This is our second time staying at this hotel, and once again we had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome and comfortable. The hotel has a beautiful atmosphere, and our room was comfortable and thoughtfully arranged. Having a private pool was definitely one of the highlights of our stay and made the experience feel even more special and relaxing. The dining experience was truly exceptional. The main restaurant offers a beautiful buffet with a great variety of delicious options. The fine dining restaurant “Thalatta” was absolutely outstanding, with beautifully presented and delicious dishes. We were impressed by the quality and attention to detail throughout both dining experiences. The service was exceptional throughout our stay. The reception team was incredibly welcoming and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed and going above and beyond to assist us whenever necessary. We truly appreciated the personal care and attention we received.
We had such a lovely time and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!
Gorgeous hotel with a great location a short taxi drive into Lindos which is beautiful. Hotel and staff were lovely. Loved our private pool and the bed was comfy and spacious.
5th time in rhodes by far the best hotel I have been to ! Pleasant hospitality and great facilities, good breakfast and very clean as well . It’s deserved to these words
My stay at the Lindos Grand was nothing short of fantastic! First off, the staff at this hotel are sensational, particularly on reception! They’re really helpful, supportive and have a fantastic sense of humour, so that was a genuinely amazing first impression of the hotel!
I was given a complimentary upgrade upon arrival which was very much appreciated. The room itself was beautiful, really spacious, clean and had all the things you need for a great holiday. The body wash, soaps and shampoos have got to be one of the best smelling I’ve ever used in a hotel and made my skin feel amazing! I wish there was a way you could buy it, as it’s sooo good!! Plus the bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept really well, the entire holiday!
Even though the room I was upgraded to was as a “garden view” it was at the side of the hotel, so I got a garden view, sea view and Mountain View all in one! So the balcony was a lovely place to spend a bit of time. You get a complimentary 1L bottle of water in the room, as well as a bottle of wine! Room service brings around fresh bottles of water (2x 500ml) and some little sesame snacks each evening!
I was on the bed & breakfast package and I found the breakfast to be of good quality and with loads of choice! I had the buffet dinner a couple of evenings, and although it’s a bit pricey (€40 per person - excluding drinks) the food was really nice and again, had a really good selection, including vegan options! Room service food and the food at the hotels restaurants downstairs (and by the pool) is also really nice and comes to you quickly, so no complaints here!
The pool area is stunning, a massive infinity pool and nice trees in between sunbeds (which are sooo comfortable) means it’s a lovely place to spend the day! There’s also plenty of sunbeds to go round, I’m not an early-riser and I never struggled to find one, even between 11am-3pm (typically busy times) there was always a couple of spare ones around, so no need to worry about that! You’ve also got the option of bed-side service for food and drinks by scanning the QR code, which is lovely when you’re comfy and relaxed!
The beach is lovely too! Crystal clear waters leading to a pebbled beach. The hotel has its own section of sunbeds and umbrellas for guests to use free of charge, and again, these are lovely and comfortable! Never had an issue finding one either. The beach is made up of small little pebbles so it’s not difficult (or painful) to walk over them. There’s also a lovely little “banana beach bar” down there which does good food and drinks, has friendly staff and is well shaded, so that’s a good spot to sit with a drink or something to eat.
The “sky bar” is next to the fine dining restaurant, and while the space is beautiful and offers some fantastic views over the bay and hillsides, it does feel like it could use a tad more “oomph” as it’s in a fairly large space, with not that much going on, like it was missing something? But still a nice and comfy place to have a couple of drinks
My ONLY gripe with the hotel, was that some sort of a service lorry (either water or sewage) came and went several times on the first couple of the days I was staying, and the engine/pump noise, combined with the flashing orange lights when it got dark was quite annoying.
Other than that literally one thing, this hotel is a fabulous place for a holiday and I’d recommend it to anyone! I’ll definitely be back!
