Best All Inclusive !
The food was far better then all my previous All Inclusive vacations! The staff was incredible friendly. They deserve lots of credits being so friendly all days from morning-afternoon-evening. So I would highly recommend Lydia Maris as your vacation destination.
Also Kolymbia area is closevto lots of nice things; it's 35 min. from Airport, 35 min. from Rhodos City, 30 min from Farma Petting Zoo, 25 min. from Butterfly park, 11 min. from Seven Springs.
We recently stayed at Lydia Maris and wouldn’t rate it as a 5-star hotel – it’s much closer to a 3-star experience.
On arrival, we were told our room had been double booked, so we were moved to another room and told we had been upgraded to one with a private pool. The following morning, however, we were asked to move again, this time to a room without a pool that felt like a downgrade and had a noticeable ant problem. There was no apology and found the reception staff to be rude and unhelpful.
The rooms themselves were cleaned every day and housekeeping did a great job.
The standout part of the hotel was definitely the food and hospitality team. There was an excellent selection at every meal, with plenty of variety and everything we tried was delicious. The hospitality team were exceptional, and a special mention goes to the chefs behind the scenes who worked incredibly hard throughout our stay.
The entertainment team were also fantastic – friendly and enthusiastic. The only downside was that the entertainment lacked variety.
The facilities were very good, and the hotel was kept spotlessly clean, including the pool area. One issue was the number of guests reserving sunbeds first thing in the morning and then disappearing for most of the day.
The location is excellent, with a bus stop directly outside the hotel providing easy access to popular destinations such as Rhodes Old Town and Lindos. Taxis, however, are very expensive.
Just had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for an All Inclusive family holiday in peak season.
The stay was very good, the staff were incredibly nice and engaging and a credit to the hotel.
The food was good with plenty of variety and provided something for everyone.
The local amenities left something to be desired, and it is incredibly expensive to get anywhere, the taxi’s know how to charge! This is definitely the worst part of the holiday.
In contrast what made this holiday special was the animation team, led by Gustavo who is a real credit to the hotel. Gustavo and the team were funny and put in good entertainment throughout the day and on an evening.
I couldn’t praise Gustavo and team more!
The entertainment team are amazing. Gustavo keeps the customers entertained. Would highly recommend. First time at this hotel and would definitely return. Fun fun fun
We stayed here for 7 days as a family of 3, 2 adults and an 8 year old.
The hotel is really nice, its not massive and has a cosy relaxed feel to it. We arrived at 11.30pm after a long day of travelling and were handed 3 packed lunches on our arrival which was much appreciated.
We spent the first couple of days around the pool. The pool is large and isnt to deep at any point and there's plenty of shade available if required. If you want a sunbed right next to the pool you'd have to have your towels down by 6.45, if you were happy being on the grass a bit further back then before 9.00.
The restaurant food is ok, very repetitive and not a great deal of choice...... the food is probably what let's it down from being a 5 star in my opinion.
The staff are friendly, room was always clean. Entertainment staff are excellent anr⁷d are always up to something....... you'll here the word sabotage a lot from Gustavo!
The surrounding area....... theres a strip about a 2 minute walk away which has a few Greek restaurants, some fast food joints, shops and bars...... we ate out a couple of times in the Greek restaurants and the food was superb. We also went to the beach which is a 5 minute walk, there were plenty of fish that you could see in the shallows.
We did 2 day trips. Firstly we booked a pirate boat trip through tui. This was aimed at the younger ones and our 8 year old loved it, there were 3 swim stops and plenty of coastline to see along the way. We also went to Faliraki water park which we booked ourselves..... tickets were £75 for the 3 of us and taxis were £30 each way...... there is a free bus service from outside the hotel to the water park but in 40 degree heat we wanted to travel with a bit of air con! The water park was well worth the money!
All in all we enjoyed our stay at lydia maris and Rhodes is great, we'd definitely come back to the island again
