Each room is different in shape and size. Some have a bath, others have a sitting area, some have views and others have hot tub hot tub but what they all have in common is that they are all finished to the same highest standards.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Most of the rooms are inner rooms with no view/window (just into service shaft), cant agree with the 4,9 of 5 average rating. Its ok but rather less than a 4. Breakfast is good. Also convenient on top of a supermarket. Thats all
So just wanted to update after posting my review and wanted to say that I have to give credit where credit is due. The hotel have been fantastic in sorting our little niggles and everything is great so much so we talking about coming back next year. As I said before I couldn’t fault the staff we met and the hotel and breakfast was 10/10 and they have done everything possible to make sure everything is running smooth now and we can enjoy our holiday. Thank you to the Duke Hotel.
Well this is a tough one because on the one hand in places I would rate it 10 out of 10. The staff have been fantastic and breakfast this morning was great. No complaints here. So onto the room and this is where it goes down hill unfortunately. Last night after a late flight we got to the room and went straight to bed unfortunately the air conditioning stop working and no sleep was had which wasn’t great considering the late flight we had. These things happen so apart from being tired not to annoyed. Spoke to someone on reception who was great and fixed it great I thought but returning to the room it stopped working again and it’s hotter inside than outside!!! Next problem was outside had a great terrace can’t complain or so I thought. Settled down with my book release the canopy fantastic trouble is every 25 minutes it winds it’s back into the shut position which is frustrating as it doesn’t lend itself to the most relaxing morning when I have to keep getting up to sort the canopy out or just burn!!!! As you can tell it’s getting to me a little bit and I have 6 more nights but I may check out early as Room 515,isn’t doing it for me. If you have seen my travel videos you would know I have stayed in all kinds of strange and wonderful places and I usually go with the flow but having worked an extremely busy summer holidays the 2 weeks is the only time I get to relax but not in Room 515
We just love the atmosphere at the Duke Hotel. I found it very quiet, which is nice. We had a lovely room, spacious, super clean and comfortable. The staff is correct, helpful & clear in answering all questions. We can only recommend it to everyone. The prices match the value you get. Enjoy xx
Recently returned from a four week stay at The Duke. This was our fourth stay and once again, an exceptional experience in every aspect . This time we were fortunate enough to have the Presidential Suite for the duration of our stay. It doesn’t get much better! … an amazing space, extremely spacious and beautifully appointed, overlooking Repubblika street and Villa Rundle Gardens. Thanks to Jason, Sharon and their amazingly team for making our holiday special, already counting down the days to our next stay ❤️
