We stayed 2 nights here on 2 different reservations. The rooms are small and the bathroom is smaller than a cruise ship bathroom. Breakfast was average. Parking is a concern here. Perfect location and a walking distance from Port so works great if you have an early morning sail
We stayed at the Strada Marina from 28th of October. From the check-in, we feel immediately at ease thanks to lady with dark hair and pink lipstick. She offered us upgrade to marina view room with balcony with no charge. Our room had all the necessary comforts: hairdryer, telephone, good size safe and TV, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. We had a small problem with our room, but it was fixed immediately by very friendly gentleman. The rooftop swimming pool and bar was close, as this was end of the season. You could not asked for better location, very central, 2 minutes walk to main square, all attractions, restaurants, tavernas and shops. We rented a car and we never had a problem with carpark space ( the end of the season ). We opted for breakfast only, and for the Greek standards it was great, fresh pastries everyday, fruit, cakes and good coffee. Housekeeping service - brilliant, rooms cleaned everyday, towels changed every other day. Special thank you to Yanis- very polite, well mannered and extremely friendly young man from reception. Thank you for your advice, recommendation and great chat! We had amazing stay in Strada Marina, thank you all for making our holiday so special.
Upon arrival the room was dated small bathroom....shower head you have to hold so hard to wash uou hair properly...balcony no more than 2 feet and I actually mean 2 feet...made .feel nauseous This was supposed to be a superior room......the bed were so hard never had a good night sleep for the whole 10 nights
The rooftop terrace doesn't open till 11am so you just sit in your room. Killing time....when it opens there are only 14 sun loungers which are not maintained kept breaking...my husband continually helping g people with the umbrellas which I were very hard to open if your elderly The best thing this hotel has is the view it is outstanding but doesn't warrant its 4 stars.....I would push to give it 2
Won't be returning
Agree totally with previous review by "bev" cleaning practically non existent. Reception women dreadful, disinterested, rude. Too busy trying to look good...
First the good news: The location is excellent. The views from the rooftop are amazing. We opted for the more deluxe room with harbour view and the panorama from our balcony was exceptional! All the rooftop staff were very friendly but only one of the main reception members was friendly and helpful.
But: The pool area is way too small for the size of this hotel. There are only 14 sunbeds around the small pool. The hotel bedroom was decent enough but it needs a refurbishment - it’s showing its age- but the bathroom is really awful and it is in serious need of renovation: the bathroom door stop doesn’t allow the door to open to wide enough (you have to step into it sideways past the washbasin), you have to almost slam the door to get it to close, the grouting around the bath looks terrible, there’s no shower mounted onto the wall (it’s basically hand-held), there’s a shower curtain rather than a glass door, the area in the bath around the plug hole looks awful, the bathroom door has previously been broken and patched back up and the ceiling has obviously peeled in the past and has just been painted over. The breakfast was quite extensive but we’ve had much better quality in other 4* hotels. We found unfortunately that many of the reception staff were functional rather than happy meet and greet types. Apart from one who really does deserve a personal mention. She’s called Agape and she always gave a cheery greeting as we entered and left and she was lovely to speak to.
All in all there’s no way this is a four star hotel. It may well have been back in the years gone by but at the moment its only saving grace is its location.
