Just finished a 7 night in this hotel and would highly recommend. It’s basic but spotless clean and food is decent. V nice staff and big pool area

Very disappointing
This was overall a bad experience. Firstly I had booked a room specifically with a pool view. I checked in and found my room looked out on an abandoned building. No pool. I went back to reception to explain and showed them my booking where I had paid extra for a pool view. They told me to return in the morning and speak to the manager as they would be in. The next day I was told the exact same thing with no manager appearing to be present. I never had the correct room and they refused to change it. They also referred to my booking by a completely different name (I am not sure they even knew which booking mine was). The lift to the rooms are tiny and can only fit a maximum of 4 people leaving crowds in the reception. They are also extremely slow! The room was dirty with something splashed up the wall. The room contained 4 single beds despite me staying as a couple. Bare essentials and in drastic need of updating! One night there was teenagers running up and down the corridor kicking the doors loudly and upsetting guests. Staff didn’t seem to care or have any pride in their hotel or the customer service. I definitely will not be staying there again!

Retirement trip
We went away to celebrate my retirement and chose this hotel as it was very reasonably priced. We had read bad reviews but in our opinion we thoroughly enjoyed our stay,the rooms were comfortable and very clean, the restaurant had plenty of different dishes to choose from and a carvery station, it was great that drinks were included with your meals. On our final lunch the chef made me a delicious gluten free chicken and cheese toastie, I really appreciated this. The pool area had loads of sun beds and parasols there was never any problem finding one All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall we had a lovely time in a really nice hotel
