Gozo is much smaller than the Maltese mainland and has retained a charming sense of timelessness all its own. The Grand Hotel is located right in the harbour, a perfect place for an evening stroll to take in the sights, colours and sounds of seaside life as the sun goes down.
The Grand Hotel really does live up to its name. From the outside, the façade is impressive and the pool affords a lovely view across the water as you swim. Inside, the hotel is of a high standard with well furnished rooms and tasteful décor. All rooms are en suite, some rooms feature a walk-in shower, but most offer a bathtub. All rooms have air conditioning and heating to ensure your comfort, whatever time of year you choose to visit. Rooms are also equipped with satellite TV, mini bar, tea/coffee making facilities, Wi-Fi, direct dial telephone and hairdryer. If you really want to make the most of this wonderful location, seaview and superior rooms are available at a supplement – just ask when you book.
The views are also fantastic from the restaurant and bar which you'll find on the rooftop of the hotel. A fab week!
We have just returned from a super week at the Grand Hotel Gozo. Credit to the management who have put together the most amazing team who all care deeply about giving guests the very best experience. We stayed half board, food was delicious. Our room was large and kept spotlessly clean. Our balcony was on the same level as the swimming pool and the views from the infinity pool spectacular. We found everyone we met warm and welcoming. Would definitely return!
Beautiful hotel
We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand hotel. We had the most amazing sea view from our balcony, That also overlooks the Mgarr harbour and the iconic Lourdes Church. Staff are very welcoming and attentive. The breakfast is good . Outdoor infinity pool had the same views as our balcony ( amazing) Our room was very spacious with a big comfortable bed . There’s around 8-10 different restaurants all within 1-10mins walk from the hotel, The Mgarr ferry terminal or harbour takes no more than 10mins on foot . Although we had a hire car we did notice there was plenty of busses that pass the hotel that take you around the Gozo island . There is car parking at the hotel with plenty of spaces in two underground levels . Some may find entry and exiting the car park challenging. ( tight steep corner ) Reasonably comfortable drivers would be ok tho . We would recommend this beautiful hotel & would happily stay again .
Such a good experience !
I really enjoyed my stay in Grand Hotel Gozo. Got an upgrade to a room with view on sea and pool but I mostly appreciated the kindness and constant helpful of the personnel.
The food was specially good with a tremendous choice of local wines at a very correct price. And again personnel very attentive and professional.
Only minus point : you should not bring the food while the guest is still enjoying his aperitif cocktail

Lovely, but needs updating
Fabulous location with great views, but the inside is a little dated. There was also work or renovations going on while we were here (which we weren’t notified about). Aside of that, the staff are friendly and helpful, our room was clean and spacious.

Chinese Looking
One of the biggest hotel on the island of Gozo close to the ferry terminal. The hotel feels a little run down to me especially the front entrance. All the staff is helpful, friendly and polite. The room is big, not spotlessly clean but it's OK.
