We had the best time at the wonderful Lindos blu hotel. The staff was amazing and so incredibly helpful. The room was beautiful with the most amazing views and every amenity. Breakfast and every meal we had was absolutely delicious. We can’t wait to return to this gorgeous hotel.
Superb staff.
Lovely views and setting, very comfortable room, the bed was sublime.
We spent most of our daytimes at the beach, you can walk down but it’s very steep, there is both a lift (from Lindos Mare) and a buggy, with call buttons at both the top and bottom of the hill.
The sun loungers are incredibly comfortable.
Breakfast is served in Smeraldo - cold buffet and bakery are both excellent, was less thrilled with the hot buffet but there were plenty of alternatives, and eggs are also freshly cooked to order (but the queue can sometimes be a bit long.)
The buffet in Smeraldo is very good value, and there is also an à la carte option there every night - more daily specials really with one option for each course, and these can be mixed and matched with the buffet. Our one grumble about dinner in Smeraldo was that we would have liked to have seen more classic Greek options available every evening as a matter of course.
5 Senses has a very calm setting but was rather too sheltered from the breeze, and as there were only two other tables taken on the evening we were there it was a bit lacking in atmosphere. Service also wasn’t quite on the money - the highly recommended rosé - which we were persuaded to have instead of the one we had initially chosen - arrived at the table at room temperature and had to be whisked away to chill for 10 minutes. Not what you would expect from a restaurant of this calibre. However, service was charming, the food was delicious and, as you might expect in a fine dining restaurant, you are served amuse buches first, so skip the first course ( or order two starters) if you don’t have a big appetite.
The staff were all wonderful and it’s hard to pick out anyone in particular, but the reception team are all incredibly helpful and pleasant to deal with, Johanna and Sarah run a very slick service in the main bar, and Spiri is a delight in Smeraldo.
The final word has to go to Caterina in the shop - she is super helpful and charming but not in a schmoozy way, and was sensible in her recommendations. The shop is remarkably good value for a hotel store, has beautiful beach cover ups, clutch bags etc, as well as essentials like sun cream and hats.
We will be going back, just yet to decide when.
The experience at the hotel begins with a warm welcome from Mr. Nikos Triantafyllakis, where we then went to the Ala Carte five senses restaurant. We have eaten in many Michelin-awarded restaurants and have experienced all the cuisines in the world, the experience we had and tasted at the Ala Carte five senses restaurant with my husband was simply unique. Let me mention the wonderful service, the magnificent view, the flavors of the dishes that were in a separate category. There is no comparison. An integral part of the experience was Mr. Rene who constantly looked after us and Mr. George who helped us with the choice of food and wine. Thankful for giving us the opportunity to live an unforgettable experience.
Our fifth year of return but many other guests have attended for longer periods which shows a consistent attention to service and detail. Any requests are dealt with efficiently and pleasantly adding to an enjoyable and memorable stay which went all too quickly. Congratulations to all members of staff. P and K
What can I say? Stayed here for a week and this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Superb staff, food and location. Not to mention the views. Spend a bit more and you get this superb place.
