Bad experience avoid
On arrival getting booked in, on entering our room it was like entering the one that they forgot to renovate. Very shabby, dated, paint peeling, half the electrics didn’t work, safe didn’t have a key and if it did you could of lifted it and carried it out the room as wasn’t bolted down. After first night we were moved to another room in the same category of deluxe swim up. This room on first appearance seemed better but after the first night there were a few small bugs (cockroaches) in the room, the toilet was failing with the cistern not filling and it draining into the pan which eventually completely failed on the second side the toilet partially detaching from the wall, due to it being a non pedestal toilet it could of ended up with on of us on the floor. The air-con was very antiquated and didn’t work so we had to have the ground floor! Open and got bitten to death. The icing on the cake at 4am when my husband got up to use the bathroom there was the biggest cockroach in the bathroom that we have ever seen 30mm at least which he caught (see photo) George on reception was the rudest, unhelpful, unfriendly and obnoxious man. We turned to our holiday company “Love Holidays “ who tried to communicate with George with no luck so we were relocated to The White Olive to a suit all inclusive. Love holidays saved the day avoid Eagles Nest there are a lot of other better hotels in Pefkos that would also be closer to the beach.
Great views and pool and staff
Very nice hotel and location. The pool is probably the cleanest I have ever seen. Room cleaning is very good. We did have a problem with the room, however the staff solved the problem while we had breakfast. Breakfast buffet is great, even fresh squeesed orange juice is included. Now some points to improve: the shower glass wall needs to be relocated. Now the water that hits the wall goes on the bathroom floor. I noticed that one couple actually change hotel because of that. There are many things that are functional, but look bad, are worn or corroded. However, they are by Greek standards, but not by most modern countries. If you understand this, there is no problem.

Please please do not waste your money on this hotel it’s actually bog standard and no one seems to care. The rooms are awful the bathrooms even worse the smells is horrendous. I didn’t even have a wardrobe to hang clothes fridge leaking water everywhere food was inedible no tea or coffee available. And as for the pool it was like jumping into bottle of bleach. The hotel is so run down it should not be advertised. Pefkos is beautiful and I will be back just to a better hotel.
Worst hotel I have experienced
Worst hotel I have experienced, no bar, no catering other than a barely edible breakfast, appears to have staff shortages, worrying cleaning issues, water supply intermittent, no upkeep, goats enjoying the pool, fly infestations and ants every where...wifi doesn't work ...walk away !!!

Lies and scamming
We paid around £1,200 for five nights, including paying extra for a swim-up room. When we arrived, we were told the room we had actually booked wasn’t available.
The room they offered us instead was disgusting. There were ants, mould and rust, and we have photos and videos of the condition. This was especially concerning as one of us is immunocompromised. We weren’t prepared to stay somewhere like that after paying that amount of money, so we left and had to pay thousands of pounds for another hotel.
What has happened since is even more shocking.
After we disputed the situation with Loveholidays after arriving home and asked for our money back, the hotel have now made allegations that we had been aggressive, attempted to physically assault staff several times and that law enforcement/police was involved in removing us from the hotel.
This absolutely did not happen whatsoever and we have a plethora of evidence.
We left voluntarily and have evidence to prove how we left, including evidence of the private transfer to the nearby hotel we moved to. We also have other guests who witnessed what actually happened and are willing to provide statements.
It is extremely concerning that these allegations have appeared after we disputed the accommodation and sought a refund - these false allegations are now being used as a reason to avoid refunding us for accommodation that wasn’t provided as booked.
If we supposedly attempted to assault somebody and had to be removed with the involvement of law enforcement, where is the evidence?
We have asked for the CCTV and evidence supporting these claims. So far, we have not been provided with CCTV showing this alleged incident. We also want to see evidence of the claimed law-enforcement/police involvement. Surely if this was the case, we wouldn't have been able to be transported and check into another hotel a matter of minutes later?
We are not going to accept extremely serious allegations being made about us without evidence simply because we complained about accommodation that wasn’t what we paid for.
We are now taking legal advice and looking at legal action regarding the money we have lost and the way this matter has been handled. Eagles Nest - you had every opportunity to refund us however these allegations are entirely unacceptable.
All we originally wanted was the accommodation we had paid for or a fair resolution when it couldn’t be provided. Instead, we’ve ended up thousands of pounds out of pocket and accused of allegations that we completely deny.
Think very carefully before booking. Keep photographs, videos and records of absolutely everything if you have a problem. Not only is the hotel disgusting and scamming tourists, they like to make up false allegations to be able to further scam tourists out of refunds.
