This hotel is fantastic! I'm never sure what I expect from a 5 star hotel and there were some bits round the room that seemed a bit tired BUT the room was spacious, very clean, had more helpful kits than I've ever seen (dental, shaving, sewing etc) a fridge to store water/drinks, the beds were fantastically comfy, the room was cool and nicely decorated. The pool was wonderful, and beds were always available, again the beds were supremely comfortable. The pool area was very calm and relaxing. The hotel is just outside of Thira and the hotel puts on a shuttle bus in to town at various points throughout the day which was very useful. The food at the hotel bar/restaurant was excellent, really really good- we ate there more than any other hotel I've stayed in and it was nice after a day out to know there was quality food on the doorstep! The bar area was nicely decorated with very cute lounge beds as well as normal seating and dining. I think the main thing to say about this hotel and why I'd say it definately deserves 5 stars would be the staff, from the moment we checked in with the lovely lady at reception we felt welcomed and safe. Every staff member was lovely, from breakfast staff to the cleaners and an extra special mention to John and Leo at the bar who were fun and attentive and friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure we were having a nice time. The staff were amazing. This is a fantastic hotel with wonderful staff, I would love to go back and I would definately recommend this as a marvellous place to stay. Our best vacation in the last few years
We decided on the hotel at the last minute, this hotel in Santorini and from the first moment we found that we had chosen excellently, the people are kind and helpful with every issue or thing we needed. The rooms are kept and clean. The breakfast is excellent. We really enjoyed it
Outstanding hotel 10/10
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at De Sol Hotel. The Hotel is immaculately clean and well maintained throughout. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly and arranged transfers to and from the airport. It's in an excellent location, not too far away from Fira town. Although walking distance to Fira is about 30/40mins - in the sun would be hard work for some, there is a complimentary shuttle bus service running 4 times a day and it would get you into Fira in approx 10mins.
We stayed in a villa with private pool - a great choice if you're after privacy and a place to unwind. Rooms are tastefully decorated, beds are comfy.
Food at the Seven restaurant was delicious. A special thanks to Maria who served us in the Seven restaurant during the weekend was simply amazing. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent and plentiful. Lots of sweet, savoury and fruit options. Excellent hotel 10/10.

Wonderful hotel, get the suite with pool if you can!
We’ve just come back from a wonderful 1 weeks stay in one of the one-bedroom suites with private pool, which our family of four loved! The hotel is very clean and staff very welcoming and helpful. They even let us have a later check out for free to accomodate our evening flight. Breakfast was lovely and the restaurant dinner meals were delicious! A big thank you to Maria, the waitress who served over the weekend we arrived, she was very lovely and so friendly chatting away to us. The free shuttle bus to/from Fira was a definite bonus too. Thanks for a really lovely stay!

Couple and 15 year old daughter stay
We stayed for 4 nights with our 15 year old daughter and had the most fantastic stay. We chose the 2 bedroom ‘cosy’ room which gave her a beautiful room inter connected to ours. The bedrooms were spotless with space around the bed and a large wardrobe and balcony where we could sit but also used to dry our swimwear. Air conditioning was easily adjusted. The pool was beautiful with towels provided by the pool. It was peaceful and relaxing. The staff at the bar were really friendly and we enjoyed iced coffees and light snacks. The staff on reception were so friendly and helpful. The restaurant was quiet for dinner and one night it was only us having a meal. The food was exceptional so I would highly recommend. Breakfast was really enjoyable with hot and cold food available, my favourite was the delicious home made granola and fresh fruits The free transfers to Fira were great and meant we can easily explore the town. My booked a taxi to Oia (45 euros each way) and it was worth it as we went after breakfast before it was too busy We will definitely return in the future
