- Kolymbia Bay Art

The Kolymbia Bay Art Hotel was totally renovated in 2021 and 2023 oriented to become the Boutique Hotel of Kolymbia. The current result is a combination of modern materials, decoration and art. Ideally located within walking distance from the centre of Kolymbia, our Hotel is perfect to step out and explore the area and visit a variety of popular restaurants, shops and local attractions.
Famous as the best Resort of the island, Kolymbia is exactly between Rhodes city and Lindos (25km from each). The best beaches of the Island (Afandou, Kolymbia and Tsambika) are just a few minutes’ drive.
Our place is a small size 4 star Bed and Breakfast Hotel. Our path of hospitality is oriented on personalized service and top-quality meals in contrast with massive All Inclusive resorts. Additionally, our “Adults – only” philosophy translates into pure romance from the moment you arrive!
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Very disappointing experience. The staff, especially the older gentleman and the lady at the reception in the mornings, were consistently unfriendly and rarely greeted guests.
The room had mold/dampness issues and insects, which is unacceptable for any hotel. To make matters worse, we were charged €70 at checkout, but the receipt states “Accommodation” rather than tourist tax, raising serious questions about this fee. By the way, you can’t smoke OUTSIDE at their tables.
We have photos and documentation and will be reporting these issues to the relevant authorities. This was the worst stay we have ever had in Greece and we would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Me and my partner had a lovely stay here for 4 nights. All staff were super friendly especially breakfast, food and bar staff. Really relaxing atmosphere. We had a swim up room which was amazing and well cleaned daily. We ordered room service a couple of the nights, and it was great! And really reasonably priced. There is also a shop right next to the hotel that has anything you would need. The only thing I would mention which is not the fault of the hotel, is there is a new hotel being built right opposite but we had no issues with noise.
Overall a great experience!
When we checked in it was quite late and we did have a few issues with the rooms we were allocated but Denise on reception got this sorted very quickly and we did manage to be reallocated 2 different rooms and pretty much all sorted.
Its the staff that definitely make this hotel so a shout out to Tania, Michel, Vagia, Lisa, Denise, Chrisa & Alekos (think thats correct) as they all went above and beyond to help and make our holiday that little bit extra special.
Rooms - Probably not quite as good as they look in the photos but generally clean and tidy. We hired a swim up room on our last day which was €45 for the day and well worth it as we had a late flight. You can also keep your existing room for €50 so the swim up one made more sense. You have a Kettle, Fridge & Iron in your room which is what most people tend to ask about
Pool & Pool Bar - Pool area was lovely and generally quiet, easy to get a sunbed too throughout the day, probably helped by some people having a swim up room. The pool bar was great and the food was really good too! Michel, Tania & Lisa were always friendly and happy to chat to everyone.
Hotel Restaurant - Breakfast was fantastic and plenty to choose from. Also good Gluten Free options which our friend needed and they accommodated it well. We also ate in the restaurant a couple of nights and again the food was fantastic and service brilliant by Vagia & Michail
Area - There is a little shop attached which is owned by the hotel and sells everything you could need and reasonably priced too. Dont be put off by the hotel being built opposite either, we rarely noticed any noise or dust or anything so definitely not an issue. It's about a 15 minute walk to Eucalyptus Street which is the Main Street with the bars, shops & restaurants although there arent that many restaurants really but the ones there are very good.
Kolymbia - Its only a small resort so not too much going on but a nice place to chill out and go out for a few drinks and meals etc - definitely not a party place. The beach nearest the hotel (Behind the hotel being built) isnt the best as its very pebbly and not very wide, also as the hotel is being built its not the best feeling at the moment
The family have also just opened a new hotel nearby - The Landmark Villas & Spa, and we had a visit there one day as you can use their pool area for free and it was absolutely stunning! I am a travel agent so managed to get a tour of the Royal Villa and WOW it was absolutely stunning. Thank you Maria for showing us around and Mr Manuel for providing transport to and from the hotel.
Overall - We have a good stay and would probably visit again even if just for the staff.
Excellent hotel in all aspects , room was brilliant and maintained to a high standard, breakfast was very good and the staff in all areas fantastic with particular praise for Michael and Tania at the pool bar
We recently stayed at the Kolymbia Art Hotel in Rhodes and had a wonderful experience overall. As an adults-only hotel, it offered a great, relaxing atmosphere that we highly appreciated. The Highlights: The Staff: Absolutely wonderful from start to finish. We arrived at a brutal 2:00 AM, and the security man on duty was incredibly lovely—he even carried our heavy suitcases down the steps for us! Room 701: A fantastic choice. It comes with a swim-up pool, a very comfortable bed, and gets the sun much later in the day than all the other rooms. Despite being located near reception and having a road/hotel built directly in front of it, the room was remarkably quiet. Location: Excellent location. It’s just a short, easy walk into town, and the beach is very close by. Food & Drink: The restaurant was very good for both breakfast and dinner, with very reasonable prices. The pool bar was another massive highlight—wonderful food, drinks, and service. Things to Note: The room itself felt a bit dated, and we noticed the drains got a bit smelly in the afternoon. Note on photos: The photos were taken just as we were packing up to leave, so please excuse any mess! Overall, the positives heavily outweighed the minor issues. We had a brilliant stay, highly recommend this hotel, and would absolutely return!
