TripAdvisor Review
A nice hotel by the beach

We enjoyed our the time at the beach and the beach bar witch was awesome. We got a room in the anex part of the hotel that was across the street from the main hotel. The staff were awesome and kind. At night the little concert at the beach bar was very nice. Only cons were the AC in our room that was looking rough and the cars driving on the main road blasting loud music at night weren't nice. Can't blame the hotel for that though. Otherwise everything was awesome the food, beach, pools and the bars. ;)

Honest review

We have just spent a week here as a couple.

Arrival: We arrived to the hotel at around midnight and immediately were greeted in a very rude manner by one of the receptionist staff. Rather than dealing with each party individually, he talked at the 6 of us. He didn’t even put the wrist bands on our wrist he simply chucked 2 wristbands on the desk top with a pair of scissors and we had to do it ourselves, which didn’t make the greatest impression, whilst also filling in forms and having to sort the money out for the tourist tax (€10 per day per room).

We were told our room was hard to find so another staff member directed us. At no point did this staff member offer to grab any of our luggage. After a full day of travelling and it being the middle of the night, it would have been nice for some assistance.

Hotel room: Our room was the biggest let down of the holiday (1002). The mirror in the bathroom was dirty from the moment we arrived and did not get wiped once. There was a grate next to the toilet in our room and when flushed, flies would fly out of the grate. For the whole holiday we had to put the sanitary bin on top to stop them from coming out. We did report this to reception but didn’t not hear whether anything had been done about it. The shower was rarely cleaned down (there was a blob of conditioner for 4 days of our holiday on the wall). The tap in our room was all rusty with what looked like oil drips down it. On various occasions, when our room had been tidied by maids, they did not even give us 1 big duvet bed sheet. To make this worse, the 2 sheets were simply left folded up at the end of our bed for us to essentially have to make our own bed up. The bed sheets did not get changed as frequently as we would have thought, despite me getting a bit of makeup on the pillow case one day. Our curtain was also hanging down as though it had been broken previously which was a nightmare as it let light in a lot. Upon arrival we had 2 1.5 litre bottles of water. These did not get replenished until day 4, meaning we had to buy our own water. Again, for an all inclusive you’d expect water to be replaced.

On 2 occasions, the coffee cups in our room did not get cleaned. The stirrers were not replenished meaning we couldn’t have a coffee in a morning due to not having anything to stir it with.

The aircon did work very well however.

Food and drink: The bar does not have actual branded drinks. This is understandable for alcohol however, they did not even have branded fizzy drinks, again a let down as you pay a lot of money for all inclusive to not enjoy the drinks. Wait times at the pool bar were long due to what I would say minimal staffing. The crepe stand at the bar was also very long all of the time due to only 1 person working this.

In the buffet restaurant it is simply a self serve for drinks. Staff do not come around and ask for orders. The food is mediocre. There is a lot of options however a lot did not look very appealing. The pizza stand in the buffet restaurant was always empty too and did not have a continuous flow of pizzas being put out.

Cannot comment on the al a carte due to not going as the menus didn’t look too appealing.

Location: There are a few shops up the road from the hotel and it is only a 5 minute taxi to faliraki and around 25 minutes to old town.

Animation team: The animation team were great for providing entertainment and the entertainment at night was good, providing a good atmosphere. However, it is hosted at the snack bar and seats do get taken very quickly meaning if you get there later, you will have to stand up.

Pools and sunbeds: The pools are big and there are a lot of sunbeds to choose from which is good! The relaxation pool with the infinity design could do with a clean however, there is a lot of green algae buildup over the edges which I have not yet been seen cleaned.

We payed over £900 each for 1 week away here and I can unfortunately say that it is not value for money.