I booked this gorgeous looking hotel on a whim and over the months seen some not so promising reviews ….I shouldn’t have worried. We had an amazing 5 nights. Our accommodation helped as it was just superb. We had a beautiful high up view of the beach, sea and mountains, an absolutely gorgeous spacious modern corner junior suite and a wrap around pool, very private. A little climb up but golf buggy’s on hand from reception that took us up on our late arrival with cases. Treated liked VIPS. We arrived when there were all the twinkling lights of the bay and mountain villas, we had a complimentary bottle of red and even though just gone 1 am we couldn’t help but sit on the huge terrace beside our pool and enjoy a glass. Breakfast each morning was plentiful, clean well organised and a huge choice. My husband had no issues what so ever in getting coffees, the very smiley waiters/waitresses were always on hand, this was not an issue ever. Also you don’t pay for eggs (as another review suggested) perhaps if you wanted one of the choices from the card on the table yes you did, but with the choice available there was no need. The infinity pool is inviting, same depth all around , no diving as standing height, beautiful backdrop. We would spend the first half the day in the sun of our own pool then come down at about 3 to the main pool and never an issue getting a lounger by the pool, other than one afternoon we sat at the back towards the breakfast area , I felt a little out the way there and there was also some noise which I found annoying. But loungers around the main pool were always becoming free in the afternoon so we moved on. On our last day coming down at 12 there were no loungers and the bar manager without hesitation came up and said use one of the four poster day beds, we thought this was very good rationale sense and it was so appreciated, very good thought and service on his behalf. That has to be said for all the staff, from reception, to buggy drivers to the waitresses around pool. Very smiley and seemed happy. The only one time I had any disgruntled tone was from the guy at the bar when I went up to ask for a couple of drinks. He had no time for me and told me to order from the sunbed only which we had been doing but I wanted to ask for a drink that wasn’t in the app. Anyway that put me off going up again. I would say the pool area is lacking an outdoor bar and toilet area. To the side of the breakfast area seems to be a good space unused much of the day, that could prove to be a good area for a bar under the shade and with a few comfortable seats, big bean bags or something. We find you get a great vibe from an outdoor bar, hearing cocktail shakers and speaking to the bar tenders is something we enjoy but their bar was hidden inside and had no vibe. There is music on in background around pool it isn’t dead silent and being avid music and Ibiza goers even in our 50’s we didn’t expect louder music here anyway. Also would be great to get beach towels by the pool and not have to go all the way down to the spa and go inside when sometimes still wet for the toilet. There is a shop opposite reception, well stocked and we bought a bottle of wine every day and waters to go in our room fridge and ice creams. The maid also came around to our room with small waters every evening. Taxis usually arrived fairly quickly, only one night was there a wait and that was a Sunday. Reception order them and give you a ticket with a number. The drivers do like to know the number. Taxi drivers also do like cash and we found Lindos town also did , although shops restaurants did also take card payments but the taxi drivers said cash was king! Which is unusual most places now. Our room had comfy padded loungers on the terrace but like other reviewers no where at all to hang anything wet yet there is lots of room along the dividing wall for a modern rail, this could easily be fixed. I would say there were two main grumbles which I hate to make, luckily one didn’t affect us much but would be very disruptive for others….. there was a blue sewage tanker that came in almost every hour that parks beside the reception around a corner and seemingly pumps out the waste. It is noisey and sometimes as we walked past smelly. It only really affected us when we sat at the back of the pool area, you could hear the droning even through headphones. There are swim up pool rooms all around this area too and it was a vast contrast from our glorious outlook. You could see the truck from the distance of our room too and hear it but not to any same degree as the lower rooms. The other thing is the outlook of the huge area between the hotel and the sea. Its hopefully work in progress but this area needs some work and a thought out design with care. Where we were ,the grass was being mowed and plenty of colourful floral bushes and vegetation but this can’t be said for the walk down to the beach. There could be some nice hedging along the path, palms and so on but it’s just dried old patchy grass. Also the pool rooms along there have little privacy at all because of this lack of vegetation. It’s a shame but I have every hope it’s purely down to cost and there are plans for the area. All in all our stay was just wonderful and I really hate to write anything negative as we were treated like VIPS, I could have cried when walking into our room as it was just so stunning. Thank you and to your staff who work very hard indeed. We would defo be back if we could have a choice of room.
