A truly exceptional hotel that blends old-world elegance with the warmth and welcome of family. The staff are incredibly professional yet genuinely personable, making every guest feel special. This was our second year in a row, and once again, it was a holiday that kept on giving. The location is perfect—right on a beautiful, spotless beach, with 5-star service from George and his outstanding team. Whether in the hotel, the beach restaurant, or relaxing on the sand, everything was immaculate, luxurious, and friendly. Our room was a haven of classic elegance, with extremely comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast each morning was a delight, both for the menu and the attentive service. Dining at the Grand Beach Restaurant and the newly opened Grand Asian Restaurant was a highlight—superb food and great value. The surrounding area is peaceful and beautiful, with very friendly local bars—special mention to Johnny’s Bar, which felt like an extension of the hotel’s hospitality. Both the new and old town are easily accessible, offering fantastic food and a warm welcome day and night. We can’t wait to return!
My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in room 218. As we arrived when it was dark, I had pre-ordered a taxi through the hotel. On return, we took the bus, any number over 50, from the bus station, approx. every 30 minutes at about 1/8 of the cost! The journey took about 35 minutes, Check in was friendly and quick. We were in room 218.
ROOM It was predominantly blue décor with spacious, elegant furnishings comprising table, 2 seater sofa, 2 chairs, safe, desk and chair, fridge, tea/coffee, pod machine and kettle which I had requested in advance, tv, bed, huge windows with only the nets opening/closing as the blue curtains were only decorative. There was lots of storage space with hanging room, drawers and a space for cases. We had a small balcony, not big enough to sit on, with a sea view. Each bed side had a light control panel. A plate of fruit was provided, although unfortunately one of the apples was bad in the middle which one could not tell from the exterior. There was a box of 4 sweets. We were disappointed that the tea/coffee was not replenished during our stay. We had 4 Nescafe sachets, 2 teabags, 4 coffee pods and 4 milk/creams (one of these was replaced). There were tiny china cups or large, pyrex type goblets. The floor was carpeted. On 2 occasions, our room was serviced when we were at breakfast. I like it when the room is serviced early - the maids were very pleasant.
BATHROOM There was a separate toilet, bidet and basin. There was a spa bath with shower. To get in/out of the bath/shower a long wooden stool, screwed to the bath and with non slip grooves, was provided as the bath was so high. The shower worked very well, but we both had problems with water seeping on to the floor. Large dispensers of shampoo, shower gel and body lotion were provided. There were dental and sewing kits. There were many towels.
BREAKFAST This opened at 8 a.m., late for us, but there were rarely other people there at 8 a.m. Tea/coffee and cooked food were ordered. We had the Greek omelette, which was delicious. Various breads, pastries, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, jams, oil, nuts, cold meats, cheese, salads were available at the buffet. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and thought the quality and choice excellent. Service was impeccable.
OTHER COMMENTS Wifi worked well. It was about a 10 minute walk to the Old town. The public rooms of the hotel were attractively decorated with old photos. The rooms were immaculate. The casino in no way impinged on the hotel. All the staff we encountered were friendly, polite and helpful. We had a marvellous stay in the hotel and would recommend it.
What a wonderful and pretty hotel with perfect and friendly service! The rooms are in a perfect shape, very clean. The hotel is perfectly located at the beach and very close to the historical old-town of Rhodos. Enough parking spaces available.
We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of our Honeymoon. We had an amazing time, we got the best room in the hotel, which was a lovely treat. Stunning views of the ocean. The food was fantastic and the service even better. The waiters were all very friendly and always went the extra mile. We will definitely be back!
Undoubtedly the most prestigious hotel in Rhodes Town. Excellently located within a short walk of top restaurants, friendly bars and the old town. Superb rooms, a great breakfast and friendly service. My wife and I had a suite with a balcony and a stunning sea view. However, the balcony was directly above a terrace bar where residents and gamblers gathered late at night and into the early hours of the morning, with much loud conversation, making sleep difficult.. There were also several maintenance problems. After our first night we reported the fact that our toilet/shower room door would not close properly. It was never attended to. The building itself required some attention, with broken gutters and other minor problems.
