The on-site restaurant offers a combination of regional and international dishes in an elegant ambiance, which can be enjoyed in a buffet style. No holidays are fulfilled without spending a relaxing time by the swimming pool, while sipping a refreshing drink or snacking on something delicious.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel is in a great location between the old quieter strip (recommended) and the newer noisy strip (once was enough).
All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and polite.
The room was spacious and modern and kept clean daily by Rizlyn who was always polite, friendly and helpful. The fridge was stocked with a mini-bar but Rizlyn emptied it so that we could use it for our own drinks. The air-con was effective and quiet at night. The tv had several channels in English and a Greek channel showing all of the world cup football. The room could have been furnished with more drawers - we only had 2.
The breakfast selection was vast - you'd have to be fussy to not find something here that you'd like.
The pool area was cleaned daily. The sunbeds were very close together, too close but we used end pairs and moved them to suit us. We had lunch at the pool bar every day - the portions were generous.
We didn't go half-board so can't comment on the evening meals. The upgrade at under £10pppn seemed good value but we like to eat out in a taverna and there are several nearby.
We would very likely come back here.
We had such a wonderful week at this hotel.
We stayed in room 103 which was absolutely stunning.
Peace and tranquility at all times!!
The staff were excellent and nothing was ever too much trouble.
We don’t often return to the same area / hotel but we would 100% return to this hotel.
My husband, daughter and I enjoyed our week here at Meandros . We had 2 rooms, a pool view & a garden view on 1st floor, both were spacious, air conditioned and comfortable. We stayed on half board basis, the food was freshly prepared and delicious, offered a good selection which was replenished frequently. All the waiters were very friendly and took away dirty plates straight away, we didn’t have to wait for drinks service . Everybody deserves praise, so nice to have a genuine welcome from the start of the holiday to the end. All the staff were very courteous, a very pleasant experience, our room attendant Rizlynn came at just the perfect time as we left for the day, so it was clean and tidied for our return. Everywhere in the hotel was cleaned to a high standard, a beautiful atmosphere. We loved the pool area, calm and the pool itself was lovely. The other guests were very considerate too, and we liked the peaceful ambiance . I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and we would return. It’s a perfect location near to good bars and restaurants, supermarkets, a short walk to the beach.
Great hotel Rooms very good and kept impeccably clean by the staff Breakfast really good with omelette chef permanently at station Nice pool - no problem getting sunbeds
Honest review. Good points: Hotel was spotlessly clean. Reception staff were always helpful. Our cleaner (Rizlyn) was lovely and did a fantastic job. Bar/restaurant staff were always smiling and pleasant - nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Pool was large, spacious and a god send with the heat. Plenty of loungers, but they were a bit uncomfortable - especially at the feet end as it had a metal frame. The spa was absolutely lovely. Bad points: We stayed in a "Premium room"...which basically equated to a bog standard double room - nothing about it was premium. The room needed updating, but the bed was comfortable, the cupboard space was good and the aircon worked. The bathroom was horrendous - the shower head was crusty and it was set at one height, not adjustable - not good for girls who don't want to get their hair wet. The pull sting socket at the side of the shower head was loose, as was the hand towel ring at the side of the basin. It had a drain in the floor that overflowed when using the shower - what the hell's all that about. The bar shut at 10pm, yes, 10pm and because of this it was always empty after the evening meal, as everyone had decided to either eat out or just go to other bars - it's obvious they need evening entertainment on and an extended bar to keep people there spending money. You had to book to use the gym - I have no idea why...if the running machine's free when you turn up, why can't you just use it? All that said, we had a lovely time in Kalamaki, there are plenty of bars/restaurants to choose from...Ambrosia/Parthenon and Vinaz are worth a visit for food and La Luna, Antonis, Mojito and Venue for drinks.
