A disappointing stay

I had a deeply disappointing experience at Andromeda Villas. For a hotel that markets itself as a 4-star property, the level of service was shockingly poor.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were unhelpful and, at times, outright rude. The porters offered little to no assistance with our luggage, making our arrival unnecessarily stressful. The reception staff lacked professionalism and seemed uninterested in helping guests.
The most frustrating experience was with the concierge. When I called to request assistance with changing a reservation, instead of helping, I was met with the response, “Why can’t you do it yourself?” This is completely unacceptable from a hospitality professional and certainly not the level of service one expects from a luxury hotel.
To make matters worse, the hotel didn’t even provide basic toiletries such as a toothbrush—an amenity that is standard at virtually every 4-star hotel.
Overall, the service was consistently poor, the staff were uncooperative, and the entire experience fell far short of the expectations set by a luxury property. I would not recommend Andromeda Villas to anyone looking for genuine 4-star hospitality.
Worst hotel ever !
I booked this hotel for my clients….Probably the worst experience ever…no toiletries, no housekeeping, extremely rude staff, bad breakfast….all key parameters to give a great experience are not met! When complained, the staff did their best to make it even worse. Front desk staff was as rude as ever! Elina was one of them.
Never stay here ! It’s really really bad !!
Rude Staff and Poor Maintenance Overshadowed Our Stay
Our stay at Andromeda Villas was unfortunately very disappointing, especially considering the level of service we expected.
The biggest issue was the staff. The reception team was consistently rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. As first-time tourists visiting Santorini, we simply asked for assistance with recommendations, making reservations, and planning an itinerary. Rather than offering hospitality, we were met with indifference. At one point, when I mentioned that I had found an activity online but needed some help booking it, one of the receptionists replied, “If you know it’s available online, why don’t you do it yourself?” That is certainly not the level of customer service you expect from a hotel of this standard.
The porter staff were equally disappointing. Despite clearly seeing us struggling with our luggage, they made no effort to assist us. The maintenance staff were also extremely rude throughout our stay.
We also encountered a plumbing issue in our room. Every time we washed our hands in the sink using soap, soap bubbles would come back up through the floor drain. When we called maintenance, instead of investigating the issue, the maintenance employee rudely told us, “Don’t wash your hands with soap.” When we asked what we were supposed to do after using the bathroom or returning from outside, he simply replied that he didn’t know and walked out. This response was completely unacceptable.
Housekeeping was another major letdown. The room was cleaned very superficially, and it often felt like it hadn’t been cleaned properly at all. There was also a persistent unpleasant smell in the room throughout our stay.
The location and views are beautiful, but unfortunately they cannot make up for poor hospitality, rude staff, and inadequate maintenance. We left feeling very disappointed and would not choose to stay here again and would strong recommend against it
Caldera views and magical sunsets
The location in Imerovigli, Santorini, is unbearable. I’d say it’s as exquisite as most accommodations in the more upmarket Oia. Great atmosphere around the pool all day long with great music - not too loud and not head-throbbing DJ bears! The VIP suite with hot-tub is very comfortable for three. Clean and well appointed. Air conditioning works a treat. The bathroom is large enough and rain shower has wonderful pressure and hot water always. The drainage is immediate. Room service is impeccable. And the views over the caldera are wide with glorious sunsets!
While there are many many steps, two elevators make the climbing only a few steps!! The staff are fantastic and always helpful - from reception to the bell -boys who help transport the luggage.
George who is operations captain tries hard to make things work. He offered us an upgrade to the Golf Suites, which are bigger and spacious but lack the ambience of Andromeda. While we declined, we had to stay at the Gold Suites for one night (of 5 nights) and George was pretty decent in offering what he could to compensate for the inconvenience- including being happy refund if we wanted to go elsewhere. Beware, as they likely overbooked but I will give them the benefit of doubt for ‘an unserviceable room’.

Unforgettable Stay
Absolutely dreamy.
Couldn't recommend highly enough. The only negative is storage in the rooms, we had to leave alot in suitcases but that's genuinely the only niggle we had.
Staff were all fab, setting is stunning and Imerovigli was just perfect and would recommend this hotel and area to anyone visiting Santorini. Sunsets cannot be beaten from the terrace either!!
Pool are is great and always beds available. We didn't really eat here but the food we saw looked lovely.
