Cooks Club Kolymbia

I spent 5 night here with my husband at the end of September, the hotel had a wonderful chilled vibe. There are two pools, one is more quiet and the other has a resident DJ, which we preferred, it wasn't too loud it was just the right mix. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded so we had a beautiful, large room over looking the mountains one side and the pool the other. Breakfast was lovely it was a buffet service and there was everything you would want from healthy fruit and seeds to fried breakfast. The same restaurant was used in the evening but was table service, a set menu of which you had a choice of 4 courses, Starter was set but the aperitif and main you had a choice of two then a pudding or various ice creams. All of the food was excellent. The town was a 15 minute walk from the hotel and there was a small beach about 5 minutes and a small supermarket on the corner. I would have given 5 stars but my only 'gripe' was we hired a quad bike through the hotel as we wanted to explore for the day, we went to Rhodes and walked around Old Town which I have to say is a must! However, the Quad Bike cut out on us 5 times, 3 whilst on motorway, Fortunately we had no incidents, however, we did cut our exploring short as the finial time on the motorway we had no where to pull over and very nearly had a collison. On arrival back at the hotel I informed them and they did not seemed phased or bothered by this which I was quite disappointed about. For a service they are promoting I'd had thought they would have been more concerned, I told them the Quad cut out multiple times, the display (speedometer) went dead multiple times and generally the Quad was in poor condition. They kind of shrugged her shoulders and said I can call them, let them know if you want very unapologetically. We didn't hear anything back from them. So this would be my only grip other than that Hotel was lovely

I stayed at Cook’s Club Kolymbia for 3 nights and 4 days for my 26th birthday, travelling solo, and overall, I had a wonderful experience. As someone travelling alone for a birthday celebration, the hotel's atmosphere and hospitality made such a difference, and so much of the team made my stay truly special.

Upon arrival, the reception staff were lovely, and they generously gave me a complimentary room upgrade, which was such a lovely surprise! My room was clean, comfortable and beautifully presented, and the hotel itself has a gorgeous atmosphere. The breakfast was genuinely 10/10, with plenty to enjoy each morning. The poolside drinks were reasonably priced, and room service was excellent. The staff were also incredibly helpful with my luggage, which I really appreciated.

A special mention has to go to Angelo, Notis and Pamela. They were absolutely fantastic! They were warm, attentive and genuinely made me feel welcome throughout my stay. As a solo traveller, I never once felt alone when they were around, and their kindness and hospitality made such a difference to my experience. They helped create such a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, and their efforts did not go unnoticed.

The hotel also left a bottle of bubbly and a birthday cake for me on my actual birthday, which was such a thoughtful and beautiful gesture. It made celebrating my birthday away from home feel extra special, and I am so grateful to the team for making the effort. These little touches really do make a difference, particularly when travelling solo.

Another brilliant touch is the hotel's consideration for guests on departure day. Even after checking out, you can still enjoy the pool and use a shower room for 30 minutes before your flight. This was incredibly convenient and meant I could make the most of my final day in Rhodes rather than feeling rushed to leave the hotel. The team were also helpful with my luggage, which made the whole experience even smoother.

Unfortunately, there was one disappointing experience that I feel needs to be mentioned. On the day of my departure, I checked out with a receptionist named Djana, whose attitude was, in my experience, appalling. She was rude towards me and swore at me at reception, which I found completely inappropriate and upsetting. It was particularly disappointing after such a lovely stay and so many consistently positive interactions with the rest of the team. I had received a warm welcome when checking in, so ending my trip on this note was disheartening.

Despite this unfortunate incident, I would absolutely return to Cook’s Club Kolymbia. The hotel, facilities, food, affordable poolside drinks and, above all, the wonderful staff made my solo birthday trip memorable.

I would happily return and am already planning to bring friends and family next time! Thank you to the team for making my 26th birthday in Rhodes so special. With a little more consistency in the reception experience, this hotel would be exceptional.

We thoroughly enjoyed our few days at Cooks Club.

The hotel is stunning with beautiful gardens and wonderful pools.

Rooms are very stylish although a little on the small side. The double bed is actually 2 singles, each with their own bedding and a small gap in between. Mattress was comfortable but very soft. TV was 6 years old so doesn't support streaming services. Hairdryer was really poor and would over heat. Mini fridge really is mini. Very limited storage in the room and there is no mirror or light at the desk for hair and make up.

Breakfast was 5* and had everything you could possibly want. Bit of challenge to get staff to refill coffee, water and juices though, we were never offered a top up and always had to ask.

We stayed in block 400 with a view over the waterpark. Not overly impressed at first but we then saw some ground floor rooms were below ground level and had a view of a wall so the waterpark view was preferable.

We slept well but the local cockerel starts crowing around 0630 and some dogs soon join in with their barking. Delivery trucks then start rumbling down the road at 0730.

Pools are really busy by mid morning but there is usually something free. The pool towels help avoid sun bed hogging but it does happen. Just a shame the staff don't clear empty glasses and food containers more often.

Staff are polite and professional but most have their heads down a lot of the time studying their work mobile device.

Hotel is definitely more suitable for under 30s though.
