Lindos Grand Resort and Spa

We stayed on a half board booking, taking an upgraded room with a private pool in mid July 2026.

We checked in quite late, to find pleasant and friendly staff ready to help us. Our bags were taken to our room and some food was brought to us because the restaurant was closed, which was a nice touch.

We were allocated room 4001. It was impressive in size, with large patio-style doors leading out to a big balcony, loungers and the private plunge pool.

We had expected a lot from the website and photos and the room itself looked good. However, we were disappointed to find that our room overlooked the car park and roadway that not only split the hotel, but was also shared with the Lindos Royal next door. This meant that we had regular coaches, cars, scooters, electric carts and so on passing by our room. The noise was something we're not used to, especially coupled with the fact that one of the drain covers in the car park was loose so every single vehicle that passed over it clattered it with a loud crash.

There didn't seem to be a lot of sound insulation in the room because the noise from the drain cover was fairly loud, as was the traffic noise. On more than one night, my wife was woken several times by coach traffic and other holidaymakers making noise whilst either exiting or getting on said coaches.

The room was also directly above the supermarket. To be fair, we heard absolutely no noise from that and it was reasonably handy to just nip downstairs for supplies. But it's not quite the idyllic setting one imagines.

The room itself looked good, but we found some minor gripes.
Firstly, there was hardly any storage space. There's no wardrobe, just a rail hanging over the tea/coffee mini bar area, so your clothes are hanging out in the open. There's also very little drawer space - for a 2 week break, we had one large drawer each to put our clothes and a box unit to put shoes in. In my opinion, that wasn't enough and it seemed that the (large) room just wasn't laid out very well. There was a seperate area in the room with a sofa and coffee table (presumably that could be converted to another bed) This seemed a waste considering 99% of the people in this adults-only hotel were couples and I would have put more storage in there.

The furniture was a little chipped and well used. The door handle to our bathroom was partially held together and couldn't actually be used as there was no latch. The toilet was hit-and-miss in that sometimes it would run constantly when refilling.

Water was provided on the first day, but then not again. But conversely, a bottle of red wine was also supplied (we didn't drink it so can't verify if it was replenished) At this price point, I'd expect a bottle of water daily.

Location-wise, the hotel is in Lindos bay, which is very beautiful. However, be aware that it's very hilly and Lindos Bay has only 1 or 2 restaurants, plus a beach bar. There's no plethora of restaurants or bars to choose from if you wish to get out of the hotel. To do that, one has to take a taxi to Lindos or another village nearby, which is easy to organise and we did on a couple of occasions, albeit paying €15 each way for the privilege.

In terms of good points, there are many:

The food in the restaurant was very good for a buffet-service, if a little random sometimes. Although, I also believe that water should be offered at dinner complimentary, but here it wasn't.

The shower in the room was excellent, the bed was comfortable and the aircon excellent.

The hotel looks very good, with an instagram-worthy infinity pool, modern furnishings and pleasant grounds. We used the speciality Asian restaurant one evening and found the food to be excellent, with good portions and varied from the buffet restaurant as one would hope.

The staff were all super-friendly and helpful. It was my wife's birthday in our second week and a very pleasant cake was sent to our room, along with a bottle of fizz and our housekeeper made a nice fuss of towel arrangements, etc - which was a nice touch.

So, not a bad experience and one shouldn't think this hotel is awful as it isn't.

Our room location was disappointing - we could have asked to move, but we got the sun for most of the day on our balcony and we always intended to use the privacy (indeed, we never used the main pool) and we were fearful of getting another room with shade all day.
Nothing else we experienced was show-stopping....it was just a little disappointing at this price level.

What a wonderful holiday in an extremely well run establishment! The quality of the setting and facilities was matched by the real quality of the staff- they couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly! We’d go back here in a heartbeat!

We have just returned from the most incredible holiday experience of our lives at the Lindos Grand Resort and Spa. From the moment we arrived until the second we left, the hospitality was flawless, and absolutely nothing was too much trouble for the incredible staff. This was a highly anticipated trip as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The resort went above and beyond to make us feel special, treating my wife and me to spectacular service and a beautiful birthday cake celebration. The level of care and attention to detail here is genuinely unmatched. A week into our stay, our adult children came to join us. The management team went completely out of their way to arrange rooms and place them right next to us. It is rare to find a resort that handles guest requests with such seamless grace and genuine warmth. As for the resort itself, the facilities are second to none. Everything is immaculately maintained, modern, and designed for ultimate relaxation. The onsite restaurants are equally spectacular, delivering world-class dining and exceptional flavors every single night. If you are looking for a flawless, luxury getaway where you are treated like royalty, look no further. Finally, to the porter who kindly took me from and to my car each day, to the assistant finding us a seat by the pool, to the Joanne, the sweet young lady who knew our coffee order off by heart each morning. We cannot thank the team enough for making our special celebrations so unforgettable. We will absolutely be returning!
