This hotel is situated in a wonderful quiet area on the island overlooking the picturesque Porto Zoro Bay. The beach is 500 m away, the centre of Vasilikos is 2 km away, whilst the airport and Zante, where the main harbour is to be found, are approximately 9 km away.
The beach hotel comprises two buildings in a style typical and traditional for the island architecture. The buildings are connected to each other by a tiled corridor. The hotel is surrounded by olive trees and comprises a total of 53 rooms. Facilities in the hotel include a lobby with a reception, hotel safe, 2 bars (one inside and one outside) as well as a dining room. There is a playground for younger guests and room service is additionally available.
The rooms are simply decorated yet are aesthetically pleasing and luxurious at the same time enjoying charming views over the sea and surrounding mountains. They all come with an en suite bathroom, a direct dial telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning, central heating and a fridge.
There is a swimming pool with a children's pool in the outdoor complex.

Fantastic stay
More than we could ask for on our stay in zante for half the price of everything else. A delightful stay, great staff and very good food as well. I’d definitely recommend!
Tranquil Greek Getaway
Would highly recommend if you're looking for a peaceful holiday away from the hustle and bustle! The hotel is far enough out of the way for tranquility at its best but close enough to the local towns of Argassi and Zante should you choose to venture. If you are looking for a traditional Greek experience, the food, the location, the warm welcome of the hotel staff and their kind manor makes this a visit worthwhile
Amazing
What a find....booked the Matilda Hotel last minute and so pleased! In a lovely remote area but the hotel has all you need, delicious authentic food, beautiful pool and bar area with the highlight of the amazing view. We had no problems planning our excursions as the manager George was so helpful, booked us transport and recommended local trips which we thoroughly enjoyed, saw turtles from Laganas bay and island hopped by boat. On arrival, our room was fine, clean and spacious but I had requested a higher floor which was no problem for reception to switch us over. Throughout our stay, George, Bill (reception) and Jenny (bar staff) made us more than welcome, their service to us as guests was hugely appreciated. We will definitely return here
