We’ve had such a lovely stay here and honestly, we really didn’t want to leave!
The location is absolutely stunning. It’s in a quieter, beautiful part of Zante, which makes it perfect for relaxing, but there are still two lovely beaches within walking distance, along with some great tavernas, cocktail bars and little places to explore.
The hotel itself is beautiful, spotlessly clean and so well cared for. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and there’s such a lovely, warm and intimate atmosphere throughout the hotel.
We did have a small issue with our room when we first arrived, which meant spending a couple of nights at another hotel. But honestly, it didn’t take away from our experience at all. Once we returned, we settled in and absolutely loved our stay.
Our room was gorgeous, and we were so lucky to have a beautiful sea view, even though we hadn’t booked one! ❤️ The food was good, the pool area was always clean and tidy, and everything just felt so relaxed and welcoming.
We’ve had the most wonderful, relaxing holiday and have made some lovely memories here. We would happily come back and would definitely recommend the Gerakas Belvedere to anyone looking for somewhere peaceful, beautiful and friendly to stay in Zante.
A huge thank you to all the staff for making our stay so special. We’ll be very sad to leave. ❤️🇬🇷
We spent the last week of August here as a family of 4. My 2 boys (aged 4 and 6) absolutely loved it here and we couldn’t get them out the pool so ideal of younger kids who don’t need a larger pool/slides etc. We found the food very fresh and they were always changing the dishes to get rid of any that had been sat there a while with some newer food. We did eat out in 2 of the restaurants nearby on 2 nights just for a change of scenery and as all inclusive can become a bit same samey but we find that everywhere we go unless they have different restaurants onsite. The italian up the road was delicious and we went to the cafe/restaurant opposite another night and they were lovely and so accommodating. The italian restaurant gets booked up fast so might be worth booking (but we did go on a Saturday so maybe that’s why).
All inclusive drinks weren’t amazing but were fine for us who aren’t big drinkers anyway. Marked down one point because the pool bar have ice creams and lollies available to pay for so it got expensive as the children can see them and want them and I do feel many some ice cream options should be free on all inclusive personally as that is a big factor to why we pick all inclusive with small children but as the rest of the holiday was so so lovely we didn’t mind too much!! Also sunbeds can be hard to get sometimes but this didn’t bother us too much as on days we didn’t get beds we went to the beach and there were some available when we came back.
Beaches are stunning! Sea water and sand so clear and warm. Pool water also lovely and warm but refreshing enough! Our room was so so clean and tidy, cleaners do an amazing job. All in all we were very happy with our stay and feel we got ourself a lucky gem here! PS. Greek night on Friday was lots of fun! Turtle Sanctuary is worth a visit on the way to the beach and the food drinks there are lovely and all money goes to the sanctuary.
Definitely not a 4-star experience- would never come back and would not recommend- save your money, time off and hopes of a relaxing holiday.
Unfortunately, our stay was a very disappointing experience and, in my opinion, this hotel is nowhere near a 4-star standard. There were a number of basic hospitality and service issues throughout our stay that really took away from what should have been a relaxing holiday that I was looking very much forward to.
One of the biggest problems was the handling of an issue when we first arrived. Our key card wasn’t working and there was also an issue with the hotel having lost the room key. As a result, we ended up sitting in the lobby for around two hours during the first six hours of our holiday. We repeatedly asked how long it would take and what we should do while waiting, but the concierge team seemed reluctant to take ownership of the problem and essentially left us hanging in the hallway. The issue with the key cards happened exactly 5 times over a 4 night stay- each time we had to wait an hour for maintenance to come and temporarily fix it leading to us missing a dinner we had booked as we only had our swimsuits and towels and could not access our room.
I also explained that I urgently needed access to the room on demand for medical reasons (I have low blood pressure) yet the attitude from the team was incredibly relaxed given the circumstances. There was no meaningful apology or update while we were waiting, which was extremely frustrating and made an already stressful situation much worse. The lack of urgency and basic problem-solving from the concierge team was particularly disappointing. I asked if we could have another room on the 2nd day as this had already happened 3 times by then and they said we could not. I have videos of these incidents should you need them.
There were also several other issues:
● We had to pay for bottled water despite being on an all-inclusive package, which was unexpected.
