This island of Santorini is a synonym for high-class and luxury, and this elegant beachfront hotel is among the reasons for that. The turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea and the warm white sands are enough for any visitor to feel the heavenly appeal of the island, but a stay in this property can offer much more. From the fantastic views of the caldera and the volcanic islands, through the special romantic and wedding packages, the trips around amazing archaeological and natural sites, to the personal approach on behalf of the friendly staff and the owners, this hotel is sure to meet the requirements of even the most seasoned travellers.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We loved our stay at this hotel. Excellent service and staff. The location is beautiful overlooking the sea, volcano etc. It is lovely and peaceful with calming music playing in all public areas. The spa is lovely and priced well too! The room and outside area (table and chairs, sun loungers and plunge pool) is lovely and clean too. Would recommend.
We had a wonderful stay at Goulielmos Hotel in Santorini! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The hotel is in a beautiful location with stunning views, and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing.
The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious. What really made our stay special was the excellent hospitality and attention to detail. We felt very well looked after and enjoyed every moment of our time here.
We would definitely recommend Goulielmos Hotel to anyone visiting Santorini and would happily stay here again!
My other half booked this hotel as a surprise holiday for myself and the hotel was beautiful. The views are unmatched overlooking the sea. We had a lovely room with our own pool. I would recommend getting a car if you’re staying here as it’s out of the way of Fira and oia which you must visit. The bar staff were always so inviting and kind and were happy for us to sit and play cards together in the bar in the evenings. Julia the receptionist was a lovely lady and did everything in her power to make our stay as good as it could be she was so kind and friendly (thank you so much). Regardless of all the nice things about the hotel we did have some hiccups with another receptionist who we had to go to during the day regarding some problems. Unfortunately we found a big shard of thick broken glass in the bottom of our private pool.. my partner stepped on it and luckily didn’t cut himself. As soon as we found it we emailed reception and told her what we had found. She came to our room and collected it took it back to reception then emailed us basically saying it must be our fault as no one has been in the pool since we arrived and that the pools get cleaned thoroughly twice a day.. the whole time we were there I saw a cleaner netting the pool twice within the week. We explained to her we haven’t had any glass in or near the pool nor smashed anything during our stay, she wasn’t apologetic and the situation got dismissed. Our room had wires hanging out of the walls taped up which you can see in the photos. Our tv didn’t work so we asked reception if someone could come and fix it which they kindly did at 9pm. The hairdryer I used which is provided in the bathroom worked for about 5 minutes before it no longer turned on anymore. My partner paid a lot of money to surprise me with some balloons in the room when we arrived which was a lovely touch. He was disappointed as he had paid for the most expensive one and it didn’t live up to the pictures he got emailed beforehand, he did say something to the same receptionist and she shrugged it off yet again. When leaving we checked out with the same receptionist and she didn’t ask how our stay was made no conversation and just said we need to pay our tourist tax (which we did). Once that was done there was no goodbye or anything friendly. This hotel is expensive, so we didn’t expect to have such issues we had experienced which is disappointing and could’ve been handled better in my opinion. Other than the small things we had a really nice stay and definitely recommend having your own pool with a sea view.
Wow… where do I even begin? Our stay at Goulielmos Hotel & Spa was absolutely incredible from start to finish. As our first time visiting Greece, we honestly couldn’t have chosen a better hotel. They have made our first experience so memorable, and we will 100% be returning very soon! From the moment we arrived, the management and every member of staff were incredibly attentive, kind, friendly and helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they genuinely couldn’t do enough for you. We were made to feel like family rather than guests — it really was a true home away from home. If you are looking for the ultimate relaxation holiday, this is the place. We felt completely looked after throughout our stay. They genuinely wouldn't let you lift a finger! The atmosphere is so peaceful, tranquil and relaxing, making it the perfect place to switch off and enjoy some much-needed rest. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean. Everywhere was beautifully maintained, and our room was cleaned every single day to an incredibly high standard. The room was lovely, and having our own private pool directly outside our room was an absolute luxury. There is also the beautiful hotel pool, so you really are spoilt for choice. And the views… simply stunning! Everywhere you look there is another beautiful view, and the sunsets are absolutely breathtaking. Sitting back and watching the beautiful sunset was one of the many highlights of our stay. The food deserves a special mention too. Breakfast offered an excellent choice of food, with the buffet catering for different tastes and everything being fresh and beautifully presented. We also ate at The Edge restaurant three times during our stay, and every single meal was outstanding. The food was absolutely stunning, not only in taste but also in presentation. Each dish looked like a work of art, and the quality was exceptional. We would highly recommend eating there — although be warned, you’ll probably want to eat there more than once! Room service was also fantastic, and once again, the staff went above and beyond to make everything easy and enjoyable. The welcome we received from reception was wonderful. On arrival, we were greeted with a homemade iced tea, which was absolutely delicious. The reception team also provided us with a map of the local area, recommendations on places to visit and even the local bus timetable, which was incredibly helpful when exploring the area. We also loved the little thoughtful touches, such as being provided with towels for the pools, which made everything so convenient. Even checkout was effortless. The staff were incredibly helpful with our cases and made sure everything was organised for our transfer to the airport. They even checked that our driver was on their way, which just shows the level of care and attention throughout the entire stay. It is rare to find a hotel where you genuinely feel so cared for, but Goulielmos managed to achieve exactly that. The combination of the beautiful surroundings, tranquillity, cleanliness, incredible food and, most importantly, the wonderful people made this holiday truly special. As our first visit to Greece, Goulielmos Hotel & Spa has set the bar incredibly high. We have come away with some very special memories and absolutely no hesitation in saying that we will definitely be back! A huge thank you to the entire management and staff team for making our stay so wonderful. You are all a credit to the hotel, and your warmth and kindness really do make Goulielmos feel like a home away from home. We cannot recommend Goulielmos Hotel & Spa highly enough. If you're considering staying here — book it! You won't be disappointed. 🇬🇷❤️ Thank you for an unforgettable stay — see you again very soon! 🌅✨
We have just spent a wonderful week at Goulielmos Hotel. The staff were excellent and could not have been more helpful and the views were absolutely stunning. The hotel is located just a ten minute walk from the village of Akrotiri where there are two supermarkets and several restaurants. It was a pleasant surprise to find that it was possible to purchase a litre of local wine for 15 euros in some of the tavernas! We would highly recommend Goulielmos Hotel and is great value for money.
