We stayed here for a week in late August, on a half-board basis, and have mixed feelings about the hotel. There are many outstanding features but equally, there are aspects that could be improved.

The Excellent Features: The hotel is ideally situated overlooking the beach and is a short stroll away from supermarkets, bars and restaurants in the area.

The staff, without exception, were outstanding and all of them were eager to deliver a first- class experience for guests. Sophia and the team in the restaurant were professional, knowledgeable and hardworking; the bar staff were equally professional as were reception, cleaning and pool staff. We didn’t meet any employee who was reluctant to deliver the very best service and our grateful thanks go to all of them. Dimitry helped substantially in the main restaurant with my gluten-free diet and Markos in the Culinarium delivered an outstanding Michelin-grade table service. I highly recommend the Culinarium experience as the food was of a very high standard.

The rooms were large and well appointed and our room had whirlpool bath on the balcony. The pool areas were clean and, crucially, there were 3 pools… the main pool, the beach pool and a smaller quiet pool so there was always somewhere to sit and enjoy the sunshine.

Areas for improvement: The food in the main restaurant was not always 5 star, particularly at breakfast time. The fruit and yoghurt section was always excellent but the hot food did not always meet expectations. Presentation of same was an issue where food didn’t always look inviting. There was an omelette station but the omelettes were often very dry and unappealing. There were however, lots of different types of bread which many guests enjoyed either toasted or accompanied by cold meats, cheeses etc. Dinner was often quite uninspiring. Again, I feel that the presentation was an issue and some of the meat on offer fell below par for us. As someone who lives with Coeliac Disease, I often had dinner made specifically for me. As my food was of a very high standard, I can honestly say that the chef(s) are highly skilled so there is a potential conundrum/mismatch there. This is a TUI Blue so drinks were quite expensive. There are however, bars in the area where drinks are good but with a more realistic price tag.

In conclusion, I would recommend this hotel but with certain caveats. The staff, the cleanliness, the rooms, the entertainment and the pools were all 5* but the food on offer sometimes fell below expectations.

We are recently back from a wonderful 2 weeks at the TUI Blue Meltemi. This hotel is right up there with the best in location and staff that go above and beyond to make sure people enjoy their stay. This is our second time staying here and next year is already booked to return. The moment you enter reception you are made welcome by all the staff especially George who remembered us from last year. We requested the same room as last year and once again it delivered everything we needed and was always clean and fresh with towels changed daily. The TUI team of Tracey, Erin, Zoe and Jennifer were always on hand and full of information, if needed.
The restaurant was once again full of choices so people could mix and match whatever they wanted and the staff were always friendly and helpful and nothing was too much. The bar which the manager Konstantinos and his team of barmen and waiters, Kostos ( junior), Magda, George, James and pretty boy (sorry I could never get his name right) were outstanding throughout our stay and basically made our time there even better than we could have wished for. I am sure we have missed a few names out but to be honest each and every member of staff at the hotel were brilliant. We can’t wait to return next year to such a wonderful hotel who employ so many wonderful members of staff. Well done everyone and thank you.

A great hotel in a wonderful location.

Hotel is spotlessly clean, very inviting and room was great (we had a suite with balcony and whirlpool). The staff were great, very friendly and the Tui reps were also great.

It's a really chilled atmosphere at the hotel, perfect for couples who want to chill and unwind. We ate out a few times which was really good value and had a few evening meals at the hotel which was really good with lots of choices. Breakfast was also good with a decent selection.

Santorini itself was beautiful and we enjoyed exploring, you can catch the local bus for €2.70 although be warned it can be busy. We also did a few trips, the caterman sunset boat tour (worth the extra money to be in a smaller group) and we also did the simply Santorini tour, I highly recommend both.

We went in September and weather was glorious although it can feel a bit chilly in the evenings.

My top tip, get up early one morning to watch the sunrise, in my opinion its more beautiful than the sunset.

Cant fault anything about the hotel, the staff and Santorini. We had a brilliant week and would definitely stay here again.
