Less Exotica more good main stream (not a bad thing though)
The Exotica is a Zante 4 star hotel that is very good but alas let’s it’s self down I would say a 3 star + hotel. The staff are fantastic even up grading us free of charge. But it let’s itself down by being a bit tired old fashioned and not having a dedicated entertainment space (the restaurant doubles as the entertainment space) the food quality it’s good but don’t expect Michelin stars. The main issue for me was the lack of help re my food allergies despite asking in the restaurant several times got no where near clear definitive response. The cocktails are machine made, which was a real shame too ( not four star imho) The hotel has a supermarket next door and is a few metres away from the “strip” If the hotel was really busy you could struggle to get a sun bed but we didn’t have that issue. Would I go again definitely it would be nice if they listened to the small amount of criticism and sorted them out
Fantastic location and lovely room, but disappointing for gluten-free diets
My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Exotica Hotel & Spa for 10 nights.
The Positives: Location: Absolutely excellent! It’s just a few minutes' walk to the main road, which offers a vast choice of fantastic bars and restaurants.
Room & Cleanliness: Our room was very spacious, clean, and kept spotless daily by the housekeeping team.
Service: The staff throughout the hotel were always polite, warm, and friendly.
The Negatives Gluten-Free Options: As someone who requires a gluten-free diet, I was really disappointed with the dining choices. I contacted the hotel before booking and was assured there would be plenty of options, but this was not the case: Breakfast: They provided GF bacon and sausages, but unfortunately, they weren't to my taste. The hash browns contained gluten, leaving me with only eggs, ham, cheese, and fruit most mornings.
Dinner: They had GF pasta sauce available, but no actual GF pasta to put it on! Many of the best dishes were cooked in sauces containing flour. Overall, the food felt very repetitive, and I struggled to find something satisfying to eat each day.
Special Occasion Communication: It was my birthday during our stay, and my boyfriend emailed the hotel in advance to see if they could arrange something small for the room (like a bottle of wine). He never received a reply, and when he tried to ask in person, the reception desk was always too busy.
Summary: If you don't have dietary restrictions, I would definitely recommend staying here—the location and rooms are great! However, due to my gluten-free needs, I unfortunately wouldn't stay again.

Our holiday(junior suit/private swim up room)
We got ourselves junior suite with private pool. Staff from day one ultimately we left were extremely friendly. Room itself was great,regular cleaning of the pool kept it always clean. Restaurant renewed food on daily basis(ofc there was repetitive rice,pasta) but mains were always different. If I would repeat same holidays again? Deffinetely. Trip from and to airport takes around 10min which is so good. Kudos to reception and strong blond woman who was friendly throughout our entire holiday and at the end even protected our baggage until we left. Very pleasant and cozy hotel 👍👍👍

Disappointed more like a 2 Star
Overall the location is probably the best highlight of this hotel. The main strip of Kalamaki is just up the road to the left of the hotel entrance. This is where you will find loads of nice bars, restaurants and shops (if they are open). We arrived 10th October and alot where open and busy, but within days most had closed for the season. Walk to the right out of the hotel entrance and about a 10/15 minute walk is a beach. Not a nice beach, deffo not for sitting on and swimming in, not many people using it as a beach, there is a much nicer one further down, a good 30 minute walk along the shore, but worth it. THE HOTEL is nowhere near a 4 probably a 2* at most in my opinion. ROOMS are tired, dated and falling apart, thought this hotel had recently been refurbished, but this is not the case. The rooms certainly do not look like the images on the hotel website, or travel agent sites. We where in room 702, a small single storey block looking out on the small pool, felt more like a staff quarters than a hotel room. All the fixtures and fittings where hanging off the walls. We had a hairdryer attached to the wall that was melted and unsave to use. This should have been removed from the room, incase someone decided to use it (see images)serious fire hazard. Beds are firm, but I prefer this, but the bedframes are solid wood structures with very sharp edges so watch your legs. Bathroom is a wet room, with a glass screen between the shower and toilet, when using the shower this floods the toilet area due to lack of seals on glass, we had to put towels rolled up to stop this, or the floor would be slippery. The shower head, and wall shelf were hanging off the wall, and the controls to the shower were unusable due to high levels of scale build up, this should have been deep cleaned, as for the shower head too. It was hit and miss on having hot water too. The bathroom only has glass screens as doors and these don't meet in middle, leaving an inch gap, so lack of privacy. The sinks are in the main bedroom area, not issue they just lack storage for toiletries etc. Wardrobe had the door removed and a fridge placed in the cupboard, this made it look untidy and you lost some vital storage space, which the rooms lack. Couple of shelves and a bit of hanging space, with silly plastic hangers. The cleaners do clean rooms daily and change towels daily. Room safe was 20 euros non refundable, and you are only given a key, you are not able to set you own code, so this didnt feel that secure, surely anyone with a master key could open (just our opinion). The hotel lacks outside seating areas, lots of wasted space that could have some table and chairs in the sunshine. Pool bar area is mostly in the shade. Dining room, which also doubles up as the entertainment area in the evening, is always kept clean and tidy, the staff are constantly clearing tables and cleaning. In my opinion this is a very strange setup not having its own evening area for the entertainment. During summer months good luck getting a table for dinner, as people just stay sat down for the evening, after eating meal. Never been to the hotel before that had this kind of setup, and was not a fan off it. Drinks are ok, and yes cocktails are made by machine, but the machine measures all spirits from the bottles. Beer is ok but can vary in taste from different pumps. Wine is awful. Food is not great, we have been to much better AI hotels and had great food, also no snacks available after 9pm. We ate out a few times up the strip and had lovely meals and not that expensive. Cats are also a problem here. People feed them including the staff, and the come in the dining area and jump up on chairs and tables, they also did their business on the grass and paths where people were walking barefoot.
After our experience at this hotel we shall not be returning and s would not recommend to anyone else.

Nice hotel with Excellent staff, everyone was very attentive and customer service was fantastic. The room was cleaned, towels change and bed made daily. Nice pool area and great location close to the beach ( 6 minutes walk ) and the strip ( 2 minutes ) The food was adequate, always found something to eat and never went hungry, For the price this place was very good value. Best thing about the hotel is the staff, a real asset to the business and we appreciated them so much, always willing to help with friendliness and warmth.
