Katerina Palace Hotel

We had a wonderful stay at Katerina Palace Hotel. Everyone has been absolutely amazing and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived.

A special thank you to Christina, who went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. I was feeling really anxious during the first few days of being somewhere new, but nothing was ever too much trouble for her or the rest of the team. Their kindness, patience, and support made such a difference and helped me relax and enjoy our holiday.

The rooms were great, always spotless and well looked after. The pool was lovely and a perfect place to unwind. It was also extra special because our son learned to swim here, which is a memory we'll treasure forever.

We also really appreciated being able to have a late check-out because we had an early morning flight home, which made the end of our holiday so much easier.

The only slight downside was that the pool bar barman came across as a little rude on a couple of occasions. However, we didn't let it spoil our holiday and simply brushed it off, as every other member of staff was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

Thank you to everyone at Katerina Palace Hotel for such a fantastic stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to return in the future!

Mixed feelings after our trip to the Katerina. On the face of it the hotel is nice the bathrooms and rooms are modern the pools are nice. It’s felt clean on the face of it but read below. The pool bar is great, with excellent cocktails from one of the lads. The hotel is in a great location really easy to get to the centre. People reserve the pool beds, but there are some beach bars with free loungers and pools a few mins away so we ended up there most days, which was more peaceful.

Negatives were: The reception staff were very abrupt, and although informative it came across as rude. Our room smelt quite stale like old smoke and drains when you first went in The duvets (in wardrobe) for the beds had marks on them suggesting they weren’t cleaned between guests We were told not to leave towels on the floor and that they would be changed every 2 days - ours were never changed over 5days - they were also very threadbare and had historic stains The bathroom bin wasn’t emptied daily even after the maids had been into the room to make the beds. Not ideal when you can’t flush paper. And we quite often found the balcony doors had been left open or unlocked after the cleaners had been in The showers if you want to use them on the last day are in the basement of one of the blocks, no where near the reception where you leave your bags and is pretty outdated and not pleasant - you have to book a half hour slot to use them and get given old towels - but tbh we wish hadn’t have bothered.

Breakfast was ok if you got there early but I did find plastic in one of the muffins which put us off that!

Overall probably wouldn’t go back to that hotel, it definitely isn’t 4* as they say, although maybe it once was it was it’s looking a little more tired now!
