The four-star Mitsis La Vita Beach Hotel is a warm beachfront city hotel in the city of Rhodes, next to the aquarium. Besides its ideal location, the hotel promises moments of relaxation, both in its 126 comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms as well as in its public spaces. The hotel offers a variety of activities and leisure choices for unforgettable holidays on the island of the Knights, as well as a series of water sports, such as water ski, jet-ski, banana boat, parasailing, pedal boats and canoes, rings, windsurfing, catamaran sailing, diving and boat trips.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Me and my husband were on a 4 night stay at Mitsis La Vita Hotel in Rhodes Town. The hotel has a pleasant atmosphere and it's location is excellent. The room layout is a bit odd but comfortable with a sea view. We would like to praise two members of staff, Molly and Mary who helped us with calling a doctor when we fell sick with some kind of virus or stomach bug and reassuring we were ok.
Positives The location is somewhat central- walkable to old town. Right next to the beach. Convenient supermarket next door. AMAZING restaurant called Elia Olive towards the back of the hotel. Defo check it out if you’re in Rhodes.
NEGATIVES Booked a room with a sea view- no sea in sight just someone’s back garden.
Bathroom is tiny, you cannot comfortably sit down on the toilet without being squished. Door doesn’t open fully because of how small it is. Tiny bathroom bin for toilet tissue.
Due to the gastroenteritis virus going around you can hear quite clearly other guests throwing up in their bathrooms. Which is disgusting.
Blood stained linen put on as “fresh sheets”
Floor is completely mucky leaving you with dirty feet when just walking barefoot in your room.
The pool is extremely tiny and does not look like the advertised photo online.
Breakfast is poor and nothing is covered despite the virus outbreak.
This hotel is not a 4*.
Location is definitely what you are paying for with this hotel! 30 second walk from the nearest beach with free sunbeds and 15 min walk into the Old Town with many restaurants and shops. Rooms were a tad small and there were limited options at breakfast but despite that they were very accommodating and kind and even upgraded us to a balcony room after we complained about construction nearby :)
We had a lovely stay at the Rhodes Mitsis La Vita. The room was a bit cramped but service throughout the hotel made up for it. Concierge services were spot on. Room was serviced and cleaned each day. Beakfast staff and bartending were wonderful. The sea was steps away and watching the sunset was the perfect end to each day.
Lovely location and hotel! Helpful staff too.
