This delightful hotel is situated in the scenic, lush expanse of Kolymbia and enjoys a very convenient location with every part of the island within quick and easy reach. Guests may take a walk, enjoy a coffee in a local cafe or buy souvenirs or gifts from the various local shops. This family friendly hotel offers guests a home away from home during the holidays, providing rest and relaxation to parents and fun and games to children. Guests can dive right into the crystal clear waters of Kolymbia Beach, which lies just at the end of the hotel garden. All rooms are conveniently furnished and come with a balcony overlooking the peaceful sea of Afandou, the swimming pool, the gardens with a view of the Panagia Tsambika Monastery or the Seven Springs.
Not exactly a 4 star hotel, according to the habitual criteria applied in the Mediterranean area, but everything in the right Place at the right Moment. A particular merit note for the restaurant service and variety of typical National and International cuisine. In a week I had a taste of at least 4 different kinds, all excellent. Very clean swimming pool. Kindness in all personnel, waiters and maidens. Not so kind at the bar: unfortunately, quite rude.
Very kind, helpful en friendly staff! Good choice for families with children. The lactation is very good, it’s about 35 minutes by bus from the airport. It’s also near many shops of Kolympia.
The staff nice and very friendly but the hotel no way 4 star. Max 2.5 or 3 star way to far . The hotel dont have smoking policy im a non smoker people jist smoke every where outside that unacceptable . You cant watch kids entertainment when next to you all tavle lookj like a smoke factory. Or next to the swimming pool. You need to put 1 sifn where people smoke!!!! After dinner the bar que unaccatble 1 or 2 people working que outside tbe lobby!!!
Thats hotel very good with small kids under age 8 but tbe oldest they bored. Need to put some money to refurbished ome plave the hotel over used.
This definitely isn’t a 4 star hotel or all inclusive, I would gravitate towards a 3.
Food, pool, beach and waterslides are best thing about this hotel, but it would be great if people didn’t reserve sunbeds at stupid o clock in the morning - went to pool at 7am and people had already reserved beds and they didn’t show up to the bed until after 9:30-10am.
Some staff nice, some staff rude but we arrived first day and asked for late checkout which they said would be ok and we would get a confirmation email, only to be told on the last day we can’t get late checkout out they are fully booked? We spent all week thinking we were going to get a late check out only to be told different last minute - very frustrating.
Rooms are old, desperate need of refurbish and the WiFi/signal is rubbish in the rooms but it’s fine everywhere else around hotel.
Entertainment team boring and old.
This hotel is definitely more targeted for Europeans (majority of them rude and have a staring problem) for the review that said “for any other English visitors worried that this hotel was more for other European visitors based on reviews, it is definitely not the case.” is simply not true unfortunately, no English people so felt as though we stuck out like a sore thumb. No showers for people with late checkout.
Our first time visiting Greece and it’s put a damper on it.
We spent our holiday with our 4 year old daughter at Irene Palace Beach Resort last June, and this year we decided to return because of what we appreciated most — the family atmosphere and warm welcome. Throughout our stay we felt that the staff really loves children, so we felt safe, relaxed and comfortable. The stuff talked with the kids, smiled, remembered their names, and did their best to make us feel at home.
We developed close relationships with some members of the staff, whose affection and friendly communication we especially appreciated — particularly the wonderful cleaning lady Teresa, very warm-hearted person, who gave us a comforting hug after the earthquake and always greeted us with a smile; the professional and friendly reception staff member Nina; Vasilia, who warmly welcomed our child every evening at the restaurant and spent some time talking with her even on a busy night (our daughter loved such moments with her); and the lovely restaurant team — Anthoula, Irena, Marina, Anastasios, and Panagiotis — to whom we are very grateful for their daily attention.
This hotel is especially worth visiting because of the people who work there, but also for the delicious food, great location with beautiful garden and pleasant beach, and excellent facilities for children. Bus stop is near hotel, which is very convenient.
However, cleanliness should be improved — in a four star hotel there should not be yellow stains in the basin, and rooms should be cleaned under the beds. A dead fly that remained on the stairs for the whole week showed that the stairs had not been cleaned for some time. Nevertheless, we are sure these flaws can be easily corrected.