● There was mould in the bathroom, which is simply not acceptable for a hotel claiming to be 4-star. (Photos attached)
Apparently when housekeeping come to clean, the floor is not apart of the service so the floor is left dirty (we had dead flies on the floor for 2 days till I cleaned it myself. Apart from restocking the toilet roll the bathroom is not cleaned throughout your stay. I ask for a dustpan and brush so that I myself could clean the floor (that’s how desperate I was) in which the receptionist said they did not have one and did not offer a solution ● The pool snack bar only served food for one hour, from 3:30–4:30pm, and the choice was extremely limited — essentially one pizza option and a burger. ● The cocktails were awful, and on several occasions we were served soft drinks in dirty glasses. ● The area around the pool was visibly dirty, including the pool floor area. ● There was a kettle in the room, but no tea or coffee provided, which seemed like a strange omission. ● The Wi-Fi was extremely temperamental and unreliable. ● The check-in process was also inconvenient. You have to lift your suitcase up to reception to check in, and then lift it back down the stairs to get to your room. Not exactly the easiest or most welcoming start to a holiday.
Overall, the biggest disappointment was not necessarily that everything was perfect — no hotel will be — but the lack of basic hospitality, communication and problem-solving when things went wrong. Staff seemed far too relaxed about issues that should have been dealt with promptly and professionally.
I genuinely don’t understand how this is considered a 4-star hotel. In my opinion, it is not even close to a 4-star standard. Some very basic hospitality training, particularly around customer service, communication, cleanliness and problem-solving, would make a significant difference.
Sadly, the combination of cleanliness issues, poor food and drink options, unreliable facilities and the way our initial room problem was handled meant that this was not the relaxing all-inclusive holiday we had hoped for.
A real shame as the hotel has so much potential however lacks the management or care that is required. If a complimentary holiday to this location was given to me I would decline.
I did not travel with children however would not recommend due to lack of activities for them and very limited food choices.
The days we were not at the hotel during the day were amazing (these were all arranged by ourselves) however no matter how great the time we had elsewhere when we would return to a dirty hotel and room that we didn’t know if we’d be able to access or not with awful service, all the great times were quickly reversed.
Disappointing experience, far below what we expected from a 4-star “Luxury Suites” hotel
We stayed at Gerakas Belvedere Luxury Suites from 24 to 31 August 2026, travelling as a family with our two daughters, aged 2 and 5.
Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing and, in our opinion, far below the standard we expected from a property advertised as a 4-star Luxury Suites hotel.
The biggest issue was cleanliness. From the first days, the room was not properly cleaned: the floors were dirty, there was sand in the bed, and towels were initially not replaced. We reported these issues several times to reception, but even after our complaints, the cleaning remained inadequate throughout the stay.
The balcony and bathroom sink remained dirty for the entire week. On top of that, the sink did not drain properly for a large part of our stay. We reported this problem several times as well, without it being properly resolved.
The room was also infested with red ants, and the hairdryer was broken. These issues were also reported to reception.
We were travelling with our two young daughters, who had to sleep on two sofas for the entire seven-night stay. We did not consider this an appropriate sleeping arrangement for two small children in a property of this category.
Another major disappointment was the All Inclusive package. The selection of included products was very limited and, in our opinion, of poor quality. If you wanted something different, you had to purchase it separately from the hotel at surprisingly high prices. For example, a single ice lolly cost €4.
Unfortunately, the poor organisation continued until our departure. The evening before checkout, we specifically asked reception to book a taxi for 6:00 AM. The receptionist wrote down our request, but the following morning we discovered that the note had been lost and the taxi had never been booked.
Finally, at checkout we paid the accommodation/climate tax by card, but despite explicitly asking for it, we were not provided with a receipt for the tax payment.
What disappointed us most was not one isolated problem, but the number of issues and the fact that many of them remained unresolved despite repeatedly reporting them to reception throughout the week.
Vasilikos is a beautiful area and the property certainly has potential, but based on our experience, cleanliness, maintenance, the quality of the All Inclusive package and the overall organisation were nowhere near the standard we expected.
Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel.
Had a lovely 5 night stay at this hotel last week, extremely relaxing. Room comfortable, fantastic food and pool area and views. Took an afternoon boat trip organised by reception staff for us which was really enjoyable. All staff very friendly and helpful. Friday Greek night was lots of fun! Short walk to two beautiful beaches and restaurant at crossroads just up from hotel does delicious food too. If you are looking for lots of day and evening entertainment, this isn't for you. For us , a 5 night stay was just perfect.
