spent a week at this hotel and we wished we hadn’t,it is no good for disabled people no entertainment at all such a long walk to a bar bar shuts at 11pm.food is not good when yo have breakfast and the restaurant shuts the snack bar opens until 6pm,but if you want food you have to pay for it.but I’m sorry when you pay for all inclusiveyu shouldn’t have to pay again.the breakfast had carrots and sweetcorn it seeme whatever was left over from breakfast lunch and dinner went back on again, and again
Well we’re do I start….. arrived early afternoon 2pm told to sit and wait in the hot reception area until 3pm, no cold drink offered so we had to find our way to the pool bar to grab a drink. Taken to our apartment 622 had to go back to reception for the safe key, also had to ask for some kind of instructions for meal times and facilities this was not offered. The bed Oh my god it’s the worst bed I have slept in very hard and uncomfortable, I suffer from a bad back but my I dreaded going to bed, the rest of the room was nice and the view from the balcony. The fridge kept drinks very cold. The shower worked well however the water came through the side of the protective glass therefore made the floor very dangerous and slippery, we had to use our towels to mop up the floor after each use, then the shower refused to drain. The sunbed situation was horrendous we had to put towels on at 6a.m each day, work it out 80 hotel rooms and 40 sun beds it just doesn’t add up does it, on our last day the receptionist actually took peoples towels of the sun beds who weren’t on them at that time and put them in a pile, now I would say this is a hotel problem and issue and not a paying customers because all people wanted was to make sure they got a bed. The hotel is in the middle of no we’re so not even walking distance to a beach, then you had to pay to go on the beach. Also you expect to get into the pool to cool down the pool was like a warm bath not enjoyable at all. The food…. Bloody awful and that’s the truth we ate out at the small taverna just outside the hotel, the hot food at the hotel was cold, uninviting, and simply awful 😣 the salads were good but this is not all inclusive standard, if you wanted a burger during the day you had to pay, the young lady behind the pool bar was lovely she worked very hard every day. We hired a car for a day to venture out Zante was lovely but avoid Laganas it’s a dump, there is some stunning beaches however very stony and pay to have a bed on them. This hotel is not geared up for anyone with a disability and it is very hilly and steep to get anywhere. The taxis are very expensive and also Joanna’s supermarket down the road she is lovely but 3 euros for a packet of crisps… come on. I personally would not return to this “4 star hotel’ even if they said it was free. It’s really not run very well at all and is not an all inclusive that you would expect for your money. Tui need to take a look at what these are advertising to be honest.
Myself and my wife arrived here for a relaxed week away and after reading some of the positive reviews prior to travelling we were hopeful of a lovely stay, however this soon became evident that we were going to be disappointed, the front desk when we arrived was like something out of faulty towers, disorganised and quite frankly embarrassing, we had to ask for the key to the safe told to go back as could not find it no information about the hotel the WiFi code given I had to ask for everything. I will point out the poor attributes to this place and some positives.
I feel like I had to write this review as I believe this hotel are not up to an all inclusive standard and it is definitely not a 4 star I would say a 2plus, the hotel as a collective need to look at the food menus as to much of the same food daily and poor quality at that. The comfort of the hotel is poor and some of its facilities especially been so far away from the beaches etc. I would not return to this hotel and I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone that’s my true reflection on this place.
The hotel itself is nice and clean and the food varied and plentiful. It's a small inclusive set up so don't expect tens of dishes but unless you're a fussy eater you'll find something wholesome and probably traditionally greek.
The pool bar serves drinks all-day and has a good range of drinks available (see image).
Rooms (221-224) were modern suites and ours was very nice. Good aircon overlooking the front of the hotel towards the sea and pool. A bit of noise from the kitchens but nothing major.
Make sure you realise the location. Remote but shops and short walk away. Turn left and it's a 15 walk to a great beach, a turtle sanctuary (free) and some restaurants. Some people around the pool hadn't done their research and felt a bit isolated.
The biggest criticism I have is the pool area. Firstly, the lack of sunbeds. There simply isnt enough for all the guests. Despite having a terrace area, there are only an additional 8 or so bean bags. This really needs the same amount of sunbeds found around the pool in order to cater for everyone. There is seating by the bar, but daily people found themselves sitting on chairs because of the lack of loungers.
Now I hear you say...get up early...reserve a lounger. We did, 7am towels out. This was fine for a couple of days. Day 3...towels removed. When we arrived after breakfast (9.30am) they were nowhere to be seen. Reception had the towels bagged up, along with a lot of other people's. No warnings. No notices. All they need is some clear rules and people would be happier and know the deal. A sign: No towels before 830am. Any towels down before this will be removed.
Removal of towels is standard practice at a lot of hotels but this wouldn't be needed here if the hotel was better equipped for near full occupancy. They have the room...make use of it.
Next, the pool. Nice but a bit warm. If coming peak summer, with children and families the pool will probably feel a little crowded. Especially with inflatables.
Lastly, there's a nice roof terrace but it only has limited seating. They need more seats for the evening as the view is lovely, maybe add a bar, have an outdoor event, BBQ.
If I wanted a relaxing holiday, outside of school holidays I'd probably recommend.
Bad from the start! This is not a 4star all inclusive in my opinion 2star at best very limited offer gym, snack food, ice cream etc all at additional cost so if you have kids it’s going to cost you. Room was dated tired with broken fittings also smelt of damp, shower leaked we had to constantly put towels down to avoid slipping over air con hit and miss, it would seem some of the comfort rooms haven’t been updated so beware. Management haven’t a clue how to deal with customers we gave up trying to change rooms in the end we just got fobbed off, then we find out room upgrades were been handed out to new guests arriving when we asked we got told it’s a lottery and it’s not there fault we booked that room 🤷♂️ Panas the bar manager had my wife in tears on one day! She only asked for a larger wine glass so she could have ice in her drink and was snapped at in front of other guests ridiculous, this had not been an issue the first week. There is no separate bar area it’s all in the restaurant so if you want a pre dinner drink you have it in the restaurant or the reception area. Food ok if you like salad but limited offer and Luke warm beer is typical low alcohol all inclusive so fizzy and weak, most people seemed to eat in the taverna across the road. Pool area was best described as chaos! not enough sun beds the hotels answer was to take peoples towels off the beds who tried to reserve them, maybe a clear sunbed use policy or clear signs would have been better than having angry guests. The pool is ridiculously hot! No lifeguard or monitoring of the pool whatsoever. Hotel is isolated which didn’t bother us one of the reasons we booked to be fair but if you want to get about a car is a must taxi fairs are very expensive. In summary this is not a good value for money all inclusive holiday not 4 star! Avoid Only positive is the waitress’s in the restaurant and Athena on the pool bar work hard and do a great job.
