We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Domes Aulus Zante. The food was outstanding across all the à la carte restaurants, and even the buffet exceeded our expectations with its variety and quality.

The staff truly made the experience special. The bellmen were so friendly and welcoming, the main bar and beach bar teams were always cheerful and attentive, and everyone on reception was consistently helpful. The manager was incredibly approachable and made a point of greeting us personally each day, which added such a warm, personal touch.

The hotel itself is beautifully maintained — everything feels cared for, clean, and thoughtfully presented. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay and left already talking about when we’ll return.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, well‑run, and genuinely hospitable resort.

Location only 10 minutes from the Airport! Upon arrival we were met and within less than 5 minutes we were checked in and on a golf cart to see the complex. What a complex! Not the largest we've been to but the best. During the short drive our driver "Leni" who was one of the nicest men we have ever met explained he'd been there for 26 years. We mentioned that we were having our 29th Wedding Anniversary there so he messaged the reception staff who would "sort something out" and they did for our anniversary with Balloons, Fiz and cake! We didn't say this for this treatment but nothing was too much bother for them. The room was idea with a large firm bed, wonderful aircon with large ceiling fan, separate toilet but the shower was a cubical which you could see into from the bedroom. This didn't bother us as we are a couple but some shared accomodation may have found it unusual? An ok sized pool which was a welcoming temperature under the Greek sun with a well stocked and knowledable bar and bar staff next to it. Loads of sun loungers whether next to the pool or near the private beach! Something unusual was the "Grab and go" fridges which stocked branded soft drinks, beer and water and another one with fresh fruit bowls, sandwiches or wraps or both and salads. These were in the cost of your Ultra All Inclusivity along with the help yourself icecream and sobets! ALL the restaurants served top class food which we did visit at least twice in the italian and the sea food. You have to book and using the Domes App which was supported by the best WIFI we have ever encounted anywhere helped with this but if you had issues then just go along to the reception staff and they would try and sort a booking for you. ALL the staff were exceptional and I would love to mention everyone's name but here are a select few who made our stay exceptional, Theoni, Chara, Dephne, Enora? and EVERYONE else at the Bar! Nothing was too much for them and they would go out of their way to help you. Speaking of which, some staff wear what can only be called "Black Pyjamas" as they are Guest Services. They stand out and they pyjamas are to make you feel more comfortable. It works for us but we did feel sorry for them and would suggest a more breathable fabric particularly in the hot Summers. Cotton or linen perhaps? The hotel offers a free bus into Zakynthos two twice a week which is well worth it (need to book at reception) and if you want to go into Laganas which is far enough to be away from the hotel that you're not disturbed by it is only 10 euros in a taxi which is quick and efficient! The beach which houses many sea turtle nests although we didn't see any is vast, clean and opens you to a shallow and warm sea. I walked left to the threshold of the runway about 1km away and don't worry the planes are not noisy. This allowed me to enter the water an walk out about 200m before I got to my shoulders! I saw many fish including the odd stingray but these were anywhere between 200m to 300m from the shore and stayed on the bottom. I've swam with stingrays before including being in a feeding frenzy in the Pacific with them and never felt scared! They tend to leave you alone but are facinating to watch so don't let them put you off. I let the weak current move me gracefully up the coast and within an hour I was back out side of the hotel. So peaceful and relaxing! We have said that we will definately be coming back to Domes Aulus in the near future and have nothing bad at all to say about it. Well done to everyone from the grounds keepers, house keepers, reception staff, bar staff, guest services and anyone else in the backround which keep the hotel running because whatever your are doing, you are doing it right! After saving for our annual holiday, we were genuinely excited about our 12-night stay at Domes Aulus Zante. Unfortunately, the reality did not match the marketing, and we left feeling disappointed. The resort is advertised as a five-star all-inclusive property, but in our experience it was nowhere near that standard. The room showed clear signs of neglect, including rusty bathroom fixtures, stained bedding, poor housekeeping and makeshift towel hooks that were literally exposed nails in the wall. Our “bungalow with garden view” was actually on the first floor and the view looked nothing like the promotional photos. The facilities were also limited. There was only one pool for the entire resort and guests were reserving loungers early every morning. For what is marketed as a premium resort, it lacked the space and atmosphere we expected. Food quality and variety were another major frustration. The buffet rarely changed throughout our stay and choices quickly became repetitive. The speciality restaurants sounded impressive when booking, but securing reservations was difficult and the menus were surprisingly limited. Calling the Mexican option a restaurant is generous, as it was simply a food truck within the resort. The bar experience was equally disappointing. Cocktails tasted artificial and when we queried them we were told they were largely made using syrups rather than being properly mixed. Perhaps most frustrating was the lack of useful customer service. Whether asking about spa treatments or local excursions, staff offered very little practical information and seemed unable to provide meaningful assistance. To be fair, some staff members were friendly and the grounds are attractive. However, these positives did not compensate for the poor maintenance, average food, limited facilities and lacklustre service. If you’re booking this hotel expecting a true five-star, all-inclusive luxury experience, I would strongly recommend lowering your expectations. Sadly, it was not the holiday experience we were promised or paid for.
