Fab stay at this hotel
We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Ionian Blue. It is in a fab location, it feels out of the way and almost rural, but really isn't far from anything at all, within a few mins you are at the beach or local bars and restaurants/shops. There were always loads of sunbeds at the pool, the staff were amazing and everything was kept clean and tidy. The bar stayed open late for the England games (until the last person left, handy if you wanted a more relaxed watch) and there was plenty of food and drink choices to buy throughout the day (not silly hotel prices either). Breakfast selection was good and was open from 7.30 to 10am. We had 2 family rooms between 3 adults. The rooms were very spacious, clean and well equipped. We paid for the air-conditioning in one of them (my son wasn't fussed!). The only small negative was that it leaked all over the terrace when it was on, they came out to look but said it was fine (the drain was on the other side of the terrace so it had nowhere to go), so we just mopped up with towels each morning, this was a bit of a pain considering the cost of €110 for the 10 days, but it certainly didn't ruin the holiday and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a good mixture of relaxation and local amenities.
Great location hotel
June 20th 26. Last day of 14 night stay and a very nice clean comfortable hotel, ideally situated in kalamaki.Its a 10 minute walk to Nostos beach and we used Mimi sunbeds on the beach (15€) per day very nice location and free chilled water provided by Mimi (great guy) . Its a short 5 minute walk off the strip with loads of bars, restaurants to choose from, I can honestly report that we never had a bad meal anywhere and our favourite place turned out to be Melon bar (great food and drinks and Claude the owner is a fantastic host who makes everyone feel very special) Back to the hotel, it's spotlessly clean.We stayed in room 312 3rd floor, dont worry about requesting a pool view they all meet that! Lovely 3* hotel which l would give 3.5*
The Ionian blue is a lovely hotel in a good location, being 10 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from the restaurants and shops. We had a twin room which also had two other twin beds in it so was very spacious. We were on the 3rd floor which l had requested.

Good holiday
We have just returned after a very pleasant stay.
This was our second stay the first being 7 years ago. We were not disappointed.
We booked a family room and were placed on the ground floor. This was perfectly fine and the room bright and airy and had a large balcony. It had one of the best showers that we have ever had in a hotel. Room was cleaned daily & towels changed when required. The cleaning ladies were very friendly.
The breakfast choices were ok with a cooked option & cereal, toast, pastries, fruit & yogurt.
Poolside there are plenty of sun beds with a good choice whenever you went down. The grounds man worked hard of an evening to keep it immaculate.
All in all this is a good hotel in a quiet position with easy access to both the beach and the strip.

Great location for both beach and restaurants
The ionion blue is in a great location a short walk to both beach and the restaurants. The room was clean, bathroom a little dated but still useable and clean. Beds were a little hard for me but I have back issues. The breakfast was better than expected with a range of food which changes a bit each day, there was fruit, yoghurt, bread, eggs, bacon, sausage, omelettes and pancakes to name a few and is served from 7.30-10.30. We did use the bar a few times but found the spirits a bit pricey for the glass size and the pool table is 2 euros and in bars up the strip was only 1 euro. Pool area is nice with grass area and plenty of shade. There is no entertainment but that suits us. Overall a lovely holiday and would definitely come back and stay
