coffee / tea maker, hairdryer, safe deposit box, TV with international channels. The Riviera Spa Resort is ideal for exploring the islands with the Gozo ferry being only two bus stops away. Boats to Comino are available from the quay in the front of the Hotel (summer months only). Malta's largest blue flag sandy beach and the town of Mellieha are also just a few bus stops away. A regular public bus service connects the hotel to other towns including the capital Valletta a World Heritage City, the fortified Medieval city of Mdina, the Three Cities and Grand Harbour area, the shopping and entertainment meccas of Sliema and St Julian's.

Another lovely stay
We had another lovely relaxing long weekend holiday break on a room overlooking the lido. The hotel’s location is Ideal for a short break over a weekend or a longer stay with a visit to Gozo and comino. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful and provide excellent service. The choice of restaurants means you never get bored eating the same food, but most of all, being adults only makes it ideal for some peace and quiet whatever the time or occasion 👏👍🙏🏻

Excellent stay love Malta
As always a lovely stay staff so helpful and cheerful, I asked for more coat hangers immediately available. Food good as a celiac it's not easy I had attentive help from chef ever night explaining what I could eat, and GF desert always ready for me. Micheal front of house so helpful, hire car sorted. Brilliant stay
Just spent an amazing 10 days with friends in this hotel for the second time. Couldn't praise them more. Staff helpful and obliging and very friendly. Mickel couldn't have been more helpful. Brilliant place. Great country.
Well deserved 4*s.
This was our second time at this hotel and again it exceeded our expectations on all fronts. We had a lovely suite with a sizable living area, large bedroom and well sized shower room. Room was spotless and serviced daily. It was fully equipped including walking pad, coffee machine and tea and coffee service. It had beautiful views of the bay as well as country views which we could enjoy from all rooms and from a private terrace. The hotel has its very own brand of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner which leave the hair and skin feeling soft and nourished. On arrival we were welcomed with a refreshing drink and helpful front desk staff. The staff at the coffee bar were friendly and service levels were above standard. The breakfast buffet was extensive, offering anything from fresh salads to a variety of hot foods, waffles and cakes. For lunch and dinner we could choose from Lebanese, Maltese or Italian cuisine offered through the hotel’s own restaurants. The buffet had themed nights which also made it an interesting option and the dishes were varied offering a choice of fish, chicken snd meat every night. The Riviera Spa Resort is located a few steps away from the ticket booths and quay of the Comino ferries and is within walking distance of the Gozo Ferry Terminal. A shout out to all the front office, housekeeping and food and beverage staff for again making our stay a very pleasant one.

Riviera Spa Resort Mafa Bay 18th september 2026
Just returned from 10 nights at the Riviera Spa Resort and must congratulate them outstanding costumer service it was excellent from the moment we arrived. It would be wrong for us to single any one member of staff as all of them went above a beyond and nothing was to much trouble. The food was great lots of choice in the buffet Restaurant and we made use of two of the three themed restaurants the Maltese and the Italian and food was amazing. We used the Yacht Club bar or the Lobby bar most evening and what was a bit disappointing that there was no Draft beer through out our stay. The room always cleaned meticulously, we was in room 569 a pool view room which we requested but the only issue was the balcony was a bit to small to sit out and have coffee, but that said, it did not affect our stay due to the way we were looked after by all staff and the management should be proud of them all. Once again thank you for your excellent service that we received throughout the Hotel during our stay. Robert and Julie
