What a gem of a hotel! Please go and see for yourself, how lovely this hotel is. My friend and I have just returned after a fabulous week of blue skies, mountain views, sunshine and great holiday vibes. The food and drink are varied and fresh each day, with plenty of choice, and don't get me started on the most delicious poolside gyros and pizza! We enjoyed some silly fun in the water park and lazy river, aqua gym, bingo, karaoke and quiz, and the fire show was spectacular. The staff were warm and welcoming and the maintenance staff and housekeeping team do a great job. I cannot praise this hotel enough. Only problem I had was getting in and out of the msin pool sometimes, and perhaps a new set of steps with extra rungs would help anyone who needs that extra bit of support. Apart from that, we had the perfect holiday. Thank you.
We arrived very early hours of Saturday morning. Sandwich, fruit and water available when we arrived and we were shown to our room. The room was perfect for our family very happy with it. We went to the main bar which is where we met Elita, my sweetheart you and some others made our stay. The staff at this hotel are AMAZING....I am sorry I can't remember everyone's names but all the bar staff were happy smiling, singing and great soundtrack, remembered what we liked to drink and just so hard working. The resturant staff same again. The lovely gentleman on reception was so amazing at helping me book out beach hopping trip which was FAB. St Paul's bay is a must and go to Alex's on the beach...you are treated like royalty, we were seated right by the sea and anything food or drinks they would make sure you didn't move a muscle. Mike taxi driver from Canada what a gentleman you are. Your pools are clean, so many sunbeds never had to fight to get one. The beach is 7 min walk small stony beach pretty. Thank you to all the chef's in the main resutrant beautiful varied food. The entertainment staff Alex and team you work so hard round the clock how you all keep smiling while dealing with some harder customers hats off to you. Now one man for me was a sweetheart. I am sorry I can't write your name in English but the Gyros chef....I like to learn a few words to say please and thankyou but this gentleman spent time explaining how to order a greek gyros with chips and OMG they are delicious (which is why I have put on 7lbs lol) Thank you to each and everyone one of you the amazing cleaners, groundsman, bar staff, Waitress, chefs, reception, shop ladies....all the bus drivers, taxi drivers, boat tour guides amazing holiday. Love and thanks from Kim, Paul and Seth xxxx
Amazing food, excellent selection. In remote location, beach about 6-7 minutes walk. Beach is very rocky but water is very clean and warm. Staff is very friendly . Overall amazing experience. Water park is good, but not enough rings. Thank you everyone at Olive Garden for making our stay pleasant!
We have just spent 10 days at The Olive Garden as a family of 4. Two boys, age 6 and 9. We have had a fantastic holiday.
The hotel is not luxurious but the staff are fantastic and the pools and waterpark are great for the kids. Special mention to Ankit in the crepe Pool Bar, Artjon in the main restaurant, Carlo in the main pool bar, Mamma Pizza and Papa Gyros. Really couldn’t do enough to help and super lovely with the kids! The room cleaner also worked tirelessly from before we got up until late in the evening.
Our 9yr old made lots of friends quickly and the hotel and pool felt safe and well supervised for them to play independently. We chose this hotel knowing there wasn’t an extensive entertainment programme as this suited us - we find too many options makes our already crazy boys over stimulated.
We preferred the pool furthest from the reception building for our 6yr old. It is calm and quiet.
Our room (316) was directly above reception. It seemed to have been fitted out recently and was beautifully clean and very comfortable. It was small for the 4 of us but no problem as we were hardly there. It was close to the road but very quiet. We could log on to our Disney+ and Netflix accounts from their smart TV. We have spoken to a lot of families who have said their rooms were very dated and the aircon isn’t great so I think the rooms vary a lot.
The best thing for us about the hotel is that there seem to be lots of like minded families here. The children have been really well behaved and parents are always looking out for them.
It would have been amazing to have been on the beach but we have wondered to the nearest beach in the evenings and spent a day at Lee Beach in Pefkos which was brilliant!
We also went to Lindos one evening as it felt too hot to do any sightseeing in the day. It was really beautiful and we had dinner on a rooftop with beautiful views of the castle. The meal was really reasonably priced. £82 for the 4 of us.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for good family fun with very few frills.
We’ve just come back from our stay at Olive Garden and honestly, we had such a lovely holiday. I’d seen a few mixed/negative reviews before we went, which did make me a little nervous, but I’m really glad we went because our experience was nothing like some of the reviews I’d seen.
The kids absolutely loved it. The pools and waterpark were a massive hit and kept them entertained, and they especially loved the kids’ disco. We stayed near the second pool, which was actually a great spot for us, with the bar there serving crêpes something the kids were very happy about!
The staff deserve a massive shout-out. Every member of staff we came across was amazing, friendly, helpful and always working hard. The cleaners in particular worked tirelessly and our room was cleaned every single day. You could really see how hard everyone worked to keep the resort running.
There was pool entertainment during the day for both adults and kids, which was good fun. The evening entertainment was probably the one area we felt could have been better. There wasn’t loads on every night, although what they did put on was good bingo, quizzes etc. The fire show was absolutely fantastic though and definitely one of the highlights.
The food was okay. There was a decent choice, although we did eat out a couple of times during our stay just for a change. We certainly never struggled to find something to eat.
Our room was really good too. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We had plenty of space for the four of us and the air conditioning was definitely appreciated in the Greek heat! The room was cleaned every day and the cleaners did a brilliant job, always coming in and leaving everything fresh and tidy. We had no issues with the room at all and were really happy with it.
The location is something to be aware of. It is a little out of the way, so if you want to be right amongst shops and restaurants, this probably isn't the place for you. But for us, that wasn't a problem. Pefkos and Lindos are easily accessible by bus or taxi, and Lardos village is around a 20–25 minute walk away, or just a short taxi ride. It was nice and quiet after 11pm, not much noise where we stayed.
Overall, we absolutely loved our holiday. Rhodes itself is beautiful and we loved getting out and exploring as well as having lazy pool days at the hotel.
Would we come back? Absolutely.
Thank you to all the staff at Olive Garden for making our holiday so enjoyable. You work incredibly hard and it really does show. We came away with some brilliant memories and would happily return to Rhodes and Olive Garden again.
