Extrenely poor service from management - would not recommend
We arrived at the hotel in the morning and were taken to breakfast, which was fine, we then were taken straight to our suite. The suite had a large splatter stain all over the bedroom wall and the jacuzzi had not been cleaned since the last guests had stayed and had scum and bits floating in it. We requested these to both be cleaned. The stain was cleaned off some of the wall, but we were told we would have to wait 24 hours to use the jacuzzi once it had been cleaned and that they hadn't had time since the previous guests. We then were not informed for another 2 full days (until we asked) that the jacuzzi had been cleaned. We also noticed that the pictures on the website for the hotel, which we had looked at in anticipation of our arrival, did not reflect the actual room we were given. Our room seemed dated in comparison and was not what we were expecting for the money that we spent. We also noticed that we had not been given a tour of the hotel but that all other new arrivals were being given one. We spoke to one of the ladies at reception, who did then give us a hotel tour, and she offered to look at changing our room, which we said was not actually what we had come in for, we just wanted to explain to the manager that we felt disappointed by the experience we had. She wated to speak to her manager the next day and would come back to us with a solution. We never heard anything the next day so went back to reception in the evening, where we spoke to someone else who said they would get the manager to come and see us the next day at 10am. The manager did not show up, and we had waited in the room for them all morning. We then received a message in the afternoon to say the manager apologised for missing the appointment and would come and see us that afternoon and a time would be confirmed. This never happened and we waitedf about at the hotel for the entire day for absolutely no reason. We then heard nothing else at all about anyone speaking to us about the issues. We had given up completely by this point and just used the hotel for sleeping whilst we explored the island. On check out we were not asked how our stay was, just handed our bill for taxes and the one lunch we had on the day we were waiting for the manager to not bother coming to see us. We were not looking for any special treatment, just the service we had paid for. We were staying 7 nights at this hotel, where it seemed most guests were staying only for a few nights but getting much better treatment than we did. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, if you have any sort of issue they just won't bother to resolve it or take care to communicate with you as a guest. If I'm completely honest, this ruined a holiday we had been looking forward to and spent a lot of money on. To the manager: please don't bother responding to this review, you couldn't make the time when we were at your hotel so it's far too little too late now.

A Wonderful Stay at Vedema, Made Special by Maria and Sam
I had a fantastic stay at Vedema in Santorini, part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection. The hotel was wonderful, but the people really made the experience stand out.
Maria, the manager, deserves special recognition. Although she is new to the property, she is already doing an excellent job. She was so pleasant, helpful, and genuinely kind. She made me feel welcome and appreciated, and she is a tremendous asset to the hotel. I hope the leadership team recognizes the great work she is doing.
Sam in the restaurant was equally impressive. His attentiveness and first class service made the restaurant experience a pleasure. He really looked after me, and that personal attention makes such a difference when you are traveling.
What I appreciated most was how natural and sincere the hospitality felt. Maria and Sam were a pleasure to interact with, and they are a big part of why I would happily return.
Thank you to both of them and the entire Vedema team for a wonderful stay. Anyone considering this hotel in Santorini has my wholehearted recommendation. Five stars, well deserved!

Heaven on Earth
We were doing a 2 week European trip for a friend's 50th birthday. Our travel agent told us about the Vedema. When we pulled it up to look at it, it was ABSOLUTELY stunning. Well, it did not disappoint. Our flight arrived early and they were generous enough to allow us to check in 4 hours before we were to initially check in. The staff was amazing, from the front desk, to the porters, the servers at the breakfast restaurant, to the servers at the pools. What an incredible stay we had. The views are SPECTACULAR, from the grounds to the views from your rooms. Everyone was always very helpful. We stayed at the Vedema for 4/5 days but wished we had just stayed in Greece. This place was Heaven and we will definitely be back. Sam we miss you and hope that all is well with everyone there. This place should be highly recommended as they make you feel like you belong there. Thank you from the Rogers. Until next time.

A fabulous week in Megacholori.
Where to start! Our room was spacious and kept very clean. Our room was peaceful. Our jaccuzi was cleaned regularly. Fabulous food and ambience. Breakfast is substantial and very tasty. Dinner in Aleti is atmospheric (candle lit) with great food and service. Wine tasting was very informative - Vasilis is very knowledgable. Pool service is attentive and helpful. The staff are all amazing and work together like a family (too many to name but shout out to Sam!). Nothing is too much trouble. Reception staff are very helpful. The hotel is in the centre of the village so perfectly situated for exploring. Would thoroughly recommend.
Well looked after by an exceptional team
Vedema is highly recommended, it is great location, we hired a car but there is easy access to buses that go all over the island. We loved our room, which had a constant stream of checks that all was ok. The food was first class, breakfast is outstanding and will set you up for the day. The key feature is the quality of the service, the staff are friendly, attentive and attend to anything very quickly. (For instance we had a leaking fridge, these things happen, the leak was cleaned up in 10 minutes, the fridge was replaced in 30). A great team of staff, go and meet them!
