Absolutely fantastic hotel in a prime location in the heart of Laganas. Everything about it can’t be faulted. Spotlessly clean, delicious and fresh food (both at breakfast and from the pool bar kitchen) lovely pool and staff that couldn’t do anymore for you. Big shout out to Stavros at reception and Joanna at the pool bar as both did everything they could to make our first trip to the Tzante Hotel and Zante a memorable one. We will definitely be back.
We were happy aesthetics of the hotel but we found the staff really rude and condescending and didnt want to help us from the first moment we arrived and gave us a room we didnt book and said the hotel was fully booked. Also you can't make any noise.
My partner and I stayed at Tzante Hotel the past week as we was in Zante for a Family wedding and can we say what a beautiful hotel it is. Adult only and right on a busy strip but closer to the beach and restaurants so and you hear no noise and music from the bars around at night. We had peaceful sleep every night. 10-15 mins from the airport too
Rooms are beautiful, relaxing, great air con in the rooms and cleaned daily without request. Breakfast… a great selection.
And I must give flowers for the staff. All so warm and welcoming. Friendly and funny. Got on with everyone
And we’d like to give it me of the staff, Joanna a shout out. Thank you so much for looking after us this past week. You’re a great member to the hotel team and thank you for serving me the best mango daiquiris this week. I miss them already.
Would recommend hotel. Great location to lovely bars and Resturant along the beach and entertainment along the strip.
Thanks again for a great week
The location is probably the only good thing about this hotel. We were put next to a group of lads who come back pissed a 5am trying our door now I've found the lock doesn't always lock our door. You tell the guy at reception and he seems to not be interested if they push the door while you are out and your belongings get stolen I'm sure they won't replace them or worst still while you are asleep you get a group of pissed guys coming into your room through a door that doesn't lock would not be the one. You explain this to the guy at reception and he just smiled and said I see what I can do. The breakfast is not that great either. I wouldn't book here again i dont normally leave reviews but this place is terrible.
Our group of 14 recently stayed at the Tazante Hotel, and while there were some positives, the overall experience was disappointing because of the way we were treated by the staff.
The biggest advantage of this hotel is undoubtedly its location. Being situated right on the Strip meant we were within walking distance of restaurants, bars, shops, and the main attractions. We rarely needed transport because everything we wanted was easily accessible. Whether we were heading out for breakfast, exploring the local nightlife, or simply taking a stroll, the location made our holiday much more convenient. If you’re looking for a hotel that’s central and puts you in the heart of the action, this certainly delivers.
The pool area was fairly standard. It was clean enough and provided a place to relax after spending time out exploring. It wasn’t particularly luxurious or memorable, but it did the job. There were enough sunbeds most of the time, and the overall pool facilities were adequate without being exceptional. If you’re expecting a resort-style pool experience, you may be disappointed, but for a basic hotel pool, it was perfectly acceptable.
Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. The biggest issue throughout our stay was the attitude of the staff. We understand that travelling as a group of 14 can require a little extra management, and we always tried to be respectful of other guests and the hotel rules. However, from the moment we arrived, we felt as though we were being judged purely because of the size of our group rather than our behaviour.
Instead of feeling welcomed, we constantly felt like we were being watched and spoken to as if we were doing something wrong. Staff members were often abrupt, unfriendly, and at times downright rude. Rather than communicating politely, they frequently came across as if they expected trouble from us before we’d even had the chance to enjoy our holiday. It genuinely felt like we were being treated more like convicts than paying guests, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere throughout our stay.
Another frustrating aspect was the air conditioning system in the rooms. It was surprisingly difficult to operate, with controls that were far from user-friendly. Something as simple as adjusting the temperature became a trial-and-error process. After long, hot days, the last thing anyone wants is to spend time trying to work out how to cool the room down. Clearer instructions or a simpler system would make a noticeable difference to the guest experience.
Overall, the Tazante Hotel has the benefit of an excellent location and acceptable basic facilities, but customer service is a major weakness. A great location can only compensate for so much when guests don’t feel welcomed or respected. Hospitality should be about making visitors feel comfortable and valued, regardless of whether they’re travelling alone or as part of a larger group. Sadly, that wasn’t our experience.
Would I stay here again? Probably not. The convenient location wasn’t enough to outweigh the poor treatment we received from staff and the unnecessary frustrations with the room facilities. There are plenty of other hotels in the area that offer the same excellent location while hopefully providing a much warmer welcome.
