This hotel has a spectacular setting of nature and history for its distinctive accommodation: it nestles within the high above the ancient Lindos Acropolis and offers a panorama of the Aegean Sea and distant coastline. Adapting the early 17th century Lindian architecture, this Lindos luxury hotel is uniquely enriched with an array of detail throughout hand carved stone facades, elaborate carved woodwork, hand-painted ceramics, as well as decorative painted ceilings. Massive stone walls support the guests' private terraces paved with pebble mosaics. On terraces overlooking the Aegean and the distant coastline, the twelve suites of hotel share the same traditional 17th century style. However, each room has an individual ambiance, depending upon its size and orientation within the complex. The suites contain luxurious mattresses which are set on large traditional Lindian raised wooden platforms. Specially executed hand-painted ceilings and ceramic panels, old carved village doors, mother-of-pearl inlay furniture and mirror frames, marble mosaic floors, combine with luxury items and natural bath amenities. By 2007 the combination of all these unique aspects, led this Hotel to become a member of prestigious Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

Stunning family run hotel & villa
Four of us (2 adults 2 children) stayed in Melenos Villa, one other family member stayed in the main hotel. We all had such a lovely stay, the staff are faultless, so attentive, anything we needed was sorted immediately such as needing beach towels, Georgia was so helpful. Such a lovely family run hotel everything is original and immaculate, so clean, and everything you need is there in both villa and hotel. The air con in all rooms were modern and worked perfectly. Beds were comfortable, the villa has a huge living room with TV and beautiful furniture, was like stepping back in time. The villa has a huge terrace which is perfect for dinning and chilling out on, watching the world go by looking at Lindos main beach. The views are stunning from both areas and every window including the shower room downstairs in the villa. Breakfast was included and was enjoyed very much by all! Lindos main beach is only a short walk away but would recommend the smaller beach which is a bit quieter and cheaper sun beds at 20E for the day. The hotel provides golf buggies to escort you from Lindos square to the hotel/villa when you arrive/leave and you can also book these at a small charge if need a lift somewhere in the village via reception. We had hired a car and parked in the main Lindos car park where the buggies picked us up they charge 7E per day. The village shops are also short walk away with a supermarket. We held our intimate wedding at the villa and it was perfect. Our wedding planner, Chrysanthi, was amazing and made everything so relaxed considering they have not held a wedding at the villa previously. What a backdrop for our vows! We would highly recommend staying here and we will return for an anniversary!!
Beautiful hotel
Great quiet location away from the fray of Lindos, yet walkable to the town sites and restaurants. Very accommodating professional staff. Beautiful authentic rooms with unique decor to historic Rhodes. Outdoor spaces were lovely! Even packed a breakfast for us when we were missing it due to our flight. They also assisted with taking us to and from our parked car! Lovely property!

The perfect wedding venue
We recently had our wedding at Melenos hotel and it was truly one of the most special places we’ve ever stayed. The entire team worked so seamlessly together and nothing was ever too much trouble.
From Chrysanthi, who worked closely with our wedding planners to coordinate everything perfectly, to Georgia on reception who went above and beyond for us throughout our stay, every single member of staff made us feel so looked after. The breakfast team and housekeeping staff were also incredible- always warm, friendly and attentive, and they helped make the whole experience feel effortless from start to finish.
The hotel itself is such a unique, beautiful and quaint venue. There is beauty and so many thoughtful, unique touches everywhere you look, and the setting is absolutely breathtaking, with the most incredible views over Lindos. Sitting on the terraces looking out over the view is so peaceful and tranquil. From the moment we stepped foot in the hotel to view it we knew it was the perfect place to host our wedding.
Having exclusive use of the hotel for three days with our closest friends and family made it even more special. It felt like our own little corner of paradise for the entire stay, and being able to take over all 12 rooms made it feel so intimate and relaxed.
We couldn’t recommend Melenos highly enough for anyone considering a wedding or special stay in Lindos. It exceeded every expectation and will always hold such a special place in our hearts. We know we will be visiting again for many years to come.

Fabulous stay in this Moorish-style palace with rooms lovingly re-created in traditional Lindian style! Warm welcome from Georgia as we were part of the hotel family! The hotel is ideally located halfway between the Lindos Acropolis and the village, with easy access to the beaches, and with a panoramic view on the breathtaking bay. Top rating without reservation!!!
The Perfect Experience
When you step into this hotel, you’re stepping back into time. This place is magical. It has a beautiful view of the bay. The is absolutely divine. The location is amazing and the rooms are spectacular. I can’t say enough about this hotel. This is the second year a row. I’ve stayed here. A special thank you to Georgia, the hotel concierge. She is so knowledgeable of the island and the city of Lindos. This is a must if you are staying on the island of Rhodes.
