Caretta Beach Hotel is a well-organized family destination located in the Kalamaki resort, a renowned nesting area for the Caretta-Caretta turtles—a beautiful creature that inspired the hotel's name. The long sandy beach is just a short walk away and can also be reached via a private bus.
Situated 850 meters from the beach, Caretta Beach Resort & WaterPark features a water park with six slides for adults, six slides for kids, outdoor swimming pools, a wave pool, and a lazy river. The front desk is available 24/7 to assist guests. Dining options include three restaurants—two buffet-style and one à la carte—offering a variety of local and international cuisines. Guests can also choose from three bars and a snack bar for quick refreshments and light meals.
All rooms at the hotel are equipped with a wardrobe, air conditioning, and a flat-screen TV. The private bathrooms include a bath and a hairdryer, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The water park was amazing, and the service was excellent. However, everything else was disappointing. The beds and pillows were extremely hard, making it very difficult to sleep. The rooms are very old and definitely need renovation. The food was good, but the selection was quite repetitive, so by the third day it became difficult to find something different to eat.
Wonderful hotel, with excellent service and great communication from the reception staff. The water slides were fantastic and provided endless fun for both children and adults.
One suggestion for improvement would be to offer more child-friendly food options, such as pasta without pepper, burgers with a milder flavor and less onion, and less processed chicken nuggets. It would also be nice to see some seafood options available, such as mussels, sardines, anchovies, and calamari.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel!
I came on a family holiday with another family if we hadn’t been together, I think it might have not been as fun. This is not an all-inclusive holiday. There are set times of the day when you can have food and there isn’t snacks provided for the whole time you are here. The entertainment is basic at best and the area by the entertainment is an arcade which you have to pay extra for this. This is my first all inclusive we’ve actually had to spend money on top of the amount I spent on holiday. The food is very basic with little variations of beige there are definitely not enough toilets to cover the massive site and they may as well not be there as they aren’t very clean when you go in. Now to the positives, the hotel has an amazing waterpark which had friendly staff and lifeguards. The rooms yes are basic but are very functional and perfect for what we needed. All the staff are very friendly and willing to help in I just feel that maybe they needed to be better communication regarding all the events within the compound. Overall, it’s not a bad hotel, but it is a basic all-inclusive and I will not be returning. We did do an excursion to go see the turtles and private beaches which was amazing and highly recommend recommended
