Golden Sun Resort And Spa

Stayed at the Golden Resort and Spa for 7 nights and absolutely loved it. We had our own pool which was amazing, the room was immaculate and cleaned every day. All the staff were fantastic but a huge shout out to Emeliano (hope spelling is correct) The al a carte breakfast was fabulous, and the staff who served us were lovely and friendly. All areas of the pool and bar were cleaned to a very high standard. Had a lovely relaxing massage at the spa too. Would definitely stay here again had everything we needed and more.

We had a fantastic stay at Golden Sun Resort Spa and would definitely return. The biggest highlight for us was the staff, who were all friendly and welcoming throughout our holiday.

A special mention goes to Alida at the evening bar. She really went above and beyond, always taking the time to ask how our day had been. She greeted everyone with a smile, spoke excellent English, and even remembered our usual drink order, which made us feel genuinely valued.

We’d also like to thank George, who welcomed us at the entrance to the restaurant every day with a smile and even remembered our room number. It’s those little personal touches that make a big difference.

The young man working at the pool bar and serving food also deserves recognition. He was always professional, and I especially appreciated that he washed his hands and put on fresh gloves before serving food. That attention to hygiene really stood out.

Our room was modern, spotlessly clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The air conditioning was a little temperamental at times, but it was still perfectly adequate.

The main restaurant offered what you’d expect from an all-inclusive hotel. The food was varied, well presented, and everything was kept clean and tidy. The only small criticism was the pool bar food, which seemed to be cooked and then kept warm in heated trays. Personally, I prefer when food is cooked fresh to order, as it tastes much fresher.

The drinks were what you’d expect from an all-inclusive package, but there’s also a local shop nearby with very reasonable prices if you want anything extra.

The pool area was always clean, with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas available throughout the day. There was no need to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve a bed, although if you specifically want one by the children’s area or next to the pool bar, arriving around 7:30am is worthwhile.

The location is excellent—just a short walk to the beach and close to the strip, making it ideal for anyone who enjoys both relaxing by the sea and having restaurants and bars nearby.

Overall, we had a wonderful holiday. The outstanding staff, clean and modern hotel, and fantastic location made this one of our favourite all-inclusive stays. We will 100% be returning next year and can’t wait to visit again.

The only member of staff who didn’t seem quite as welcoming was Polly at the pool bar. While she was always efficient, she often appeared quite expressionless and rarely smiled. I appreciate everyone has busy days, but on holiday a warm smile can really make a difference to guests’ experience.

Hotel is set in lovely grounds and approx 5 mins walk from the lovely sandy beach. Multiple options for sunbeds on the beach and we swam with turtles and went out on pedalows. Hotel is a 15 mins walk from Kalamaki strip, with a couple of bars on the way. There is also a small mini mart on site open during the day. We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom suites, to give our 14 year old some more privacy. Hotel room was modern, spacious and had all the facilities you would need or expect. Only criticisms we had was the main room door wasn’t very sound proof and we could hear the lift dinging at night and from early doors, plus everyone walking past the room. The main bedroom didn’t have a door, just the smaller bedroom where our son slept - not likely to change but something to be aware of. Not a lot of wardrobe space but manageable with extra hangers available on request. The room had a lovely little balcony area overlooking the well looked after gardens. The pool area was well maintained and the pool was very clean. The pool bar was always staffed and they couldn’t do enough for you - such friendly staff. The restaurant was clean and had loads of variety of foods, which changed daily. Food quality was very high and again the staff couldn’t do enough for you. One thing to note is the restaurant closes on time, with lights off according to their schedule. The bar area was always clean and welcoming with the staff always friendly. There were self serve pumps for soft drinks and a hatch for requesting alcoholic drinks. There was entertainment some nights - a singer but other than that could do with some music playing for some atmosphere. There were some big TVs in the inside bar area playing sports. The staff were the highlight and truly an asset to this hotel. The manager Stathis was so welcoming, supported the entire wedding party staying at the hotel, including ordering us a pizza for our son after we arrived after the restaurant had closed for the evening. Stathis even supported us when our flight home was cancelled and found us a room for the evening - he saved us a huge headache and got us back enjoying time with our family within minutes of arriving back. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here (May 2026) and would definitely return.
