An all-suite, adults-only boutique hotel made only for those looking for exclusivity and relaxation. Award-winning Carpe Diem Santorini comes to satisfy the lovers of space, privacy and luxury.
Named World's Best Honeymoon Hideaway and Best Relaxation retreat in 2017 and 2018 respectively, Carpe Diem Santorini is purpose-built to sooth your senses.
In addition to a minimal and luxurious inner space, each suite features a spacious private terrace with its own private plunge pool, a spacious bathroom with bathtub, large closets and a very comfortable bed.
Few hotels in Santorini can offer the panoramas that Carpe Diem boasts: the island surrounded by the sea seen at once on both sides, complemented by stunning sunrise and sunset views. All suites have sunset and volcano view to the West, as well as sunrise and open Aegean Sea view to the East. Up on the hilltop, the Medieval Castle of Pyrgos village rests with a sunrise spectacle relished by romantic early birds.
Location Carpe Diem Santorini is located on the slope of the hill of mirthful Pyrgos, one of the most picturesque villages on Santorini. Pyrgos' main square is approximately 500 meters away, following the village's narrow alleyways.
The hotel is reachable by car and is just 5 km away from Santorini International Airport (JTR) and 6 km from Athinios Port. Carpe Diem overlooks Fira Town, the capital of Santorini, as well as, the entire northern side of the island, including the Caldera and the volcano.
Accommodation All Suites are exclusive, spacious, each with its own private Plunge Pool bouncing, panoramic views to the northern part of Santorini and the Aegean archipelago. All Suites are complemented with fine bath amenities, fluffy bathrobes, slippers, feather pillows and duvets. Other suite amenities include air-conditioning; satellite TV, individual DVD player, direct dial phone, free Wi-Fi access to the Internet, in-room safe deposit boxes, mini bar, a NESPRESSO coffee machine and a hairdryer.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We stayed 10 nights for our honeymoon in May. Such a beautiful location with stunning views of Fira and Oia. A wonderful greeting by Phillipe and a welcome glass of wine before being shown to our suite. The Suite was amazing with Terrace, sunbeds, tables, and chairs private pool. A wonderful breakfast was served (always with a smile) by Mary, who would cater for our needs. The staff on reception were very helpful and friendly when we had any questions and would arrange our hire car time and delivery for us. Would highly recommend Carpe Diem for romantic holiday
This place is absolute paradise, the staff cannot do more for you! Especially Mary who works every day serving food and drink and remembers guest drinks every day at breakfast without having to ask! Everything was clean and as you would expect! The location is good with some spectacular views and a nice walk into town, the hill out is steep, but we saw this as a challenge and should not be off putting! We hope to return when time allows.
Amazing location with stunning views over the Island along with the best Sunset views, Breakfast every day was exceptional and Mary was just lovely, so helpful nothing to much trouble. All the staff made us feel very welcome and were always available if needed.
The room was very clean and kept that way throughout our whole visit, extremely comfortable with a huge shower and bath, the balcony pool although a little cold (we visted in June) was serviced every day and also kept very clean. Great little mini bar within the room, and fresh coffee every day.
Overall a great place to base yourselves while visiting Santorini.
This hotel was a 10/10 - one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at! It’s pure luxury - every part of the stay was incredible! The hotel itself is small so it was very peaceful, rooms were so spacious, kept very clean and were beautifully decorated! The private rooftop pool was amazing with incredible views of the island, lots of space on the balcony for sunbathing and plenty of shade for reading too! The breakfast was also a big standout - the menu changed daily during our stay, where we could select the items we wanted and they were produced fresh for us! The quality of the food was unmatched and I’ve never had such a high quality hotel breakfast before! Overall, couldn’t recommend this stay more - this is a perfect base to get the best of Santorini! Pure luxury and a more authentic Greek experience but still positioned well to get into the tourist hotspots! 10/10 would definitely recommend and will absolutely be returning!
The whole experience start to end was absolutely sensational. I planned a proposal for this trip and the team were so good with helping this go flawlessly. I spoke with Sofia in advance who helped me prepare many special bespoke requests including printing a letter locally on quality stationary, planning flowers and prosecco to be delivered (with fruit), and a number of other requests including suggestions and tweaking! While there, Chris helped me with a large number of requests including laundry, breakfast delivery to the room, both in person and over WhatsApp. Filip greeted us with a warm welcome and smooth departure. All the staff that we came into contact with could not be more helpful and made the stay so special, including the housekeeping, and restaurant/bar staff, even going so far as to delay cleaning and collection of the balcony breakfast until long after usual to help the proposal go off with no issues (without myself asking!). Nothing felt like too much. Upon arrival, we’d been upgraded to another better suite and they didn’t even take credit, they just let us enjoy it.
On top of how great the staff were, the view was astounding, sunrise and sunset - really unique and amazing views of Fira and Oia. Beautiful rooms, lovely pools, breakfast was amazing (really!) and very local spread of varied food.
This stay was truly special and I feel so grateful to this staff at Carpe Diem. I’d love to return one day to celebrate an anniversary and I hope it doesn’t change.
