As the song says.... welcome to hotel California, such a lovely place, such a lovely face..... you can check in any time you want but sadly you have to leave
Not great
Stayed here for the week, checked in 15-06. The staff were friendly and the cleaners done an amazing job. However, I paid extra for a private pool which I had, when I got to the room, the pool looked as though it had not been cleaned in a month, it’s always disgusting, and while there it was only cleaned 2 times. The WiFi was horrific, either you had a connection or none at all, usually being the latter, there was no in between. I’m coming to laganas again next year but will not be staying here again.
Not really 4 stars hotel
It's my first day today, for seif from the room they extra charge, want remote for the air conditioner, 7 euro per day.Want a towel for the beach, 2 euro per person, per day I went in other places in Greece and never experienced this.The bathroom doesnt look good, it' s old.The room is ok.For sure were not going to return.If you ask me , these are really not 4 stara conditions.I made the reservation thru agency, but they didn't told about all these extra costs.
Excellent Stay in Zakynthos!
Had a wonderful stay at California Beach Hotel in Zakynthos! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location was perfect for enjoying the beach and nearby restaurants. Great value for money, and I'd happily stay here again.
An excellently located... 3.5-star hotel
Pros – The hotel is excellently located, just 30 meters from the beach. It is also a reasonable distance—about 5–6 minutes—from the main street in Laganas. The room was fine and relatively recently renovated. Good Wi-Fi and air conditioning; the bathroom featured both a bathtub and a shower with constant hot water. Amenities included a TV with many channels (for those who wish to use it while on vacation), a kettle, a hairdryer, and a free safe. Breakfast was very good. The beach is decent; sunbed prices range from €10 (further from the water) up to €25 for a set of two sunbeds and an umbrella. The entry into the water is very gradual, with no stones. Cons – I don't think it quite meets all the criteria for a 4-star hotel; it feels more like a 3.5-star property. Because it is rated as 4 stars, the resort tax is €10 per night. The breakfast coffee was weak—though that is typical for hotels. About the resort – Laganas is a lively resort town featuring a main street about 2 km long, lined with numerous clubs, restaurants, and shops. There are also many terraces and restaurants along the seafront promenade, which stretches for about 1 km. It is close to Zante Town (the capital)—about 7–8 km away—which is worth visiting for an evening; the main attractions there are the harbor area, the waterfront promenade, and a pedestrian street (approx. 1 km long) filled with shops and terraces. A taxi from Laganas to Zante Town costs €20.
