- Mimoza Beach Hotel

At Argassi Beach, just 5 km's from the modern capital of Zakynthos island, and with a privileged position by the beach overlooking the blue Ionian Sea, lies 3 stars Mimoza Beach Hotel. With a history of nearly half a century , Mimoza Beach can offer the modern traveller the perfect scenery to relax accompanied with the traditional Greek hospitality and ideal natural beauty. At the same time and within short distance our guests find the lively and busy capital, Zakynthos Town with commercial shops and bars.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This was a birthday surprise from my husband seven days in the sunshine. We stayed in the bungalows here very close to the sea the views here are fantastic. We arrived fairly late in hotel reception and were given a lovely welcome by the receptionist we were quickly checked in and shown to our accommodation. These bungalows have everything needed for the time we spent in them. There is a great walk-in shower, good size sink. Comfy double bed area with a table and a hostess tray for making tea and coffee. Through the patio doors there’s a decent size patio with table and chairs with sea views. We found this place so relaxing and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. We booked in on a bed and breakfast basis and found the food in the breakfast room adequate for what we needed. There was a good selection of everything for example: cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit cooked foods and a cold platter and some tasty cakes and breads. We always felt that we had eaten plenty to keep us going for the rest of the day. There is loads of places to sit outside with chairs and tables, we had our breakfast outside everyday as the weather was so good. The housekeeping were so attentive and cleaned the accommodation everyday with fresh towels if you needed them. We loved this place and we had such a relaxing happy seven days here we will return again, hopefully next year. The pool side area is lovely with plenty of loungers and a decent size pool, we used this facility a few times as we wanted to explore the outside shopping and restaurants.
Stayed for one week , in one of the bungalows in the grounds as heard hotel rooms were very dated. Bungalow was ok but not much hanging space for clothes and the frame was not fastened to the wall so you could soon pull it on to yourself. TV not working properly. Breakfast was in the main hotel and it was self service with a selection of items but unfortunately the cooked breakfast was cold every morning. It's rated a 4* but in my opinion,,3* Will not return and don't recommend this place to stay.
My mum and I have just returned from a week-long stay at Mimoza Beach Resort in Argassi. We stayed in Bungalow 26, which was ideally situated right beside the pool area and only a short walk from the resort's direct sea access. The sunsets in the evening were absolutely stunning. The resort is located at the end of the Argassi strip, with restaurants, shops, and tavernas just a short walk away. The fun train also stops directly outside the resort, making it easy to explore other parts of the island or join excursions. Our bungalow was very clean, modern, and comfortable. It included a kettle, two glasses, and two teaspoons. Although it was located right beside the pool, once the doors were closed, we couldn't hear any noise from the pool area. The windows also had mosquito nets fitted, which was fantastic as we usually get eaten alive by mosquitoes every year when we visit Argassi. The bathroom had a hairdryer, and I can honestly say it was one of the most powerful hotel hairdryers I've ever used. As someone with long, thick hair, this was a real bonus. I had brought my own hairdryer with me, expecting to need it, but it wasn't necessary. There are steps with a handrail leading down to a small sandy beach with direct sea access, which we actually preferred to using the pool. The only downside for us was that the breakfast wasn't really to our taste. However, we preferred having a lie-in most mornings anyway, so it wasn't a major issue. It would also have been nice to have a little more cutlery in the bungalow rather than just two teaspoons, but we simply bought some plastic cutlery to use with evening snacks and pot noodles, as my mum needs to eat when taking her nighttime medication. Another useful facility was the washing machine service. Guests can pay to have their laundry washed, and the staff take care of everything before returning it to your room or bungalow.
Overall, we had a lovely stay at this beautiful resort and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing seaside holiday in Argassi.
Just had 2 wonderfull week at this family run hotel spotless room cleaned every day clean towelsdone by alovley hard working lady fantastic sea views great relaxing grounds steps in to cfyastl clear waters berak fast very gid in the best setting greated by the lallways happey christena cant wsit to return
The setting is truly beautiful and the sea clear and shallow. Perfect for a beach break. We had a bungalow and apart from the lovely outside space it was average.
Little hanging space, stained sheets and very hot even with the air conditioning on that has to be paid for.
The plumbing might look modern but the shower ran cold very quickly and the bathroom smells were awful
The bar is expensive and closes at 7 most evenings The tv has no English channels, given the availability of satellite channels this seems poor. That said when we tried to watch a football match in our room there was no wfi signal.
I do feel this place could be so much better with a bit more thought. The staff are all very freindly and the receptionist was extremely helpful .
I would recommend this place to families as its a safe complex and lots of good facilities on the doorstep. But they need to up their game .
